This book was definitely out of my comfort zone but the narrator’s were amazing! They all complimented each other so well. I thought the book was really great and I loved that each character had their own self discovery. The spice is definitely spicy so make sure you check the trigger warnings before you read it!

If you are looking for a book with complex characters, world building, major conflict issues and/or resolve, Axes and O’s by Kayla Grosse is not the one for you. With that being said, it is an incredibly fun read to snuggle up with by the fire and a glass of mulled wine in hand.
Nathan Clark is stuck. Stuck in a job he doesn’t like with a boss he hates. Stuck feeling like something is always absent in his relationships. Stuck feeling like he doesn’t know where he belongs. When he gets stranded in a snow storm, on his way to visit his family for the holidays, he doesn’t realize it’s about to lead him down a path of self discovery. When he is rescued by the married “lumbersnacks”, he begins to question not only the person he’s always believed he should be but how and who he should love. Could he possibly find everything he’s been missing with Fox and Morgan in their remote cabin?
Axes & O’s is a spicy MMF standalone which touches on the topic of sexuality (which was done well in my opinion) and if you’re an audiobook girlie like me, then I’ve got two words for you - Fox Malone 🥵. Overall, I would recommend this for anyone who wants a quick and steamy read!

If you're looking for a spicy holiday read that is heavy on the smut and lighter on the plot, look no further than Axes and O's by Kayla Grosse.
Tropes & micro-tropes:
- MMF (poly) romance
- Bi awakening
- holiday romance
- stranded in a snowstorm/snowed in
- high school sweethearts + strangers to lovers
- insta-love
- PTSD rep
- he's *pierced*
- grumpy x sunshine
- dom/sub/switch
- primal play
Considering they are essentially stuck in a cabin for most of the book, there is still a lot going on here. And while there is not a lot of what one might consider a traditional plot, relationship building can be plot too.
The most character development comes from Nathan. He just walked out of his shitty corporate job so he could try to make it to his sister's house in a small mountain town in time for Christmas. Along the way he gets stuck in a snowstorm and is about to succumb to hypothermia when Fox and Morgan rescue him and bring them to their cabin in the woods.
The connection develops very quickly once Nathan wakes up. He "accidentally" sees his rescuers doing the deed and finds he's not only attracted to the woman. This leads to his bi-awakening. While Morgan and Fox are well acquainted with kink and polyamory, they are opening up a whole new world to Nathan.
Things happen fast. Like in a matter of days fast. And while Nathan always yearned for more while not knowing what that more is, he is very quick to accept his new sexual identity and begin exploring with this random married couple in the woods.
Morgan is a fairly well developed character, so we don't get much growth from her other than she's nervous to bring Nathan into the fold after her and Fox's previous partner broke her heart. She moves on from this fairly quickly at Fox's suggestion.
Fox is an ex-marine. He has strong instincts and high walls. His walls are part of the reason the relationship with his and Morgan's previous partner didn't work out. He finds himself opening up to Nathan a little bit about his PTSD.
The narration was fantastic. I always appreciate when there is a different narrator for each character in why choose/poly romances. This significantly helps me in tracking POVs when I'm listening to audiobooks. Grayson Owens and Stella Hunter were wonderful as always to listen to. Sometimes, I struggle with Stephen Dexter's cadence and inflection (which sucks because he has this beautiful deep voice), but I actually really enjoyed his performance in this one! Overall, really enjoyed the audio and a great listen if you're looking for something not too deep and nice and spicy.
Thank you to Dreamscape Select, NetGalley and Kayla Grosse for the advanced copy audiobook!

think I had a smile on my face the entire time. I loudly cackled way too many times. The plot, the banter, the spice, the narrators, the everything 🤌🏽💋
The audio of this book has got to me THE BEST I have ever heard.

I randomly came across this book and it was a first for me with this author and definitely won't be the last!
This snowed in, mmf, holiday read was a cozy and spicy and everything nice & naughty! The main couple, Morgan & Fox, came across Nathan after he was involved in a car accident. What comes next is fast but flows well for this throuple. I definitely enjoyed it!
I was provided an audio copy to review and loved the combo of Stella Hunter, Stephen Dexter & Grayson Owens. The male narrators were very different in tone so it was easy to tell which character was being read.

This narration is amazing!!! They really nail getting these scenes. it’s emotion and spicy and just all the goodness!!
Grayson Owens as Nathan Clark.
Stella Hunter as Morgan Malone.
Stephen Dexter as Fox Malone.
I am not sure there is a better pick for narrators than these folks. They did an amazing job embodying what I felt and envisioned reading/listening to this book!
I had all the feels as I listened to them tell the story!! What an amazing crew of narrators!!
Plot:
Nathan is trying to get to his family Christmas. He ends up in a ditch and is saved by Fox and Morgan. Fox and Morgan live an adventurous life as a married couple. When Nathan wanders toward their room because he hears a noise he gets way more than he bargained for; or is it just what he always needed?

3.5 stars. This was not my typical romance read. There really was very little plot, but the character development was decent. The relationship developed at an unrealistic pace in my opinion, but maybe for this style of romance it is more typical? I would check out more by this author in the future.

This is a MMF holiday romance. Buckle up and get ready for some hot sexy fun at Christmas time. This book is sweet and spicy. Fox and Morgan have been together for over twenty years and had another partner in their relationship at one point. Nathan is going to his sister’s house for Christmas when his car crashes. He is rescued by Fox and Morgan and stays with them for a while due to severe weather. I highly recommend listening to this fantastic audiobook. The narration by Stella Hunter, Stephen Dexter and Grayson Owens was absolutely spectacular. They really brought this story to life.

Thank you NetGalley for this audiobook ARC.
This story follows Nathan Clark , Fox and his wife Morgan.
Nathan crashes his car after driving to his sister cabin for Christmas but neds up in a snowstorm. Lucky for Nathan, Morgan and her husband Fox find in out in the snow near death , as they were in the woods for their Christmas tradition.
Nathan wakes up in a strange cabin and walks in on his hosts having some alone time - which he can't seem to stop watching.
After being told that he is stuck with this couple for the next few days as they are snowed in.
These three start getting very intimate with each and Nathan learns a lot about himself, but can they survive in the real world once they are no longer snowed in.
This is a short and spicy holiday romance MMF , with a bisexual awakening. The narrator brought these characters to life and would highly recommend.

This was a fun, kinky, sexy, MMF holiday read! This book had me from the dedication: "This book is dedicated to anyone who has ever looked at a person in flannel holding an ax and said, 'Yeah, I'd let them split me in half.'" Loved it!
The narration for the audio was done very well, as well. A different narrator voices each chapter depending on whose POV it is. They all did a really great job, but the female (Stella Hunter) was probably the best! She even did a nice, sexy, low voice for the male characters when she voiced them. Bravo!
I received an audio ARC of this audiobook from the publisher in exchange for an honest review via NetGalley.

A HOT holiday romance that will have you wanting to form a thruple.
The smut is the plot - and you'll love every minute of it.
I love the set up of this book, a corporate guy who's overworked and just wants to get through this snowstorm to see his sister and her daughter for Christmas crashes and is rescued by a married couple.
The roads are closed due to snow. Oh no! He's going to have to stay with this super kinky, poly couple open to a third, for Christmas. What's a guy to do? Get in the sauna with them, of course.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the AMAZING narration by Grayson Owens, Stella Hunter and Stephen Dexter. I love the decision to have three distinct voices for each of these characters, because it brought me fully into the book. It's not duet, which I didn't mind at all, because all of these narrators are so talented.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape for the ALC.
This book is best read at the side of the road in a snowstorm, waiting for your poly couple to find you.

this audiobook was outstanding! i already went into this knowing i loved the book and anything kayla grosse writes. i also knew i loved stella hunter and grayson owens whenever i’ve heard them narrate. that being said, clearly no one involved disappointed. grayson truly outdid himself. everything was so deliciously dirty. this was my first stephen dexter and it was incredible! fox was a an amazing character and he did a perfect job bringing him to life. stella was an incredible morgan! morgan is definitely top tier for kayla grosse fmc’s and stella brought her to life perfectly.
the entire book was chefs kiss perfection.

Thank you Netgalley dreamsxape select ans the author for the alc and e-arc. My opinions are being left voluntarily. The most perfect narration. I'm a huge fan of Kaylas writing. The steam always hits just the right way.... many times whewwwwww 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
I loved the plot, the side characters and the setting. This would be amazing adapted on @passionflix along with her other books which are addictive.
Suggest giving it a try

Axes and O’s was great! I really enjoy Kayla Grosse’s books. This was super spicy and fun and a great use of the snowed in together trope. Definitely would recommend it.

I absolutely loved this audiobook!
Not only did the narrators do an incredible job immersing me into the story, but I thought this was really well written. There was so much heart and vulnerability and I'm so happy this was the first romance I read that had a polyamorous couple.
10/10 smut

I don't have a lot to say, there is no plot in this book it's just spice so if you wan't that, that book is for you. But it wasn't for me, I need to have more context on the characters and a plot to the story. The narrator did a good job thought, it really help.

Nathan's Christmas homecoming takes a nosedive into disaster when he crashes his car after a day from the depths of work hell. Getting snowed in with a bunch of strangers is one thing, but what if there's a little spark flying between them? Talk about a holiday plot twist!
Enter Fox and Morgan, the adventurous husband-and-wife logging team cozying up in their mountain cabin. They find Nathan utterly fascinating and have some intriguing plans to shake things up!
Oh, and don't miss the audiobook magic! With the enchanting voices of Grayson Owens, Stella Hunter, and Stephen Dexter, it's like being whisked away on a whimsical adventure with each and every word!
Things to know
Polyamory, fisting, toy play, oral, BDSM, anal, DP, primal, rough sex, mentions of the foster care system, discussions of sexuality, mentions of parent death, and mentions of PTSD from one character's time in the military, humiliation, degradation, strong language, sword crossing, plus size rep, snowed in

Nathan goes with the flow and is a pleaser by nature. But he hates his job and something is missing. So when his boss keeps him late before the office closes for Christmas, he loses it and quits. He is now late heading up to his sister's place for Christmas and is in a snow storm when his chains on his car break, making it undriveable. While investigating, he passes out in the snow. When he wakes up, he is in a warm bed and naked. And there are noises coming from down the hall.... Enter Fox and Morgan, a married couple who are pretty sexually adventurous. Nathan finds himself attracted to both of them- he's never felt an inkling of attraction for a man before. Are they what is missing?
I enjoyed this spicy romance that went a bit deeper. It dealt with feelings of guilt, shame, and acceptance. I liked the way they all fit together and made each other whole. So while it is quite explicit, it was also sweet.
Grayson Owens, Stella Hunter, Stephen Dexter narrate. All did a great job.
I received an advance audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun, VERY spicy MMF holiday poly romance that sees one man snowed in with a married couple and invited to participate in their bedroom games. While there's definitely some hot scenes involving role play, toys and light BDSM, the book also touches on more serious topics like bi-awakening and PTSD related to military service. Good on audio and perfect for fans of books like Puck shy, Three hearts hideaway by Luna Day or Happenstance by Tessa Bailey. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

I had read this book before listening to the audiobook version of this story. Axes & O's was definitely a fun and hot read! Fox, Morgan and Nathan have such a hot chemistry together. I love Fox's dominant side, Morgan's switch tendencies and Nathan's self discovery journey. Loved the spicy scenes just as much as the emotional connection between all 3 characters. If you are looking for a plot heavy book, this may not be it, but if you are looking for a fun, spicy, kinky read then you've come to the right place. That being said the audiobook version... OMG made it even better. Greyson Owens and Stella Hunter's narration was great, but Stephen Dexter... just WOW!!! Made me melt into a puddle! I one thousand percent recommend getting the audiobook version of this story, definitely takes the story to another level.
