VIZ Media provided an early galley for review.
I have enjoyed the first two volumes of Trillion Game, so continuing the story with the next eight chapters was something I was very ready for.
This story continues to be a lot of fun, but it also has a solid foundation with the inner workings of business and technology enterprises. It builds while adding new and dynamic members to the cast of characters. As the cover of this collection implies, we get more details about the character of Kedoin, the venture capitalist. And, as with previous volumes, this one ends on a big cliffhanger that will keep readers coming back for volume 4.
I did notice that there were spots, especially the opening pages, where the linework and inks were a bit heavier than I previously recalled. It seemed to balance out as the story continued. Still, the artwork remains top notch with a very strong sense of style and fashion. The backgrounds and decor perfectly fit each scene as well. The art serves the story very well, even in pages where there are sequences with no dialogue; the images move everything along much like a visual montage in a movie or TV show.
In the end, I am still engaged with this story and look forward to more.
