Getting your advice from big organizations like the American Horticultural Society always feels like a good idea to me,
I really liked how this book is written, it is not crowded or filled with hard to understand terms. It gives advice on everything you might want, and let me tell you, I find the organic solutions to be the best when it comes to growing your own food. I mean, why else do you decide to grow your own food if you want to fill it with pesticides and artificial fertilizers. I'm not saying they are bad, depending on the quantity you use, but personally, I love to taste the organic veggies I'm growing (because they do taste way batter).
I have little experience when it comes to growing plants but I always wanted to have my own little garden from which I can get fresh products to add to my meal, and this book has an answer for every question I had so now, I feel ready to start my small garden (I have very limited space, otherwise I think this book motivated me enough to make me want to have a huge garden and not stop there)

This is a thorough and well written resource with lots of great photos. It was archived before I was able to finish it and publicly review it, but what I was able to read was well done.

This is a nice, comfortable, easy to follow guide from an organisation I really wanted to get advice from.
Thanks to the publisher for the ARC.

This is not an easy book to view on a phone. I would suggest anyone wanting to read it, use a paper copy or a laptop with larger screens so that you can see the pictures and the text together.

I love to read a wide variety of gardening books. I have a large container garden and I try my best to garden organically. This contains useful information for anyone with that same mindset and goal! This book also has a section on the history of gardening in America and a section of various different styles/types of gardens, which are both fascinating to read.
