3.5 stars. This was a fast, super cute read! Workplace romance, best friend's brother, forced proximity. I really enjoyed the idea of the Midnight app, and I did like how June kind of uses that for her benefit, even though she wasn't really planning on it going the way it went. I was a little thrown off with some of the text conversations, considering that Beau is a higher up in his company, and he had LITERALLY NO IDEA who he was texting. I love the best friend's brother trope, but man, did the best friend bother me. Avery needs a reality check, and I hope she gets that in her book. Overall, if you are looking for a quick, easy read, I would suggest picking this one up!

This one sucked me in immediately and I was totally invested in Juniper and Beau from start to finish. It has a fast yet even pacing and I had the hardest time putting this book down.

I’ll read anything that the dynamic Max Monroe duo writes!

This book has secured its spot in my top all time top fav romcom elite. My other top fav is Christina Lauren’s Dating You / Hating You. I’m not much of a re-reader but for my top elite fav romcoms, I would totally reread them.

Also this one has me holding on to hope for an Avery / Henry sequel.

I absolutely adore Max Monroe! These books are always so laugh out loud funny. The quick wit will always keep me coming back for more and this one did not disappoint!

This story started off really well, but I could not get into it. The pace was a bit slow for me and i could but relate to the main characters at all. However, there is good chemistry and banter. Overall it's a sweet workplace romance. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy secret forbidden workplace romances.

This book was surprisingly delightful! I was initially worried because the two main characters, Juniper and Beau both come from extremely wealthy families and thought maybe they would be vapid or shallow. I’m happy to admit I was wrong! They are both seeking connection to real life - family, meaningful relationships, and a job they work hard at and enjoy. Beau is the older brother of Juniper’s best friend and she’s been crushing on him for years. When an opportunity to meet him online anonymously arises, she takes it and it allows her to show Beau a side of herself he’s never seen before.
I liked the way the book was laid out - dual perspective, but in parts rather than alternating chapters. It allows the reader to spend a bit more time with the characters between their POVs.
The story had spice, but also had other necessary things in a good novel - storyline, character growth, solid cast of friends and family and a subplot.
Overall, a 3.5 stars, rounded up!

I enjoyed this book a lot! It had me cackling at “a wet pussycat” within 5 minutes of starting the book! The tropes were top tier especially the office romance and found family. The app was a good staple in the book and I loved it! The line of night clubs were never ending and Avery was all for it and never skipped a beat! THE BANTER between the two was hot to handle! Definitely one of my new favorites!

I LOVED this book. As soon as I read the authors note, I knew this was going to have me laughing the whole time. I was so invested in our main characters, June and Beau. Their chemistry was on fire and I loved their flirty banter.

One thing I didn’t LOVE was Avery, June’s best friend. She came off way too… much. Too spoiled, too self-involved, too entitled. Can’t say I would continue the series if it was her story next.

Overall, I really enjoyed this. It was a fun, fast and easy read.

Juniper has a secret, she’s been in love for the past 10 years…with her best friends brother Beau, and he also happens to be a top exec at the PR firm his dad owns, which Juniper and Avery are now interns at.

The firm are given the task of trialling the new anonymous social media app “Midnight” and have to put together a campaign add for the client. Beau and his ex best friend Seth are given the opportunity to build their own team and campaign for the client. Juniper finds out that Seth is stealing Beau’s work, so she takes to Midnight to inform Beau of this. She realises this is anonymous and they begin to forge a relationship out with their real life friendship…

The book was a nice easy read, it had some spice, a little banter and a few cringey moments that made me laugh out loud.
The aspect of a one sided anonymous conversation was interesting and I thought the found family story line was cute.
Juniper seemed unhinged with her obsession over Beau and Avery came across as a spoiled entitled brat.
Beau and Juniper’s relationship seemed to go from friends to 100 pretty fast but overall I liked the book, it was good and was a palate cleanser between fantasy books.


Overall I would give the book:

They end up getting to know each other and realize there might be more than friendship between them. Will Beau be able to get past the fact he’s always seen Juniper as his younger sister’s best friend? Can Juniper see past the fact that this relationship might hurt her friendship with his sister?

This is a very sweet friends to lovers story. It is a sweet journey with Juniper always knowing how she feels and Beaus having to grow into the feelings. They are both nice people and respect each other’s feelings. I understand why they were concerned about telling his family, specifically his sister, since his family had kind of adopted Juniper as one of their own. If the new found relationship goes bad it could damage that family relationship. BTW, Midnight is a new dating app that Beau needs to create an advertising campaign for. He is competing with another member of the team at work. It was a believable part of the story. There is kind of a bad guy but it’s more of a friend turned enemy type thing.

If you are looking for a love story between two adults with a lot to lose if things go wrong, this might be the book you are looking for. I really enjoyed it and I will read more from this author in the future.

Admittedly, I’m probably a little older than the target audience but I still thought it was a good read. From the off limits brother of her best friend to the secret texting between “strangers,” the tropes worked. The friendships and relationships were lots of fun and brought it all together.

I could not stop laughing from the very beiginning! Neil and the pussycat!!!!! June is so quick witted and funny (unless she is standing in front of Beau). June had been pining after Beau for the last decade only problem is, he is her best friends brother. It took them "Meeting at Midnight" for Beau to see a different side of June and to see her in a new light.

I loved the texting exchange between Beau and June on the Midnight app. Think of Love is Blind if it was virtual.

I even loved the group of side characters. Avery is a little spit fire but she owns it!! Beau's friends have absolutely zero filters. I cannot wait for the next book!!

PS: Beau is definitely my new book boyfriend.

- The way Beau and Avery’s parents essentially adopt Juni highlights the idea that family isn’t just about blood relations.

What didn’t resonate with me:

- Avery comes off as excessively portrayed as a spoiled, entitled princess who everyone bends over backward for. While she might have a heart of gold she will expect platinum.

I breezed through this book in one sitting and would definitely recommend "Meet Me at Midnight" if you're in the mood for a quick, entertaining read. 💜

First of all, thank you Netgalley and Max Monroe for the ARC! It was such a surprise in my email. This was my first novel by Max Monroe and it definitely did not disappoint. If you are looking for a cute and fun read, look no further. I flew through this book. I loved Beau and Juni’s chemistry! I am a sucker for clever banter and text messages throughout a novel. I will definitely be picking up more novels by this author!

There are certain rules and tropes for a romance novel. And right away, this book skipped many of them and told a non-formula story. It was fun to have a different premise and the story never went where I thought it was going to, Too bad as much creativity wasn't used in the creation of characters- they were so stock, the only thing different was they were super rich instead of poor. The main female character who has no confidence and the totally perfect male lead. And the world's worst best friend.
Also would not end! One epilogue could have done.

4.5 stars - I laughed so hard reading this book!

Meet Me At Midnight was packed with so much humor that my cheeks still hurt--and a word of advice, be careful what you eat or drink while reading this one!

The story brilliantly combined several beloved tropes, and anyone who's ever nursed a crush on their BFF's older brother will adore the You've Got Mail vibe women throughout.

June and Beau's flirty banter was absolutely addictive, and I couldn't get enough of their chemistry. I'm excited that Avery's story is next--hopefully, it'll give her a chance to mature by then.

This was such a delightful change of pace after Max Monroe's last book, which had me emotionally reeling for weeks, but I'm a glutton for all the feels and laughter, so they can write no wrong.

Beau is intrigued by this new Mystery Woman and determined to discover who she is—not knowing that he has known her for years and that she is his sister's best friend. Juniper loves Beau but does not want to ruin her friendship or lose the only family that has been there for her over the years. Beau does not want to lose the connection he has found. I loved this book! A perfect example of she falls first, he falls harder. This book left me with a smile that lasted long after I finished the last chapter. Really conflicted on how I feel now I’ve finally finished. Took me longer than my norm to finish, and had to make myself read instead of binge Gossip Girl (always years late to popular stuff). Too much inner monologue repeating itself over and over saying the same things, just at different times.
