This novella is set six years after the events in Sovereign and acts as an extended epilogue to the book. To grasp the full storyline, it is advisable to read Sovereign before immersing yourself in this novella.
In this narrative, we follow Gerard and Keira's path as parents and delve into the shifts in their relationship dynamics. Gerard's cowboy nature shines brightly, particularly in his touching interactions with young Cash, remaining faithful to his persona.
Gerard's character remains impactful, and I found exploring his and Keira's tale to be truly engaging!

This was a really good, spicy novella that just gave a little insight into life after Sovereign. I really enjoyed the narrators and thought they did a great job with this short piece!
A Sweet and Sizzling Epilogue I Didn’t Know I Needed!
If you’re still swooning from Sovereign, prepare to have your heart stolen all over again with Redbird!
This extended epilogue is like the bonus scene at the end of a romcom that you didn’t know you were missing but now can’t imagine living without.
Set six years after the original story, Redbird gives us an intimate look at Keira and Gerard as they navigate life on Sovereign Mountain Ranch. It’s not just a “where are they now?” update, it’s a heartfelt, high-heat dive into their evolving relationship, their joys, and the challenges of building a family while continuing to heal.
The chemistry between Keira and Gerard is as electric as ever, proving that love doesn’t dim over time, it deepens. Whether it’s tender moments that make you sigh or the sizzling scenes that will have you fanning yourself, this epilogue strikes the perfect balance between sweet and steamy. (Let’s just say the mountain air isn’t the only thing that’s hot up there. 🔥)
Narrators Stefanie Kay and Oliver Clarke bring the story to life beautifully. Their voices capture both the warmth and passion of Keira and Gerard’s journey, making the audiobook feel like a cozy fireside chat with old friends.
Redbird is a love letter to fans of Sovereign, offering closure, warmth, and a reminder that happily-ever-afters are a beautiful work in progress.
If you enjoyed Sovereign you will thoroughly enjoy this novella following Sovereign and Keira 6 years later! I loved getting another glimpse into their lives and see how their dynamic played out after being together and starting a family.
This was a duel narration with Stefanie Kay and Oliver Clarke. I think they both did a good job with the story line. Where they lost me was during the bdsm moments. I felt like the male narrator seemed cocky and arrogant toward the female character where the Dom in the situation is supposed to make the female character confident and empowered. There was an under tone that wasn't the best, but also deter me from the story.
The female narrator did a phenomenal job at her part. She was equally confident in her part and caring toward the young boy. The mmc parts weren't the best but can't fault her for that.
Overall I am giving it a 3.5 star!
Narration for Redbird is great. A nice little update/refresher on Sovereign characters before starting Westin.
Thank you so much to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this ALC. This book was definitely an interesting conclusion to the first book in the series. I highly recommend listening and reading Redbirds after Sovereign. Seeing the life of Gerard and Keira’s life six years later was the happy ending we all were looking for. Expect a lot of nice in this extended epilogue as well!

I loved getting to see I bit into the future with Kierra and Gerard. We get to see them as parents but they still get down and dirty like they did in Sovereign.
Same dynamic duo as the original did this extended epilogue and they did fantastic. Kudos to Stefanie and Oliver!
It was great—I loved seeing more of them together and witnessing how their relationship evolved over time with the challenges of kids and everyday life. What made it even more special was how they managed to keep their unique dynamic intact despite everything. Their growth as a couple felt real and heartwarming, and it was great to see their bond remain strong and playful through it all.
Anything by raya is going to be a banger definitely a 10 before the end! I love everything she writes I’m here for it I hope everyone reads this or listen for your pleasure
