I'm not sure why I requested this one to review. Honestly, I've been looking at the cover on my Kindle for a while and have not been the slightest bit intrigued. I guess I thought it was some sort of boring romance (I like romances, I'm just taking a break for the most part).

But I'm on a graphic novel kick, so I decided to give it a go.

And I was immediately intrigued.

We're in a future world. There's artificial intelligence. There's been an uprising, quickly squashed (because this AI is obviously not as coordinated as all the movies I've seen). There are rules in place now about artificial intelligence. No sentience allowed.

But characters have integrated hardware in their minds allowing for controlling everything from their computers, lights, appliances, cars...you name it.

I was captured by the possibilities. That's what Sci-Fi does so awesomely. Captures the possibilities of the future. Good and bad. Each equally intriguing to read about.

So, here we have Alex. Recently out of a relationship, it's his birthday, and his grandma decides he doesn't need to be alone anymore. So she sends him his very own AI, the newest X5.

Unless you're looking for real thoughts, opinions, and ideas.

More and more Alex becomes disappointed by the fact that she doesn't have the ability to make her own choices, her own decisions. He feels protective of her.

So he tries to find out if there's another way. I enjoyed the story a lot. The characterization of Alex, and the possibilities of Ada was great. And the art is perfect. I can't wait to continue!
