I was interested in the idea of this book and in reading a different voice about a country that I know very little about. However, this group of women left me cold. They seemed very self centred and shallow, and I really had to force myself to keep reading. It jumped around a lot, and I could see the point, but it also meant that each story got lost along the way. There were some wonderful observations about life and about America. Sadly, this was not the style of book that I usually enjoy, however, maybe younger readers might appreciate it more. Thanks to NetGalley for a chance to read and review this book.
