This was so good, I'm sorry it took me years to get to it. Romance are definitely not among my favorites, but books like this one could actually change my mind.
The main characters grappled with decisions made in the past and secrets that they kept. The characterization was extremely well done--the author, Jodie Bailey, took the time to truly let the reader feel the emotions of the people in the book. Christianity and belief in prayer were the strong foundation the story was built on; isn't that how it should be with books like this? . The characters relied on prayer throughout. Some Christian books barely dip the tips of their toes in faith, but this one was saturated with it!
While this book was written 8 years ago, it's certainly worth reading now.
The Quilts of Love series has been a great series, and I enjoyed the story of love and redemption surrounding the making of an Irish chain quilt that tells the history of Taryn. I will miss this series, but am glad it was written.

This novella is a page turner with a complex plot and deep characters as Taryn traverses a serious hospitalization for her beloved grandmother, Jemma, her only relative, and reconnects with her high school sweetheart, Justin. All three have long-kept secrets that, when revealed, change the course of their lives. Author Jodie Bailey evokes emotion from the reader with the depth of her characters and the realism of the setting. The genuine characters, light-hearted humor, and sweet Christmas setting make this a must-read!
