This Christmas romance is a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours meeting Eve and Will, two writers who are thrown together to write a story.
Unforunately the two of them are rivals and dislike each other very much. They also dislike Christmas so to find themselves sent to Noelville where every possible cheesy aspect of the season is happening all around them is additional cause for misery. However they have to make the best of things in order to write their articles and slowly their relationship with the season and with each other begins to change.
It is a very clean romance, more of a romcom really as the dialogue is frequently amusing. Short but sweet and an enjoyable read.
This was SO CUTE and so funny and not a totally cheesy holiday romance. I loved this so much! And a Canadian Author to boot (more please!). Well done.
Many thanks to Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op for the chance to read and rate this ARC. the BEST holiday romance I have read to date.
Eve and Will both work for Live, Laugh Travel as writers, but a promotion is coming up and they are both going for it. However, when their boss gets tickets to Noelville, they both think they are going with her until they turn up on the train and see each other.
But as they both dislike Christmas and each other this assignment is looking harder than expected.
Told through the point of view of both main characters we see how they find what they have in common in their dislike for all things Christmassy, but it's soon the magic that will bring them closer together at this special time of year.
This is a cosy Christmas novella which is a quick and easy read to get you into the Christmas spirit,
This fun, quick read was a Hallmark movie making in the progress. I loved the characters and the storyline. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed reading this book it really was like a Hallmark Christmas movie as a book. Two travelwriters who are rivals and not really into Christmas are sent to Noeltown - where Christmas is celebrated year-round- the week before Christmas. Of course they keep running into each other and the more they interact the more they decide the other is not as bad as assumed...
Very entertaining and full of all things Christmas.
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Julianna Keyes was the perfect read to put me in the holiday spirit. If you enjoy a clasdic Hallmark Christmas movie, you will love this quick, fun read.
Eve and Will are rival travel writers who are sent on an assignment to the town of Noelville to discover the true meaning of Christmas. For all their differences, the two share a cynicism for the magic of the holiday, but will the charms of the town convince them that they might just be exactly what the other needs to be swept up in the spirit of the season?
A quick, quirky and charming read that is guaranteed to have you ready to hang your stocking.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for an ARC.
Loved it!! It's basically a Hallmark Movie as a book!
Eve and Will were absolutely hilarious and the whole setting too! It's perfect to cozy up with a hot chocolate and enjoying the colder temperatures.
I would watch it as a Movie too!!
Thank you Netgalley!
This may be the most Christmassy book I’ve ever read!
This story is set in the winter wonderland of Noelville, where two ambitious and equally competitive writes are sent to write a Christmas story. This book has it all Christmas vibes, cozy vibes, snow, enemies to lovers and many cheesy moments. If you love Christmas then you’ll love this book.
Personally I found it a bit too cheesy like a Halmark movie.
Thank you netgslley for an advanced copy of this book, a opinions expressed are my own.
*giggling* I’m filled with warm, fuzzy feelings and can't help but wear a silly grin from ear to ear, as if I can already hear the Christmas bells ringing. While holiday stories like this one can be predictable, I can’t deny that it was the perfect novella to get me into the festive spirit. Where do I sign up to visit Noelville?
I enjoyed the charming setting and the sweet, clean romance. While there were a few convenient coincidences and no major character surprises, the story was a joy to read.
This book was such a fun and clean romance with all of the hallmark vibes you could ever want. The plot was cute and i really enjoyed that both characters were writers that were sort of competing against each other to get the promotion they wanted. I really want to visit a cute little christmas town now.
What a cosy read! I never normally like romance but this was a great balance of humour, plot & cosiness!!
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
This book is a Hallmark Christmas movie on steroids. It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Julianna Keyes totally put me in the holiday spirit! 🎄✨ I loved the enemies to lovers vibe between the main characters and the sweet, yet swoon-worthy moments. It’s the ideal read for anyone looking to escape into a holiday romance filled with warmth, laughter, and a touch of Christmas magic.
If you're a fan of holiday romances, you will enjoy this quick read! ❄️❤️
I loved this book. It was my first Christmas book from this year and I wasn’t disappointed.
I loved the story, the characters, the plot and the fact that it was a forced proximity romance.
⚠️ Extremely cheesy Christmas content in this book!
I think this has to be the cheesiest festive book I have read so far…. This cute novella follows the two main characters Eve and Will, both writers who are assigned to cover Christmas in the town of Noelville. They are both competing for the same writing position of ‘Travel Writer’ and enjoy spending time in Noelville experiencing the festive activities on offer together - I think you can guess the ending!! If you love Christmas Hallmark movies then this book is for you!
Thank you to #netgalley and #juliannakeyes for this free advanced copy.
I am leaving this review voluntarily
⭐️⭐️⭐️ simply because it was a bit too cheesy for my taste but I still enjoyed it as a short festive read.
If Hallmark Christmas movies had a jaded older sister, this would be it! I loved the back and forth between the protagonists, the vivid, over-the-top descriptions of the settings, and the super-sweet cutesy-ness of the supporting cast. It was a shorter book, but the perfect length for a weekend getaway to someplace both more magical and yet still realistic...
I can’t put my finger on it, but the story of two cynical people falling in love doesn’t really need to be meta. The references to cliches in the book start to grate few chapters in, and the chemistry between the two, seems more like forced proximity and angst than actual feelings. The pace of the narrative is slow, too slow sometimes and it never really picks up.
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas is a cozy novella that is perfect quick read during the holiday season. The story is cute just like the setting; Noelville which reminds me of a trip to Frankenmuth Michigan. This enemies to lovers troupe was enhanced by the main character's change of heart about the season itself as well.
Thank you Net Galley, Julianna Keyes and Victory Publishing for the opportunity to preview this title. The opinions shared are my own.
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas is expected to be released Dec. 1, 2024.
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Julianna Keyes was a sweet holiday romance novella.
This was just the right amount of Hallmark goodness that I absolutely love.
It was the perfect little read to get me into the Christmas Spirit! I absolutely loved it! It was super fast past which I loved! The character development in such a small book was amazing.
It wasn't the right choice for me because (sadly) there are very few books set around Christmas that I actually enjoyed. Yet I requested this book, mainly because of the author, as I enjoyed her book 'All the Missing Pieces' (Romantic Suspense). But this one didn't work for me. I couldn't connect with the characters and the writing style.
Thank you for the copy. Sorry, it didn't work. Not posting my review anywhere else.
Two writers competing for a senior writing position at the same travel blog find themselves on their way to a small Christmas-themed town. They are both tasked with writing an article about this Christmas crazy town; however, they both think Christmas is overrated.
This story was short and sweet! It was rather cute watching the main characters not only fall in love with each other but also with Christmas. Julianna Keyes created such a sweet little town that I am totally wishing was real.
