One of the best things about this author duo is their consistent ability to write stories that are impossible to put down, and this one is no exception. This is an entertaining stand alone read, that enjoyed.

This book highlights that, no matter your financial health, what matters most is the relationships and connections we make. I loved the willingness of the Banks’ family to envelope Juniper into their lives, and treat her as one of their own. I did find parts of this funny, but what stood out to me the most was the entertaining banter/messaging between Beau and his Mystery woman… and how that all played out.

Having a crush on your best friend’s older brother, and the disappointment of not being seen by him as anything but a “pseudo-sister” is what Juniper faced, and was completely relatable. While I didn’t love Avery, or how people around her seemed to excuse her behavior, I’m curious to see if her character will change in future books.

Overall, I enjoyed this read, and recommend it. It wasn’t a laugh fest for me, like many I’ve read from MM before, but there are parts that certainly brought smiles. It’s definitely worth your time, and I thank Netgalley for the ARC.

This book was a cute quick read! I liked Juniper’s character and Beau’s; however, I really didn’t like Avery….she seemed…not someone anyone would even want to be friends with so it wasn’t really a believable friendship connection. Other than that, the story was cute!

Meet Me at Midnight by Max Monroe follows Juniper and Beau, her best friend's older brother whom she has had a crush on since she was young. This is their journey to coming together.

Now, Juniper is a very privileged woman, and while she did grow up that way, she also had parents who weren't really there for her, especially after their divorce when she was young. In comes Avery, and her family the Banks', who take Juniper in as pretty much one of their own from the time she steps foot in their doors. One thing I loved with Juniper is that she didn't let the privilege life go to her head. She knows she's had a very privileged life, but she also works hard at her job and doesn't slack. In fact, Avery her best friend, seems to fit that "typical rich girl" persona very well. Avery is very flighty, flitting from work whenever she please, going to clubs, staying out late, etc.... This gives Juniper time to connect with Beau in an app called "Midnight" that allows people to chat completely anonymous, until she eventually has to come clean......

Beau is also very privileged, and while he works for his father, he also has worked hard to get where he is at through his own merits. Beau at first doesn't see Juniper as more than his little sister's best friend. Which is understandable given he is 5 years older than Juniper, and well he was also only 6 months out of a relationship with his now ex-girlfriend who he'd been with for a while. He is working on a marketing campaign for the Midnight app, he starts conversing with Juniper (unknowingly of course) and starts falling for her. What happens when Juniper comes clean? Well, let's just say......

I absolutely devoured this book, but I will admit it took me till around Beau POV started to really get into the story. I think I was holding out to see his reaction. From there, I couldn't put it down.

Need an escape?! Meet Me at Midnight by Max Monroe was laugh out loud funny from the very first page. It was such a fun and enjoyable read! A workplace romance where the main characters have secret chats on an app at night.

Juniper, the FMC, has been in love with best friend’s brother, for forever! Beau, the MMC, is truly swoon worthy. I loved how once he was in the relationship, he was all in!

Their romance was full of cute nicknames, sizzling secret massages, and some very hot chemistry! I also adored all the stolen moments that these two characters shared together, so well written.

I really enjoyed that this story was told in dual point of view, I enjoyed getting both main character’s perspectives. I thought the overall progression of the romance and storyline was spot on.

Can’t wait to see some of these characters again in future books!

Check out this book if you adore laugh out loud moments, elements of found family, and love a romance that makes you smile and blush all at once.

This was such a cute and fun read! I Loved the secret identity aspect, especially since they'd known each other for years. The cringy moments were so hilarious, I really enjoyed! Finished this book in one day, had me hooked.

I absolutely loved Juniper and Avery's friendship, it was just so wholesome and precious. Avery and Juniper became friends in kindergarten, they remained friends through elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and now share a condo together and they even work together at Banks and McKenzie Marketing, but Avery shows up to work whenever she wants because she's literally just a princess according to her father who is also her boss. Avery has a flighty attitude, quick wit, but most importantly she has a heart the size of Texas. I also loved Neil and Diane Banks, Avery and Beau's parents who are also Juniper's found family because Juniper's parents just basically left her high in the wind. I absolutely adored that the Banks family welcomed Juniper with opened arms and include her in their family lifestyle. The banter in this book was absolutely hilarious, I found myself wheezing because I couldn't stop laughing out loud. Like I said before, Beau will make you fall in love with him, he was just a sweet sugary cinnamon roll. The banter between all of the characters was the best part, they all made me laugh with their smart ass remarks towards one another. Despite secrets being kept, the friendships were so precious. I just can't express the love I have for this book, I think it will be a new favorite read in 2024 for me.

Meet Me at Midnight was the perfect hilarious, fun, and easy read. EXACTLY what I was looking for in a Max Monroe book.

Juniper has been crushing on her best friend’s older brother, Beau, since she first met him when she was a young teen. Her sixteen birthday wish was to marry him. However, she made sure to keep her feelings hidden from her best friend, Avery, and lusted and loved from afar. Fresh out of college, she’s the new lowly intern at her bff’s dad’s workplace. When the opportunity presented itself to help Beau, she decided to sneakily message him on the new app called Midnight.

Beau has been trying to climb the cooperate ladder and not be called out for nepotism (unlike his sister, who’s second best friend is her black AMEX card, and her nemesis is work). Him and his rival are pitted head-to-head to create the best campaign for the new dating app called Midnight. However, when he receives a cryptic message ‘Meet me at Midnight’, he was intrigued.

I won’t go to much more into the actual plot, but we read the couple’s story on how they fall in love. I must say, I love Beau’s Midnight pitch at the end.

I enjoy a good brother’s best friend romance. The romance was spicy, the characters were interesting, and the comedy was a great touch. I love how both Juniper and Avery’s characters both owned who there are (Juniper would say how much she sounds crazy being in forever in love and Avery was the quintessential spoiled daddy’s girl and was unapologetic about it). I can’t wait to read Avery’s story.

The book is dual POV, but in different parts. I didn’t think I would enjoy it like that, but it was a pleasant surprise and fun way to read the story.

The first Max Monroe book I read was about a dating app. It’s just fair that I fall in love with yet another book about a dating app.

I will absolutely be recommending this book (and others of Max Monroe).

OK, so I might be a LITTLE biased because I’m obsessed with ‘love is blind”, I currently live in Miami and I did meet my Husband online, but I absolutely love this story.

I didn’t know what is essentially a catfish story could go so well 😂

But seriously, imagine the one that got away, the one you never could get or even the fantasies you’re too scared to share with your partner; and think about being able to play them out on an app, anonymously or not. What could you say, what could you do, if you could be anonymous; who could you be? Brave? Bold? Would you stay quiet?

Sure, it starts out innocently enough, but boyyyyyy it doesn’t stay that way and hallelujah!

Unfortunately for her, Beau only considers her as a “younger sister”. When an opportunity allows her to chat with Beau anonymously via the Midnight app, she takes it! Their chats are funny and soon become blazing hot but will that remain the same once he realises who she is?

Omg, Pride and Prejudice is one of my favourite books too! Juniper is hilarious and I like the way she thinks lol. The first chapter is probably one of the funniest I have ever read in my life! 😹

The ending was just perfect – from Beau’s grand gesture to the lovely family gathering. Indeed, Christmas is the best time to remind ourselves to be grateful for what and who we have with us. Thanks for all the midnights!

I loved the idea behind Meet Me at Midnight! I also loved what may or may not have been intentional references to Taylor Swift songs.

But back to the story.

When June finds out someone is trying to steal ideas from her long time crush she knows she has to warn him. What better way than with the anonymous conversation and dating app their company is trying to brand and represent. It all starts with a simple note to Beau: Meet me at midnight.

I enjoyed the parallels to Cinderella after losing the glass slipper in Beau's hunt for his mystery woman. Max and Monroe handled the situation with Beau and Juniper really well. It could have been awkward and uncomfortable since it was repeatedly made clear Juniper was like a part of their family, but I never felt that weirdness.

I really enjoyed most of the characters. The only character I truly struggled to like or understand was Avery. She's supposed to be so confident and really knowing who she is and what she wants, but for me she just seemed really self absorbed. I'm pretty sure I would notice if my best friend that basically lived with me since we were like 12 had a crush on my older brother. But that's just me. By the end of the book Avery had grown on me and I look forward to reading her story.

The first 40% of the book hooked me then it went meh from there. There was no chemistry or romance, yes there were lots of sneaking around to see each other but it was a lot of telling rather than showing their connection. I wasn’t getting anything from him and I wasn’t convinced that he was into her.

I don’t like how Avery was portrayed, she seemed like an extreme ditz. I’m sure there are people like this irl but she had zero personality besides being spoilt, dumb and being a flake. Boys were always on her mind (perfectly fine) but she didn’t seem like a good friend, she just seemed self absorbed. I understand that she was hurt with the whole thing but she was a shit friend too, so I thought that was sooo hypocritical 🙄

Considering that this was mostly a texting/online relationship, when it all blew up Juniper went M.I.A and decided to not communicate at all 😭 I found this so frustrating and immature

Maybe give this a go if you like the tropes, I did stay and finish it until the end so it still held my interest

This was my first book by Max Monroe and it did not disappoint! Juniper has been in love with her best friend’s older brother Beau since childhood, but has always felt like she was firmly in the “little sister” zone. She ends up getting a job as an intern at the marketing company his family owns that is working on a promotion for an anonymous messaging app called Midnight. Using the app to message with Beau, Juniper is finally able to say some of things she’s always wanted to because of her anonymity and the story builds from there is with a lot of spice and romance. Already can’t wait for the next book in this series!

I love Max Monroe so so much. Everything I read is a 4 if not 5 star! Other than a few (meaning serious), the books are so fun and funny, and light, and just great great books to read at any time! They can write banter like no other! So funny!

We get to meet new people here, Beau and Juniper. Juniper has grown up pretty lonely. She met her best friend, Avery, when they were young, and her family pretty much adopted her right away. Everything June has ever wanted. Her parents are and were always too involved in their own lives to be a part of their daughters. But the one secret she has been keeping from the Banks family, she has been in love with Beau since the day she laid eyes on him. Her best friend’s brother, her second parent’s son. She thought she would take that secret to her grave. But now she is working with Beau and an opportunity arises and she takes it.

Again, so so good! I really am looking forward to reading about more characters. Such great characters and great world building. Thank you Max Monroe for always being an Author I know I can go to and love it!

I loved Meet Me at Midnight so much! I haven't read a ton of the brother's best friend trope but I really enjoyed this one! The whole scenario was unique from the other books that I've read and it was a breath of fresh air! I've only read a handful of Max Monroe books but this has to be my favorite so far! Avery Banks and June have been long-time friends and June has always felt that she is a part of the family. However, Avery is unaware that June has had a crush on her brother, Beau for the past ten years. When June and Avery take on intern jobs at the Banks marketing company, things begin to intensify between June and Beau.
I loved the characters of Beau who does all that he can to protect June, even though at first it appears that it is done in a brotherly manner. He is so charming and caring, that it confuses June. There is plenty of chemistry between this couple as well as when their relationship is still in its infancy and Beau is unaware that he is talking to June in the Midnight app. Added to this, is the sweet friendship between the girls, which makes for some very funny scenes.
