10 stars. I love Monty, I love Daphne. I was giggling and kicking my feet over their story. I LOVE them.

A standalone story in an interconnected series, this book takes place in a regency world with fae shifters, hybrids and humans.
Daphne is a pine marten trying to make it in the human world as an illustrator. Monte is a rake with many secrets. I loved these two characters - the awkward introvert with a feral streak and the rake with a hidden heart - and the tension and chemistry between them.
Although this is my first book by this author, I look forward to catching up on others.
This audiobook is dual narration and I especially liked the narrator for Daphne’s portions.
Thank you Dreamscape Media for providing this audiobook for review consideration via NetGalley.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this audiobook.
I’ve been excited to read this since I finished the previous book in the series and it did not disappoint. The narration was excellent.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape media for the audiobook arc of "My Feral Romance"
I already loved the first book in the Fae Flings and Corset Strings series, but the second instalment was even better. I loved Daphne from the first book and getting to explore Monty's character in depth was a joy. The relationship development was very slow paced which kept me on my toes. The narration was stellar as well.

I did not finish this title. I reached 30% before coming to terms with the fact that it's not for me. The characters are likeable, but the awkwardness was over the top for me. Book one was more enjoyable for me. The narrators were excellent and well cast for this book. I think enjoying their performance was the main reason I made it as far as I did.

Thank you to NetGalley, Tessonja Odette, and Dreamscape Media for allowing me access to the audiobook.
The audiobook was 5 stars. I thought it was very well done. I would highly recommend it.

I loved their story but I think I wanted more scenes with them slowly falling in love. It wasn’t an insta love by any means. I just wanted to get to know the characters even more. Daphne is such a strong and quirky FMC. I just loved how blunt and funny her character was. She reminds me a little bit of Theodora from Half a Soul. The friendship between Daphne and Araminta was such a fun and realistic dynamic. I can’t wait to read the next standalone in the series.
I would highly recommend it!
✨ Friends to lovers
✨ Regency vibes
✨ Strong and Quirky FMC

Thank you Tessonja Odette, Netgalley, and Dreams cape Media for the ARC Audio of this book.
Daphne is an artist, looking for a model to draw, and also looking for a way out of a handfasting marriage. Monty is a self-proclaimed matchmaker, and he needs a subject to test his theories on. When Daphne and Monty strike an arrangement to help each other out, they quickly embark on rekindling their old friendship and blurring the lines that were clearly drawn.
This is a fun book that is akin to a fae romance mixed with Bridgerton vibes. I enjoyed the flirty banter between Daphne and Monty, and the tension that grew as well. When I started this, I for some reason didn't realize it was book 2 in a series. However, that doesn't affect how much I enjoyed this book. If you want a light hearted, fae/shifter romance with no triggers, and a couple spicy scenes, then look no further.

This book was the perfect continuation of the Fae Flings and Corset Strings series. I loved Daphne from the last book so I was so excited to learn she would be the star of book 2. The hijinx, the banter, THE MIRROR SCENE, the new friends. All of it was so amazing!

I absolutely loved Daphne and Monty's book!!! I loved them in A Rivalry Of Hearts and was super excited for their book. I loved that it tied more into A Dream So Wicked as well. The audio for this was spectacular as well. Loved the duet narrators.

This one is about Daphne, the lovable, reserved, and slightly feral pine martin shifter fae who helped Edwina on her book tour in A Rivalry of Hearts (one of my favourite reads this year). Daphne is now a book illustrator with one small problem: she can’t draw men. She needs a subject to help her get it right! Enter Monty, the rakish, cigarillo-smoking matchmaking playboy with a heart of gold, and Daphne’s friend. Or is he? At the beginning of this book, Monty has dismissed Daphne without a thought, and she has spent quite some time wondering if they were ever friends. But Monty needs a test case for the book that he is working on, so the two strike a bargain. Monty will model for Daphne, and Daphne will allow Monty to make her a romantic match. As the two get re-acquainted, Daphne comes to realize that Monty’s aloofness springs from a veritable cornucopia of secrets… Will their flirting lessons lead to more? Can they have more?
Well, this book was just as amazing as I wanted it to be! I love this series because it hits the exact right balance for me between cozy and spicy. The romance and chemistry is off-the-charts, and the build-up is slow enough to be believable but fast enough that we get the crumbs of spice before the tension breaks into full-on fireworks. The characters are just so gone for each other before they even know it. And I adore how the aspects of themselves that they are most self-conscious about is what makes them perfect for each other. Devoured this one in a day, and I’m just frothing at the mouth for the next one!!
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the AudioARC as I am obsessed with the audiobooks in this series!! The narrators did an incredible job (this one is a dual narration). The narration was easy to follow, and there was no distortion when sped up. I was able to listen at 1.5x and 1.75x speed comfortably (my usual is 1.5x). The narrator for the FMC especially had some very entertaining voices for the side characters, she had me in stitches!

Holy smokes have I been sleeping on Tessonja Odette. I listened to the audiobook for My Feral Romance and I LOVED IT!!!! HOW is this my first book by this author?!? Brb, going to read the rest of her work now.
Daphne and Monty have my whole heart and I would do anything for them. The plot is so good, the characters are well developed and I genuinely care for them, the romance is genuine, the pacing is perfect, and the spice is excellent. As someone that enjoys some well-timed, believable spice, I really liked how Tessonja sprinkled it in. It was the perfect amount, in my opinion! I laughed out loud a few times while listening, the comedic timing was always excellent. And felt very authentic to the story and characters.
This book is so well-written. The narrators Dani Cochrane and Rusty Mewha took an amazing book and added another layer of magic. They used the tools at their disposal (tones, laughs, muffled, etc.) to really bring the characters and story to life. I loved the dual narrators for dual POV. And the quality was excellent!
I absolutely LOVED this audiobook and will 100000% beg my friends to listen to this masterpiece, as well!!!
Thanks to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and the author Tessonja Odette for the ALC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
My Feral Romance releases December 10th 2024!

Ever since reading A Rivalry Of Hearts, My Feral Romance has been my most anticipated read! While this book was quite different than the last, it still felt familiar in many ways. There’s something magical and comforting about Faerwyvae that makes it so easy for the world around you to fall away and to immerse yourself in the story.
The amount of slow burn longing and tension Odette wrote between these two was tearing me apart, but I grinned and kicked my feet at every crumb she offered! Her books always make you feel the emotions of the characters so intensely.
Daphne is the same standoffish spitfire, but we gain understanding as to why she behaves the way she does. Her struggle to understand social cues was surprisingly relatable and I have a lot of love for her character.
Monty was the charming quick witted man we remember from A Rivalry Of Hearts, but with so much more depth to him than before. Underneath the facade he presents to the world, Monty is a sweetheart and a tortured hero.
This is one of my favourite series, and Tessonja Odette has become a must buy author for me! I can’t wait to go back and read more of her backlist while I wait for book 3 in the Fae Flings And Corset Strings series! Starting with the book Monty previously appeared in!
🎧Audio Review🎧: Once again Dani Cochrane and Rusty Mewha brought both characters to life beautifully, bravo to both of them I’ll definitely be listening again and again! **Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the ALC**

I loved Daphne and Monty in "A Rivalry of Hearts" and I loved them even more in "My Feral Romance." The pair have great chemistry and hilarious banter, and it is so fun to join them on their journey from sort of friends to lovers, as they undertake a bargain (didn't they learn?), embark on travels, and do their best to keep their various secrets secret.
While on the surface this book is light fantasy fun, Odette does a great job weaving in tougher themes like acceptance of both self and others, learning to be vulnerable, and the benefit of sharing burdens because there just might be someone to help you through.. Odette also writes excellent character growth arcs. Both Monty and Daphne grow tremendously in this book, both as individuals and as a couple. This book felt like a warm hug.
I did listen to the audiobook of this title and must give all the props to the narrators - both were wonderful. I love a good dual narration and this one is definitely that. I highly recommend!
5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary copy of this book. There opinions are my own.

I enjoyed the world in A Rivalry Of Hearts, but I fell in love with it listening to My Feral Romance. Listening to the audio I was delighted to hear Dani Cochrane and Rusty Mewha narrating. They brought to life these unique characters in a charming way.
Daphne is in need a model and an attachment so she doesn't have to go back to her home village and live full time in her pine marten form. Monty needs to prove that he can successfully play match maker so that he can get his book published, all while holding onto a life altering secret. They strike up a bargain to help each other and the dramatic ensue! Learning more about such a unique Seelie Fae was fascinating and so fun to read about. I can't wait to see what shenanigans are in store for book 3!

Monty and Daphne were a DREAM!!!!!
I absolutely love anything Tessonja Odette and this book is no exception. The longing, the angst, the character development! This book was a wonderful story with heart and spice! The audiobook narrators did an incredible job of bringing the characters to life.
And the mirror scene... OMGGGGGGGGGGG

"My Feral Romance" by Tessonja Odette is a charming, yet spicy, romantasy novel set in the Victorian era England. The story follows Daphne, a young fae who presents in her human form but was born a pine marten, and Monty, Daphne's charismatic ex-coworker who has been disinherited of his wealthy family.
Daphne and Monty worked together for a book tour and became quite close. At least, that's what Daphne thought. Monty having been fired, left with a condescending goodbye and the two haven't spoke in over a year. When Monty's work brings him back to the publishing company to get his book published, he seeks Daphne out to fix their friendship. He discovers she is trying to become lead illustrator but needs a male model and he needs a case study for his book to be published. While they help each other in their current work projects but they notice their friendship may be turning into something more... But not something Monty can have.
Odette's writing is vivid and immersive. The characters have depth and are rich with emotions while the romance between Daphne and Monty is wholesome and passionate. The book explores themes of identity, belonging and self-acceptance. While it is fantasy, it focuses more on the romance and has several explicit sexual descriptions.
Overall, "My Feral Romance" is a compelling and entertaining read that will appeal to fans of romantasy and smut. I would recommend this book to those looking for mild smut with an uplifting ending. If choosing the audiobook, which I did, the narrators were great! The voice actor for Monty didn't match the voice which I envisioned him to have, but he was still great and it was was very entertaining to hear him swear.

I didn't know this would be a fantasy romance until after I started but it was interesting to read and I lliked the two leads.

Wow-Tessonja Odette upped the ante with the longing and angst from A Rivalry of Hearts in the newest release My Feral Romance (out December 10). This book is dual POV and has some of the best tropes you love from the romance world, the historical romance feel, and the magical world of Fae to really suck you in. The narration on the audiobook is excellent with both narrators thoroughly embodying their characters. Both protagonists feel genuine, charming and flawed and the story never feels like it’s dragging at any point. This series has two interconnected novels, and it is not necessary to have read the first before reading this one (although I’d recommend it for the experience and watching the characters grow, plus minor spoilers for book 1). I so enjoyed this series and can’t wait for more books from this author! Grateful to Dreamscape media for this ALC.

I wanted to love this but I was not my favorite at all. I was really hopefully but it was a bit disappointing.

Tessonja has knocked it out of the park again with this hilariously sexy sequel!! We follow the antics of Monty and Daphne as they assist each other with their problems. Daphne needs a husband and Monty needs a subject he can coach on making a love match in order to get the publisher to accept his book. What ensues is captivating hilarity and not a small amount of spice and immoral behavior. Perfect melding of fantasy and romcom! Added bonus the narrators are outstanding and play their parts exceptionally well.
