This is great for getting a closer look at habitats, hunting, and human impact on these beautiful creatures. I like that the book tells how we can help protect these animals. Great graphics too.

I read a lot of children's non-fiction, especially animal-based. This title is unfortunately lacking. They do not explain their reasoning form the animal they choose as the deadliest, and overall, they don't delve enough into each creature they study. Also, the focus on how they could kill the reader and the way it was delivered was unnecessary and potentially scary for younger readers.

THE DEADLIEST: BIG CAT is a fun and factual exploration of the six most lethal big cats in the world. The book introduces the cats and shares information about their predatory practices, culminating in a final Death-o-meter, where the winner is named. The book also provides reasons why they should be protected despite their lethal powers and offers suggestions on how readers can help to do this. With its comic style illustrations and sly humor, this short information filled text will be a hit with elementary readers interested in facts about animals. I think this will be a big hit with my school’s readers!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for sharing an eARC of the book with me.

Another thoroughly engaging and readable book in this series from Eleanor Spicer Rice. My young readers loved same bold, comic-style graphics as her book about deadly spiders - and I was really impressed by the inclusion of the theme to appreciate nature and focus on protecting these species. This is the kind of book that will get checked out over and over again at the library. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance copy. All opinions are entirely my (and my young readers’) own.

The Deadliest series of books are destined to be a popular series similar to the Who Would Win books. The book is well-researched with facts about each kind of big cat, and how deadly they are. Yet it also goes on to explain the need for these animals in our ecosystem and how we as humans can work to preserve their environment and help those that are endangered.

I think anyone who is interested in animals, television shows like the Wild Kratts, and science facts will enjoy these books. I recommend this book for libraries and schools.

Fun graphic novel that teaches about the most common deadly cats. Fun facts, ways to protect big cats, and an art project are included at the end.

We really enjoyed looking at this book! It is to advanced for my 5 year old to read all at once but he really enjoyed the images and facts in small bursts!

Great book, and I can't wait to check out the Deadliest Spider one! We have lots of interest in Big Cats, and I am sure this book will be a hit with its super illustrations and compelling "who will win" narrative. All kinds of cool cat facts are built in. A little scary for littlest readers, but in a good way (chances are, the cats won't get you!). Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC! Cool book about the world's deadliest cats with a fun storyline. Some of it a little to frightening for young readers. My son enjoyed the pictures and learning more about each cat

This is a MUST read! Just like The Deadliest Spider, this one is engaging, exciting, a little bit scary, and just plain fun. The Deadliest: Big Cat is a fantastic example of how great non-fiction can be. My almost 6 year old absolutely loved this one and did not want to stop reading. The author cleverly designed the book so that you are on the edge of your seat guessing which one will be the winner; this automatically keeps you engaged, guessing, and checking your understanding of what you're reading -- you have to understand the information to guess who the deadliest cat will be. This is absolutely a MUST add to any collection but especially public and elementary libraries. Give this to kids who are looking for thrills but aren't quite ready for horror, animal lovers, non-fiction fans, graphic novel lovers, or fans of this series. Can't recommend enough!

I have become a huge fan of this author’s Deadliest series. Amazing.!!I want them all. I want her to continue to compare animals with a variety of adjectives. The content and writing is engaging and entertaining.

"Wow! That was cool!" words I uttered upon finishing this quick, delightfully illustrated informational book.

Who Would Win books are extremely popular in my library and this would go so well with those and appeal to a lot of the same kiddos.

The fact that this book not only gives us the facts but also shows how big cats are necessary in their ecosystems along with tips on protecting them made this book even more impactful.

Thank you to Net Galley and W.W. Norton & Company for the eARC!
