I needed this book and found it very useful, sometimes a reminder and sometimes a book that offers new advice and tips for gardening.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an eGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

An easy-to-understand and quick read of a gardening handbook. I really like Cali Kim's YouTube channel and was very excited to find this book available on NetGalley. While the book is very simple, I think that's what gardening truly requires. I like that you don't have to read this book in order by pages, you can flip to whatever section best suits you and work from there.

The pages and pictures are really pretty with text that is easy to read. I will be coming back to this one for advice in the future.

If you’ve ever looked at your garden and thought, “I wish I had more time for this,” The 10-Minute Gardener is here to save the day. This book is a total game-changer for anyone with a busy schedule who still wants to enjoy the joys of growing their own food (without dedicating hours a day).

Packed with super practical tips, this guide shows you how to turn gardening into bite-sized tasks that fit into even the busiest of days. Whether it’s a quick 3-minute pest-prevention tip while you sip your coffee or a 5-minute deadheading session during your lunch break, CaliKim makes it easy to maintain a beautiful and productive garden, one small step at a time. Plus, there are a few 30-minute weekend tasks to tackle when you’ve got a bit more time.

It’s all about creating your own little autopilot system for the garden, saving time while still reaping the rewards of homegrown veggies. For anyone who wants to grow a garden but feels like they just don’t have the time, this book is a must-have. It’s practical, approachable, and a total lifesaver for gardeners on-the-go. Happy gardening—one minute at a time! 🌿⏰

This book wasn’t what I was expecting. I am a lazy gardener and am always looking for ways to improve what I’m doing while still having time for all the other stuff I do. I thought this was about how to grow a garden with hardly any effort, but really it just breaks down nearly a hundred tasks into small chunks of time. I’m not a gardener like her. I don’t use weekly fertilizer. I don’t pick caterpillars off my plants (birds do a great job for me and the world needs butterflies and sphinx moths too). I don’t sharpen my tools unless needed and then it just takes a second, not something I need to plan. And I don’t deadhead my flowers past a certain point because I want birds to have access to the seeds and for them to reseed and make a million more for me next year (the ultimate lazy gardening trick in my book). This book actually made me feel overwhelmed with all the stuff I don’t do and how much extra time it would take, but I am very happy with my truly lazy gardens so I guess it works for me. More traditional gardeners will appreciate this book though.

I read a temporary digital loan of this book for review.

I found some new good tips that I will use in my gardening. I felt that the time tips seemed repetitive, in that they related to making use of short moments of time like when you are taking a coffee or stretch break, taking out the garbage, waiting for someone, etc. Any of these bits of time can be used to do a bit of gardening, or other chores too, which also gives you more time to enjoy your garden. Overall, I found this an enjoyable read although I didn't find that dividing the book into amounts of time of 3,5,8,10,30 minutes helped. Instead the actual gardening tips were the useful aspect of the book. Thank you for sharing this book and allowing me to give my feedback.
