when i read the synopsis, i was so interested to pick it up! it sounded something that i'd enjoy given that i love dragons but it was sadly a miss for me.

🦇 “Since coming to Japan, he had heard the phrase "a woman's boobs are filled with the hopes and dreams of men" and he finally understood why someone had invented such a phrase. Indeed, these pneumatic knockers were the stuff dreams were made of.” i mean... why do they always have to talk about women this way? it ruins my reading experience... how are boobs this important to the story? i hated the descriptions of women in this book.
🦇 i wasn't interested in the story, i was sadly bored...
🦇 i did like the way the dragon talked in such an old fashioned english, but it wasn't enough for me to fully enjoy this book.
🦇 safe to say i won't be continuing with the series either, but glad i gave it a shot!

This was a strong start to the How to Tame your Dragon Girlfriends series, it had what I was looking for in a light novel and worked overall as a story. The characters were fun and worked well together overall. I enjoyed the illustrations and how Brandon Varnell wrote this, I’m excited to read more in this series.

Was my first time reading this style and I liked it! I assumed that this was manga, however I say another reviewer say it was written in prose style. So if that matters to you, be aware!

Not what I was expecting. Was a little thrown off when I first opened it, as I thought it was going to be a manga and not a prose novel.

This was a fun read, I can't wait for volume 2. The cover draws you in and you end up staying for the story!

Thank you NetGalley and Kitsune Incorporated for the ARC.

First thing I should say is I am unsure how this is categorized elsewhere but on NetGalley it was listed under Teens & YA so I was not expecting the random adult art work or the adult story. So please make sure you are aware and wanting to read an adult story. The artwork was beautiful though, I would read and enjoy a manga drawn in this style.

I love magic girl manga so I was very interested in reading this light novel style story that had dragon girls. The premise of the story was really cute but the writing was a little hard for me. One of the dragon girls is from ancient times so she speaks in old English style but it was just a little much for me to not be jarred out of the story when she spoke. Also, this is very much written in a ‘fan service’ style which isn’t necessarily bad but it isn’t something I tend to enjoy. For me this was just an average read but if you like fan service, dragon girls and an adult story it could very much be for you.
