Awesome book! This book is calming, beautiful, and educational, all at the same time. The dark and soft colors of the illustrations were very pretty, well-done, and definitely matched the theme of sleep that the book had. These elements make this book perfect for bedtime, as it will calm kids and end their day on a positive note before they fall asleep. Additionally, the way this book was written kept the energy level consistent and reasonable also makes this book meditative in a way. The illustrations also made each sea animal accurate and very adorable, which kids will adore.
As for the fun facts on every page: this was such a clever idea to include! Kids will leave this book with their brains full of sleep-related facts about sea animals. These fun facts will really stick because they were carefully chosen to be genuinely interesting. I even learned a few things from reading this book! All in all, I loved reading this book and I know that many kids will, too.
Bravo!
so many fun facts about animal sleep patterns and gorgeous graphics, my daughter loved learning about all the animals and it was a fun story.
This book is sweet and informative! It talks about all of the different ways that sea life sleeps! Some are similar to us, others have completely different sleep cycles and ways that they recharge their bodies.
The illustrations are great and help kids understand the processes.

Sleepy Sea is a sweet book about the many ways different sea creatures sleep. A little girl cannot fall asleep and her stuffed dolphin takes her on adventure to learn about how sea animals sleep. The illustrations are very fun and whimsical, while also sharing scientific information. It manages to bring in so many animal facts, while still feeling like a bedtime story. I definitely learned a lot of new things! I'd definitely recommend this to preschool and elementary aged kiddos, especially if they are interested in sea creatures.
