I love love LOVE this book! The kawaii art style of the illustrations filled me with so much joy. The rhyming clicked together perfectly, making the whole book feel like a song. However, the most notable thing about this book was the diversity. The author included foods from all around the world, and I even discovered some new foods! Even further, there is a fun and cute glossary at the back of the book that gives some fun facts about each food mentioned throughout the book. This was such a good idea because it makes this book educational. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this book.
Bravo!!!

Be My Yummy ABC by Joyce Wan is a delightful and playful alphabet book that introduces young readers to letters through a series of adorable, food-themed illustrations. Each page features a different letter paired with a fun, colorful food item. Wan’s soft, cheerful artwork adds a cozy, inviting feel to the book, making it perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. The rhyming text is simple and rhythmic, which helps engage young readers while they learn their ABCs.

What I particularly enjoyed was the added layer of information about the origins of each treat mentioned in the book. This subtle educational element provides a deeper connection to the foods and opens up opportunities for conversation about culture and history. It’s a nice touch that enriches the book, making it not only an engaging ABC read but also an informative one. Overall, Be My Yummy ABC is an endearing, visually captivating book that will appeal to both parents and children, making it a sweet and educational addition to any child's library.

Be My Yummy ABC is an alphabet picture book that features a variety of food types from around the world. Every culture has a dumpling and quite a few are shown here (I love them all). The pictures are cute and colorful and will hold your kiddo's attention. I liked that each food type is explained at the end!
