This book has the potential to change how we view chronic pain and illness and give the whole world a new perspective. I've spent the last four years going to countless doctors, physical therapists, acupuncture, massage, functional medicine specialist, pain management centers... and none of them could tell my WHY I was in so much back pain or HOW to get out of it. The mindbody view that pain results from stored trauma and nervous system dysregulation sounded like quackery to me in the beginning, but I am a believer now. While I still have some pain, it's gone from a 9-10 (where I could barely bend over to tie my shoes) to hardly noticeable on a daily basis - with no more pain meds or steroid shots. I have my life back, and it's thanks to Nicole Sachs and others who are practicing a mindbody approach and sharing it with the world. Nicole has written a book that not only explains the science behind the method, but gives you specific directions on how to do the work yourself to get out of pain, and offers real life examples of people who had given up on traditional medicine. If you've been told there's nothing wrong with you or that whatever IS wrong with you isn't curable, read this book with an open mind. It just might change your life.

This book is excellent! I have been following Nicole since May of ’23. I read her first book, The Meaning of Truth, have listened to all her podcasts, watched her YouTube videos, subscribe to her instagram and am an active participant of her Facebook group, JournalspeakwithnicolesachsLCSW. This work has changed my life, and it can change yours too.
As a retired/disabled RN, learning the science behind the process of mind body medicine was very important to me in order to believe in it. As a person with a head injury and adhd, I also need specific instructions and examples to help me know that I am doing things properly. This book, Mind Your Body, gives those perfect instructions, examples, as well as answers and clarifies the questions I had after reading the first book, but needed to look elsewhere for. Although I was able to find those answers in her other resources, this book gives you all the info you need and points you to all the resources you can access for further information. It is easy to read, full of ‘Nicolisms,’ success stories, and so much information. It is witty and smart. If you are ready to get out of chronic pain, illness or anxiety, this is your path.
