The conclusion of The Dominions trilogy is finally (almost) here! This was definitely different than I was expecting, but in a great way. I devoured this (no pun intended, iykyk) in like a day! This book was much darker and deadlier than the first two books, which was an interesting change of pace. Meren and Reven’s story also took a different turn, but I enjoyed seeing how things played out between them. The ending absolutely devastated me, but was also a pretty satisfying conclusion. I do wish some things played out differently, but overall I’m very happy with this book.
Thank you Entangled for the opportunity to listen to the ARC audiobook!

I found this to be a satisfying end to the Dominions trilogy. The books should be read in order.
This story had twists, heartbreaks, betrayals, and redemptions. So much happens in this book with the struggles to defeat Eidolon, trying to release the Goddesses and save the Dominions. Everything was resolved for the main characters, Reven and Meren, but not without loss. Reven continues to be one of my favorite book boyfriends.
The narration was well done and each character sounded unique, making it easy to follow.
Thank you to the publisher for the advance copy; all opinions are my own.
Cruel Goddess and humans in a relationship and all fantasy elements in tandem!!! Soooo cool!!….telepathy is such a clever idea here !

The Shadows Rule All was epic. It was packed with action, adventure, treachery, betrayal, love and so much more. I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I'm left with a bittersweet feeling that this series is over. I loved it even when it ripped my heart out and stomped on it. This book was wild. Everything in it was ramped up, the angst, the tension, the stakes, the emotion. It was definitely an emotional roller-coaster read. I'm left feeling all out of sorts. It will probably take me days to process all that I'm feeling right now. It was good and I highly recommend. The narrators did a great job of bringing all these characters, the action, tension and everything else in between to life. I didn't picture Meren's voice like this but I can't deny that the narrator did an amazing job of bringing her to life, her highs, lows and the emotions in between. Kudos to her and the male narrator for a job well done.
Samara Naeymi and Luis Moreno do a wonderful job bringing the story to life. Their narration is fantastic! This book is a beautiful conclusion to such an incredible series. I absolutely loved it! It took me on a wild ride that had me on the edge of my seat. There was a lot of amazing action with twists and turns that had me wondering what would happen next. This book managed to rip my heart to shreds and then stitch it back together and I enjoyed every second of it. It's just so heartbreakingly beautiful. But everything came together perfectly in the end. And all was wrapped up very nicely. I highly recommend this book and the entire Dominions series!
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for allowing me to listen to this book ahead of release in exchange for my honest opinion.
The author and the narrators did a FANTASTIC job with the story and the characters. This book was worth the wait. The Shadows Rule All was simply FANTASTIC! The story took me on an emotional roller coaster ride, but it was worth every emotion I felt. I don't want to give anything away but the characters in this story went through it but no matter what I could not get enough of Reven and Meren, but also Cain, Pella, Vos, Horos, Tziah, Hakan, Tabra and Bene. The chemistry between Reven and Meren was even more intense in this story because of what they went through, but to be honest the whole story was intense, interesting, action packed, emotional, funny and heartbreaking but there's also betrayal, revenge, destruction, memory loss, deaths, redemption, steamy scenes and love. When it came to the battle with Eidolon, so many other characters came into play as the goddesses from the beginning have come out to battle and revenge is the main motivation. There were so many unexpected surprises that I never saw coming and I will say that when it came to the battle scenes and the character's I loved, it hit hard when they were lost. Yes, this book had me in tears and the ending was perfect and definitely heartfelt. This conclusion was everything I needed and more and it's a series I can read/listen over and over because it's worth the tears again. This is a series I will happily be recommending to my book loving friends as this whole series was AMAZING!
The Shadows Rule All is the third and final book in the Dominions series. Owen nailed this finale and gave the story the ending it deserved. There was so much packed into this story with all of the plot lines that needed to be tied up. Owen also amped up the intensity in this installment. The characters were placed in precarious positions fairly frequently and as with war, not everyone makes it out. My heart hurt for Meren with everything she endured throughout this story but especially for some of the moments between her and Reven while the worked to find their happily ever after. I loved that we got to spend more time with the family that Meren created and surrounded herself with. My one complaint was that the story did start to feel too long during the middle. However, the ending was so well done while being equal parts heartbreaking and full of hope. I combo read this between the ebook and audiobook. I love the narration by Samara Naeymi and Luis Moreno. I’ve read the other books in the series via audiobook and this continues to live up to expectations for narration. There’s so much emotion and expression that it’s easy to keep readers engaged in the story. You can’t go wrong with either eyeball or audiobook reading. This whole series is well worth the read.
