Thank you @NetGalley and @ DreamscapeMedia for the ARC. This is the second book in the Fae Flings and Corset Strings series and I loved it. This book focuses on Daphne and Monty from the first book. Daphne wants to be a book cover illustrator and needs her friend Monty to pose for her to get the true human body form. Monty needs a muse to finish writing his dating book. Both have chemistry but Monty can not fall in love or tell anyone why or his secret will destroy his family. The banter is so much fun and the spice is perfect. Can not wait for book 3.

Tessonja Odette is KILLING IT with this series, its making me want to go back and read everything else she's ever written!

This installment is a friends-to-lovers, forced proximity tale between a painter and a matchmaking romantic, and I absolutely ate it up. These characters are just as lovely and lovable as the first duo, the humor had me laughing out loud, and the spice AND the romance were top notch. This really strikes my absolute perfect balance between Romantasy, cozy fantasy, and spicy romance (that I think I've been looking for for a long while but never quite found). I especially love that these two are very obviously imperfect, but their chemistry and flaws bring them together in a way that just makes sense, even if it isa bit messy (and feral, some might say). When they finally do some together and lay everything on the table for one another, I was swooning and sighing and falling in love with them both all over again.

Also, the narrators for this audio arc were PHENOMENAl, they captured both characters beautifully and had every waking moment of my attention. Thank you so much to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this audiobook arc, I can't wait for what comes next in the series!

The story follows a fae shifter artist named Daphne and Monty Phillips, a romance columnist. Daphne is in search of a model/muse and Monty, her former coworker, turns out to be just that person. Monty also needs help with a project to get his new book approved and they decide to ‘kill two birds with one stone’.

This book was definitely not what I was expecting, but I enjoyed it just the same. It was very much a cozy fantasy romcom with fae bargains and was a lot of fun to read. I enjoyed the story every step of the way and it was well-written. I would recommend this book to others and plan to read the other stand-alones in this ‘Fae Flings and Corset Strings’ series.

Thank you to NetGalley, Tessonja Odette, and DreamScape Media for making it possible for me to listen to the ARC of this audiobook.

Audiobook Narrators: Clear and easy to understand even with their accents.

Tropes:
-Friends to Lovers
-Teach Me
-Slow Burn
-RomCom

Just like book 1 in this series I don’t feel like I have the words to capture how absolutely fantastic this story was. The tone was similar to the first book in that it was hilarious and full of heart. I found both characters so compelling and was very invested in their stories. I felt for them so much and adored both of the growth arcs that they went on. The happy ending felt perfectly designed for who these characters are (rather than what was socially expected for a happy ending) so that made the ending even more satisfying than it might have otherwise been. I swooned, I laughed, I ran immediately to the author's DMs to gush because this is definitely one of my favorite reads of the year. I am so excited to read her backlist now because I have most definitely found a new favorite author!
I loved the accents that both narrators used. Their performances helped me escape into this delightful fantasy world. I'm so excited to return with book 3!

Another whimsical romance in the Fae Flings and Corset Strings series. I'm so glad we got Daphne and Monty's story. Its fun, emotionally frought, and very, very sexy. I love Daphne's character and was surprised at how well Odette was able to develop Monty's character from the playboy image we got in the first book. The world building and coziness are excellent, as well as the narration.

The accents! Oh my god! Being back in this cozy world is like a warm hug.

It’s first person, dual POV (and dual narrated). Daphne has been commissioned to design artwork for a bestseller’s romance novels. She’s a fae, and needs a model for her sketches. Monty is an advice columnist who needs a test subject to prove his matchmaking techniques are good. The two worked together on a book tour (in book 1) and the tension was strong. I’ve been waiting for their story!

I gasped when the approval for this early copy came through. I loved the first book and had been looking forward to this one all year. Went into it blind.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for my advanced audio copy!

This isn’t my first rodeo reading books by Tessonja nor is it my last. This is my first time listening to one of her books. And let me say “My Feral Romance” is now my new favorite. The narrators were absolute perfection and truly encapsulated both characters.

Heads up though friends this is a second book in a series. It can be read as a stand alone. However I highly recommend reading the first book in the Far Flings and Corset Strings series first.

I LOVED this sequel. And it will go down as one of my all time favorites by Tessonja. I fell in love with Daphne & Monty in a Rivalry of Hearts and I knew their story would not disappoint. Thankfully this book is told in dual POV so we get to see the inner workings of both Daphne & Monty. Seeing these two friends become lovers was so charming. They have such a beautiful and healthy relationship. I wish all fictional fantasy couples had relationships like there’s. Plus the banter between these two was “chefs kiss” 💋

The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 was because I found some of the inner turmoil to be repetitive. The amount of times I screamed in my car for Monty to get it together probably made me look like a crazy person. But even with that I can’t stress enough how much I loved this book and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Finally big Thank you to Dreamscape Media & Tessonja Odette for giving me this audiobook eARC in exchange for my honest review

Story: 5 ⭐
Spice: 2🌶️ The freaking slowest burn of your life. I thought I would die from the tension.
Narration: 4 ⭐ dual narrative featuring Dani Cochrane and Rusty Mewha.

This was such a fun listen. Both narrators had the aristocratic accent that fit in really well with this time period.

When meeting Daphne and Monte in book 1 of Fae Flings and Corsette Strings, I knew they would be the next couple, and I was so excited to start reading. This is considered an interconnected standalone, but I would highly recommend reading book 1 to get a good backstory.

This was amazing. I was invested and probably smiling like an utter fool while reading. Completely obsessed with foot kicking and giggling.

If you like a good historical romantasy (think Bridgerton meets a fae world) with a slow burn, friends to lovers, tragic secrets and learning confidence, scratch my back and I'll scratch your vibes with a happily ever after. Then pick this up!

The Fae Flings and Corset Strings series is a new favorite!

It’s a perfect blend of regency era historical fiction + fae and fantasy + feminist and modern themes, all packed into an adorable package alongside, in depth characters, romance with tons of tension and banter, with just the right amount of the BEST spice I have ever read, great prose, fantastic relationships, and relatable struggles.

I’m officially obsessed and ready to work my way through Tessonja Odette’s entire backlist!

What’s to love…
- tension and banter is top tier
- lovable MCs that need help learning to love themselves!
- dating lessons
- bookish book (FMC illustrates romance book covers and the MC writes a sex/dating column)
- interconnected standalone (absolutely can be read out of order!)
- FMC that feels neurodivergent coded (I loved seeing myself in her!)
- excellent prose and world-building
- friends to lovers (my fav!)
- slow burn

What some might not love..
- honestly there isn’t much I don’t love about this…
- I don’t really care for the male narrator - but that’s a personal preference.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

🌶️ 2 explicit scenes, but plenty of tension and not shy about sexual comments and language.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Audio for sending this book (ALC) for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

This series just gets better and better! Daphne and Monty sizzle in this second chance, friends-to-lovers fae fantasy romance. There is so much standing in the way of an HEA for these star-crossed lovers - family secrets, book deadlines, loans, past wrongs and a forced engagement. How will they ever surmount them all and admit their feelings for each other?

Monty has just re-met the woman of his dreams just when he's least ready for her. He needs to find a willing guinea pig to test his new relationship advice for his publisher in order to get his advance on his new book in order to pay his thuggish creditors. He's got family secrets to protect and lots of reasons to avoid a serious relationship.

Daphne is adjusting to life in her seelie form, the human world and society's expectations. She needs a friend, she needs to work on her social skills and she needs a willing male model to work on her romance illustrations. The last thing she needs is to let the man who broke her heart back into her life - but it turns out they might be the perfect answers to each other's problems.

Read in tandem by both a male and female narrators this is a delightful and dirty audiobook. Rom-Com Romantasy at its best. Both did excellent jobs voice acting.

The tone of this book just didn't work for me. I did like the narrator, and the premise is really great. It will definitely be for a lot of people, but it grated at me in a bad way.

Tessonja Odette has delivered yet another enchanting gem in My Feral Romance! This second book in the Fae Flings and Corset Strings series masterfully blends humor, heart, and a touch of spice in a cozy fantasy world I couldn’t get enough of.

Daphne, the sweet and socially awkward fae from the first book, truly shines here as she struggles to balance her artistic dreams with her insecurities. Her journey toward self-discovery and confidence was as captivating as her budding romance with Monty. And oh, Monty—his sharp wit and emotional depth made him a perfect foil for Daphne. His reasons for avoiding love are heartfelt and reasonable, adding layers to his character and making their relationship even more compelling.

I loved how this story wasn’t just about romance but also about personal growth and healing. Watching Daphne find her way in life and Monty confront his past was both touching and inspiring. Their sizzling chemistry, playful banter, and undeniable connection made every scene between them a delight.

I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next installment in this series! Highly recommend for fans of cozy, magical romances that leave you smiling long after the last page.

This series is such a vibe and I’m loving it. This one was absolutely swoony and coming from me it’s a lot because I don’t usually like the friends-to-lovers trope to be honest but this was perfection.

The historical romance set-up always makes my heart happy, but mixed with this world of fantasy, it’s just the best and instantly sucks you in. Both protagonists were so great and easy to love. Even though this one can definitely be read as a standalone, it was absolutely wonderful to have seen them in the first book and now get more of them, helping understand them better and see them evolve through this story.

They had the cutest friendship and I loved seeing a bit of jealousy and worry about the other slowly starting to show even though they were set on not having feelings for one another. Their interactions were always full of banter and could go from funny to sweet and then hot in seconds!

Loved getting to know funny Araminta too, and I am definitely intrigued by that epilogue... will be waiting for that next book!

Honestly, this is a book to pick up if you want a good time, no worries, just enjoy reading with wonderful characters!

Thanks so much to Dreamscape Media for the ALC. All opinions are my own.

Listened to the audio…thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape!

Loved this! I was worried I wouldn’t like it as much since I really enjoyed the first one but I was happily surprised. It took a second for me to remember who the characters were because I had read the other book a while ago. I ended up loving Daphne and Monty. It really did give some Bridgerton vibes with talking about courting and needing escorts. I hope there are more in this series ❤️

I read the prior book in this series, and knew I had to dive into this book when it came out! I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, as Daphne and Monty weren’t my favorite characters from the previous book, but I trusted the author to keep me engaged. And that she did! I loved learning more about these characters and watching their growth and relationship.
I loved the quality of the audiobook as well. I think more of a duet would have been nice, because listening to the narrators try to speak for the opposite sex is always a bit cringe. Overall, it didn’t detract from my love for the book. This author is an auto-read for me now!

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the alc.

I've read and loved Tessonja's Entangled with Fae series, so I decided to give this one a shot. Even though I haven’t read book one, I went for this ALC since they’re interconnected standalones.

The storytelling was delightful, and the narrators did a great job—mostly. I enjoyed the world-building, and the characters were absolute sweethearts. Daphne and Monty were the cutest—a pair of clueless idiots too blind to realize they were in love.

That said, I think I’m in the minority for not liking the booksprite; she just came across as really annoying to me.

Overall, I absolutely loved this fantasy romcom and the ending. It was such a fun read!

A really fun read (or listen)!

I have had the luxury of both arc reading and arc listening this book.

I enjoyed it both time, and since there is less than one month separating those two events, it's a highly rereadable book. Just like the first one.

While it's the second book in a series it's also a standalone and can be easily read on its own.
The characters are fun and fleshed out, there is some spice with a small dose of kink (very small, smaller than I expected from the author promotionals posts).

It's a lighthearted read, small on the romantic drama (no miscomunication, but some secrets), but filled with longing (especially from the MMC, which i always enjoy). It's a friend to lovers with a "I will help you find a husband" plot. It's also a dual POV, with alternating chapter in the FMC or MCC POV, in the first person.

The only reason it's a 4 stars is that i saw the plot twist come from a miles away. Since its a romance based book it's not a huge problem, but there were also a few sentence repetition. Since I read/listened to it in just 2-3 days, I very easily spotted those repetition, which took the form of one or two sentences repeated almost word for word across the book, and that's something that always annoy me and pull me out of the story.

As for the narrator, it's a dual narration. Each chapter is read by the corresponding narrator. Both did an awesome job of bringing the character to life but I was mostly impressed by the woman, who really brought their emotion to life.

I listened to about 20% of this book before pausing to listen to the first in this series (A Rivalry of Hearts). I was already so invested in the characters, the witty banter, the romantic mystery so I knew I was hooked but I could not get past the many references to the couples interactions in the previous book. Good news for me though, the first book was also hilarious, spicy, and a joy to listen to. While not strictly necessary, I would absolutely recommend reading this series in order for optimal enjoyment.

This book is centered on the will they/won’t they relationship between Monty, a rake and a rascal, born into and disowned by a prominent family, and Daphne, a socially awkward 300+ year old shapeshifting fae who’s primary form was a pine marten in the previous book. Yes, it’s strange.. but it’s also heartwarming, a tiny bit violent, and quite spicy. Please read, and let me know if you do so we can discuss.

Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for this audiobook for review purposes.

My Feral Romance was a truly delightful spicy romance that I didn't know I needed. The push and pull between Monty and Daphne was perfect. Even if you haven't read A Rival of Hearts, the first book in Tessonja Odette's Fae Flings and Corset Strings series, you will be enchanted by these unconventional and loveable creatures.
