Fun graphic novel that teaches about the most common deadly cats. Fun facts, ways to protect big cats, and an art project are included at the end.
We really enjoyed looking at this book! It is to advanced for my 5 year old to read all at once but he really enjoyed the images and facts in small bursts!
Great book, and I can't wait to check out the Deadliest Spider one! We have lots of interest in Big Cats, and I am sure this book will be a hit with its super illustrations and compelling "who will win" narrative. All kinds of cool cat facts are built in. A little scary for littlest readers, but in a good way (chances are, the cats won't get you!). Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC! Cool book about the world's deadliest cats with a fun storyline. Some of it a little to frightening for young readers. My son enjoyed the pictures and learning more about each cat
This is a MUST read! Just like The Deadliest Spider, this one is engaging, exciting, a little bit scary, and just plain fun. The Deadliest: Big Cat is a fantastic example of how great non-fiction can be. My almost 6 year old absolutely loved this one and did not want to stop reading. The author cleverly designed the book so that you are on the edge of your seat guessing which one will be the winner; this automatically keeps you engaged, guessing, and checking your understanding of what you're reading -- you have to understand the information to guess who the deadliest cat will be. This is absolutely a MUST add to any collection but especially public and elementary libraries. Give this to kids who are looking for thrills but aren't quite ready for horror, animal lovers, non-fiction fans, graphic novel lovers, or fans of this series. Can't recommend enough!
I have become a huge fan of this author’s Deadliest series. Amazing.!!I want them all. I want her to continue to compare animals with a variety of adjectives. The content and writing is engaging and entertaining.
"Wow! That was cool!" words I uttered upon finishing this quick, delightfully illustrated informational book.
Who Would Win books are extremely popular in my library and this would go so well with those and appeal to a lot of the same kiddos.
The fact that this book not only gives us the facts but also shows how big cats are necessary in their ecosystems along with tips on protecting them made this book even more impactful.
Thank you to Net Galley and W.W. Norton & Company for the eARC!
