he Little Island Flower Stall
By Tilly Tennant
When Bella leaves her husband after finding out about his latest affair she bravely decides to pack a small bag and escape to the picturesque island of Jersey. There, she finds solace in helping her beloved great-aunt Celestine manage her charming seaside flower stall, where the scent of blooming blossoms mingles with the salty sea air.
This book is a delightful tapestry of emotions—lovely, heartwarming, and at times profoundly heartbreaking. I was particularly enchanted by the vibrant relationship between Bella and her spirited 94-year-old great-aunt Celestine. Their bond transcends the age gap, as they support one another in navigating their individual traumas, creating a beautiful harmony of wisdom and youthful resilience.
Alongside their journey, we meet Rory, a man on a quest to identify the mystery of his grandfather’s birth parents. When Bella learns of Rory's search, she selflessly offers assistance, propelling them into an adventure filled with revelations about family and history that echoes the island’s tumultuous wartime past.
Every character in this story grapples with personal struggles, making them relatable and multi-dimensional. Tilly Tennant’s writing is captivating and flows effortlessly, painting vivid imagery that draws readers in. This beautifully crafted tale held my attention from start to finish, evoking a range of emotions that linger long after the last page is turned.

Unfortunately I could not get into this book. Maybe if I didn’t have other more attractive, intriguing books calling for me in my TBR I would’ve given this one more attention. I really did try but I kept finding myself drifting away from the story and it wasn’t captivating me. I didn’t really like the third person narrative. I also found it hard to believe she didn’t have much of a relationship with her great-aunt and then suddenly moves in and works for her. Sadly this just wasn’t exciting enough for me to grab my attention and keep my attention long enough to get very far, so I did not finish it.

After a dicey marriage, can Bella find a new life on Jersey while helping her great Aunt? I loved Celestine! Past secrets, new love and 2nd chances all rolled into 1 beautifully written read!

as soon as i saw Tilly Tennant i new i wanted to read it. one of my go- to authors. one i know there will be a me everyday wanting to be anywhere where i can sit and read more. the books that make you want to find a nook, feel cozy and heart warmed by beautiful books and an extremely talented author.
Bella travels to Jersey to help her injured Aunt on her flower stall. shes left her cheating husband finally. this isnt the first time and thanks goodness shes finally seen the light and left. but shes obviously beaten and not feeling her best. Jersey and the locals is just what she needs. just what we all need please!
she has such a lovely relationships with Celestine and when walks in Rory well things definitely start to seems a little brighter. but there is a mystery surrounding him. i was automatically hoping this wouldn't be another heartbreak for her.
its clear to me that Jersey is where Bella should be. and i was hoping she would see it too.
i was very invested in these characters even from one read of the book. and could happily come back to them or the wider characters.
i once again had a giant tick list for all i want from a book from this one. tick tick tick.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I enjoyed reading this book, the setting of which was beautiful.
When Bella realises that her husband is still cheating on her, she finally plucks up the courage to leave him.
She heads for Jersey to help with running the flower stall that her great aunt runs as she’s had an accident.
Whilst she’s running the stall with her aunts help, Bella realises that she enjoys what she’s doing as well as the island she’s at.
I loved the characters were, some were funny, and others made you emotional. The story was well written and I enjoyed reading about what the islanders went through during the time of the war.
I recommend this book.

Bella leaves her husband after finding out about his latest affair and takes the opportunity of travelling to Jersey to help her injured great aunt Celestine run her flower stall. There she helps a man, Rory, to try to find out more about his family who originally came from there.
This is a story on many levels, there's the wonderful sounding setting of Jersey, Bella rekindling her relationship with Celestine and learning how to run a flower stall, her potential relationship with Rory and the mystery of his origins on the island. It does touch upon life on the island during its occupation by the Germans during the second World War and it's effect upon the local population. The search for Rory's origins also uncovers some long lost secrets and subsequent loss of friendships. Overall an enjoyable book on all those levels and, yet again, tempts me to visit a new to me holiday destination.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

The LIttle Island Flower Stall was a heartwarming and heartbreaking story.

Bella has just left her controlling husband and lands on the doorstep of her Aunts house in Jersey, she has had a fall and needs someone to help with the flower stall. She’s glad of the escape, but falls in love with Jersey. This was a lovely feel good book that brings strangers together. I love the way Tilly writes and always leaves a smile on my face while reading her books. 5 star read.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.

Thank you to Net Galley for this arc.
This is the first book that I have ever read by Tilly Tennant. It is a cozy mystery that I would recommend reading during the spring/summer. The story follows Bella who uproots her life after finding out that her husband was cheating on her. In order to escape, she visits her great aunt and helps her with her flower shop. The story follows Bella and Celestine (her aunt)as it switches between the present and 1940's as both women begin to heal from their heartbreak and bridge the gap of trauma.
This was such a good/slightly heartbreaking book. My only complaint with the book was the ending. It felt very rushed and I wished it would've slowed down a bit. I wished we could've had an epilogue far into the future.

When Bella’s husband, Sean, cheats on her yet again, she finally realises her marriage is over and heads off to Jersey to stay with her great aunt, Celestine.
Celestine has had a bad fall and has been unable to open up her flower stall, so Bella decides to learn the business and help her great aunt.
Rory is trying to learn the truth after finding out his grandad had been adopted. He starts to gain information, but becomes stuck. With many secrets being kept hidden, will he find out what went on during WW2 on the island?
I found this to be a beautifully told story that held my attention throughout.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters and learning all their little ways. Celestine was a wonderful character, full of life, even at such a great age. She made me smile and reminded me of my great nan.
I’ve never been to Jersey but felt like I knew some of the area thanks to the author’s descriptive writing.
I liked the references to WW2, and the tunnels on the island. The research shone through in the story and gave some interesting facts.
My thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was my second book by the author and it was just as lovely as my first. Equal parts cozy mystery and romance, this was a nice escape for the afternoon.
Bella has come to help out her great aunt after she falls and breaks her ankle. She runs the local flower shop and now she can’t be on her feet for the next 6 weeks and since Bella is going through a rough time after separating from her cheating husband, it is the perfect escape for her. Both Bella and Celestine have trauma to work through Ana they do it together while bridging the age gap to become not just family but also friends.
Rory turns up in town and Bella is soon smitten, but Rory has his own baggage he’s carrying. As they spend more time together and feelings grow, Rory lets her down and Bella is left to decide what she wants for her future, relationship wise and whether she will stay in town.
This one is for all readers who like a second chance at life story with a sweet hint of romance and a bit of cozy mystery mixed in. I can’t wait to read what the author writes next.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

Tilly Tenant is one of my favorite author and so I was really looking forward to reading this new book from her! Especially this one as it has flower on the title and I love love flowers! And I have not been disappointed! I adored this book! So lovely! It's a beautiful story between Bella and her great aunt who is very old and never talks about her past during the war in the little island of Jersey. It's also about a lovely friendship and maybe romance between her and a handsome guy who is looking for answers about his family on the island of Jersey. This book is so lovely to read, I can only recommand it! I give this book a 4 stars out of 5!

Tilly Tennant is one of my favourite authors in this genre, and once again she has given readers a wonderfully enjoyable, heartwarming and touching story. Two stories of developing feelings and love, in both the 1940s and current time. I liked the notes of Jersey’s history that infuse this story and set the scene for what is to come when long-held secrets are finally revealed.
Fully-formed characters within a beautiful setting and with a storyline that held my interest from beginning to end made this a great read.

When Bella discovers her husband is cheating again she decides enough is enough.
Packing up her car, Bella Initially goes to her parents. When they tell her that her great-aunt Celestine has had a fall and needs help to run her flower stall in Jersey. Bella sees an opportunity to get away from everything while she decides what to do next.
Arriving on the beautiful island Bella receives a warm welcome not only from Celestine but from all those she meets.
While Celestine teaches Bella about flowers the two women become closer, and Bella learns more about her great aunt than she ever expected.
Then Bella meets Rory who is on the island looking into his history. Rory believes he is descended from someone who was on Jersey during the German occupation, possibly a prisoner of war.
Celestine was a teenage girl during the occupation but is very reluctant to open up about those times. What secret is Celestine keeping and could it help Rory find his roots. But Celestine isn’t the only one keeping secrets and Bella will be left wondering who she can trust.
This is a wonderful story of family, friendship, love and secrets long held. Set in a beautiful place with characters you will take to your heart this is the perfect read t cosy up with on a cold winters day.

This book was a little gem.
Heartbreak in the present and in the 1940s told by different women.
Lots of history of Jersey which I loved and a cozy love story.

A gentle tale of Bella, who leaves a bad marriage to spend time with her great aunt Celestine on Jersey, She didn't know much about Celestine before moving there and now thanks to Rory, who is on the island looking for information about his own family, she learns more. Tennant wraps in family secrets with romance-and there's good atmospherics. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This was a good read on a very cold day!

Very cute book about Bella, fleeing a bad marriage moving to Jersey to help her elderly aunt run a flower stall when she falls and gets injured. Along the way she meets Rory, who’s travelled to the island in search of his long lost family. As she agrees to help him and explore the island together, they gradually fall for each other. Per usually there a. 3rd act breakup, but a satisfying ending.

The Little Island Flower Stall by Tilly Tennant is a heartwarming and uplifting story set on a picturesque island that feels like a breath of fresh air. With lovable characters, a touch of romance, and a beautiful setting, the book explores themes of starting over, healing, and finding joy in unexpected places. Tennant’s engaging writing and vivid descriptions make it easy to lose yourself in this feel-good tale. Perfect for fans of cozy, escapist reads.

This was an enjoyable book with likable characters.
The location sounds really nice and somewhere you might want to visit. I don’t think I was quite ready for the book to end. I do think it ended kinda quick.
