As with all of Sarah Eden's books, this book was just lovely, from start to finish! Time traveling between the French Revolution and the late 1800's makes for a supernatural tale that is also richly steeped in history!

The time travel theme leads to so many plot twists, making the last 1/3 of the book a riveting adventure!

Loved this one! It was the perfect mix of romance, danger, and well research historical accuracy all woven together with a little bit of time travel. Cannot wait for more in the series and to see who else rides the tides of time!

This was great novel with mystery and romance. Some really interesting and surprising elements in this book and they drew me right into the story. Was glued to the page. Definitely recommend.

The tides of time are mysterious and capricious as they move people through time and place. I am excited that there will be at least one more book in this series!

This book started out a bit slow for me setting up the tides of time, translating the French (because even though I can guess from the context, I still want to know), and understanding the unfamiliar English dialect. Before long I was hooked and could not put it down! I loved Lili and Armitage, and his grandfather. The way that the paths crossed in time was fascinating. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

My heart has just experienced the story of a lifetime as I drifted through the tides of time. On the cusp of the French Revolution, Lili manages to escape on a ship and finds herself 80 in the future. The beautiful and innovative way this story ties together the past and the present and all aspects of love is enchanting. This historical romance is full of emotion and intrigue, and I can’t get over the way it drew me right in.

Armitage is a lighthouse keeper living with his grandfather and Lili challenges and upends his life. I fell in love with Armitage and his grandfather. The multi-faceted time slips capture pieces of history and familial connections, as well as deliver a very engaging story. I love this couple, the townsfolk, and every aspect of this well-written and mystical story that swirls around these magical tides of time.

I was hooked from the very first page of this captivating time-slip novel. Ms. Eden's heroine, Lili, is transported through time while caught in a storm at sea. Leaving the horrors of the French Revolution behind, she finds herself 8o years in the future. But will her past catch up with her?

I absolutely loved this story. This is my first book by Ms. Eden, yet she has been on my radar for quite awhile. If you are on the fence, I encourage you to take the plunge. This is a MUST READ. MS. Eden is a brilliant storyteller.

This is a story of family and love. It is a story of healing, overcoming the deep sorrow of grief and finding the courage to open the heart for love. Did I say 'love'? The romance is utterly delightful.

I really liked the way Ms. Eden wove Lili's past history of the French Revolution throughout. The danger and horrors of the Reign of Terror should not be forgotten. I also enjoyed the realistic descriptions of the confusion Lili felt when she first traveled through time. Ms. Eden masterfully weaves the individual threads of the story together, from Lili's past to Armitage's present.

I am thrilled that there will be a second book in the series. Highly recommend for fans of historical fiction with a touch of fantasy in the form of time travel thrown in.

I thoroughly loved this story! I hesitate to say too much because it’s a book that needs to be experienced. The twists & turns easily kept me reading late into the night & I was on pins & needles hoping everything would work out in the end.

The author did a fabulous job making Lili’s time slip utterly believable & enthralling. As she wonders at all the new modern attire & conveniences, she’s still trying to overcome the fear & horrors she just fled. Her romance with Armitage is a slow burn delight as she learns to feel safe again.

I adored Armitage, his charming grandfather, & the Islanders who make Lili feel so comfortable. Armitage’s experienced his own losses. I enjoyed seeing his suspicions fade as he gets to know Lili. He’s such an amazing hero who’s willing to go to any lengths to protect her.

The time traveling element is so unique. I loved how it all worked even though it’s still a mystery. The treacherous villain surprised me along with the great lengths he goes to.

I will be honest, I initially was drawn to this book because of how beautiful the cover is. I have been trying to determine what book I wanted to read since I have been in a mini reading slump. I was surprised to see that this book had everything that I needed to get back into reading: compelling characters, time travel, a maritime setting, and a very sweet romance that I could not get enough of. It was quite refreshing to have a romance that made me so emotionally invested that I actually cried a couple of times while reading.

Lili and Armitage were the perfect dual POV. The chapters were very easy to read and flowed into one another, making the book addicting to read. I am not a history buff regarding The French Revolution, but you don’t have to be for this story. While the way Lili described her time period was quite repetitive in language, I still felt myself on the streets of France during 1793. Armitage and the rest of the lighthouse crew rounded out the dynamic perfectly. I thought that the fierceness of Lili paired well against the warmth felt in the little sea town. The found family Lili has in the village warmed my heart. The way Lili was dealing with her trauma and healing was such a beautiful part of the story. I almost wished that her brother did not have much of a part in the second act but that is a selfish wish since I did not like him. However, that should speak volumes to how the author wrote him if I felt that strongly about him.

I was expecting some of the plot twists, but I was not expecting how this story was going to end. I really hope this isn’t the end of Lili and Armitage’s story. I would most definitely read more of Sarah M. Eden’s works.

Lili Minet is a bold young woman, living on the edge of saving people and herself becoming yet one more victim of Lady Guillotine during the French Revolution. When she is caught up in a violent storm and awakens in a different time period, she is totally disoriented and suspicious of what actually occurred. Could it really be true that Armitage Pierce and his grandfather are who they claim to be? Kind light keepers who also rescue others? I loved the comparison and how similar yet different that was for all of them.

The possibility of time travel was intriguing and I loved how the author wove Lili and Armitage’s stories together. Even though Lili was transported to a different time, she could not have been treated any better by the Pierce’s and the people in the village.

In keeping with the authenticity of Lili being French, there are many times that she spoke phrases in her native language that I had to guess as to what she was saying instead of actually knowing. I found that to be a bit distracting, but it didn't detract from the story.

Ohhhhhh wowwwwww. This book. I had SUCH a book hangover after finishing -- it was so very good. As an unapologetic Sarah M. Eden fangirl, let me just say: This one competed HARD for the title of favorite. "Friends & Foes" still holds that title, but this one comes in at a CLOSE second. Seriously: six out of five stars.

Can I first say that I loved the time travel element of this novel? That was initially what drew me to it. Time travel is one of my most favorite plot elements - but nearly every Time Travel book I've read either pulls the character forward to our time, or away from our time. I've not once read one that shifted the characters between two historical periods, and that alone was delightfully new.

Second, the characters and their relationships. Lili and Armitage are both complex, three-dimensional characters, and I felt as if I knew them by the end. They are flawed and scarred - human. While fast-moving, their attraction felt genuine and realistic. There is a significant focus on other members of Armitage's family (especially his grandfather), and I appreciated that those relationships were given as much page-time as the budding romance.

Speaking of, this is not a romance novel. This is a story of strength, and fierce love, and defiance of the odds. The romance results from all of those other actions -- and the openness of two individuals willing to reach beyond what's comfortable.

AND THE TIME TRAVEL! Oh, it was delightfully twisty and turney -- and I was surprised by a couple of the twists! This was such a fantastic read, and I cannot wait to see where it goes next. I AM HERE for all of it.

I really love this author! I’ve read and own several of her books. Historical fiction is my jam. I really love time travel. I thought it was really interesting that Lili was in the past and traveled to the future, which was still in the past. I’ve read a ton of time travel. I think Lili and Armitage were really interesting characters with complexity. I really enjoyed the plot. I would definitely read more books if this is a series!

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical fiction!

I’m not gonna lie, it kind of took me a while to get into this story, but once I was it completely swept me away!

Lili is an incredible character with an incredible story. I’ve always been intrigued by the French Revolution and seeing it from this perspective was so intense and eye opening.

And Armitage was such a sweetheart. I love how supportive he was. All of his family and the entire island of Lofstone, really. I loved them all.

The time travel was very interesting and unique and I enjoyed that aspect of the story as well.

But really, rawness is the history and setting are what really made this book shine for me!

Sarah Eden is an absolute master at historic fiction and she just blew me away with this time slip romance. Eden gives just the right amount of historically accurate detail to send a reader tumbling into another world. Each time period is portrayed with vivid imagery, culture, language, etc.
Lili and Armitage are both such deep and courageous characters. I love them both and how their relationship grows. This story was one of those that I wanted so badly to finish, but also wished that it would never end. I finished reading it a week ago and I still keep thinking about it. Five stars! And I am so excited to read the next book in the series!

While I love reading books about time travel, this was a new endeavor by Sarah M. Eden, and I will freely admit I wasn’t sure what I would find or if I would like this new direction. But I am happy to say I really liked it! I wasn't crazy about Geraud, but once you read it, it's understandable. I loved the characters of Lili, Armitage, and Grandfather. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

This was such a fun story! Lili lives in 1793 France but gets transferred to 1873 England after falling into the sea. There she meets Armitage who is a lighthouse keeper. I loved watching Lili not know what things are and having to learn them. One thing like seeing a train, terrified her and I can understand that. I liked that even though Armitage didn’t know why Lili acted peculiar he still wanted to help her. I also liked that his Grandfather did know and was there for her. It’s hard to write a review on this story without spoilers so I will just say I really enjoyed this story and found the historical events really interesting. Overall a great book and I definitely recommend!

The Tides of Time is the first book in Sarah M. Eden’s The Tides of Time series. It’s a romance that spans two centuries during which Eden asks readers to imagine “what if” people could travel through time.

Pacing is key to Tides of Time, as is Eden’s decisions as to when certain time traveling events take place. There’s not a lot of bouncing around, which makes for cleaner storyline.

Lili and Armitage are likeable characters, though it does take a while to get used to Lili’s accent and Armitage’s Southern English dialect. Eden does provide context, which helps a lot.

The Tides of Time is a sweet romance that touches on 1790s French history, localized customs, and the tasks and duties of lighthouse keepers. It’s a quick, enjoyable read. I look forward to the second book in the series.

*Though intended for adults, it will appeal to young and new adults alike.

Wow! This was a stunning book. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book but I ended up really enjoying it. The Tides of Time is the first book in Sarah M Eden’s Storm of Tide Romance series.
The characters and the story held me captive. I was drawn in by Lili and Armitage. The plot was so engaging and I didn’t want to put the book down. Lili was from the French Revolution and Armitage was 80 years in the future. They shouldn’t have met and yet they were drawn together.
I loved both Lili and Armitage, they were both wary of each other but they grew to understand each other. The romance was a sweet addition to the series as Lili and Armitage try to figure out what life was going to look like since Lili was out of place with danger lurking.
The concept of the story was so intriguing and I am excited to read the books to come. I don’t want to give anything away but it is definitely a book that you should pick up. It is relatively easy to read but I do feel like I was confused at times. However it was still enjoyable and didn’t slow me down too much.
The Tides of Time is a clean time travel romance that will leave you wanting more. I loved getting to know the characters. There were so many twists and turns that I didn’t know what was going to happen. Overall, I would totally recommend it!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from my first time slip romance….but let’s just say I was not disappointed! Sarah Eden weaves the timelines so well throughout this novel. The characters were easy to fall in love with and the beautiful love that Armitage and Lili have makes the whole book.
