Forever Love at Wildflower Lock by Hannah Lynn

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Blurb

There may be trouble ahead…

Just as Daisy felt she had mastered the intricacies of canal life, Theo, her go-to source for all boating questions has left Wildflower Lock, leaving behind not only a void in knowledge but in their budding romance.

Not one to sit and wallow, Daisy takes matters into her own hands. Who said long-distance relationships can’t work?

With the help of trusted friend Yvonne, Daisy takes the September Rose on a round trip to surprise her new boyfriend. The best thing about a floating home? The freedom to go wherever the water leads!

But even if she knows her narrowboat like the back of her hand, leaving Wildflower Lock may not be the wisest idea. Because it's not just the waterways Daisy must navigate, but also the varied characters she encounters on the way.

Has Daisy taken on more than she can handle?

My Opinion

Before you read Forever Love at Wildflower Lock, I would highly recommend reading the rest of the series. Hannah Lynn writes such delightful books and it is always a pleasure to catch up with Daisy and Theo. I am really glad that I discovered Hannah Lynn’s writing a couple of years ago, Hannah is now firmly on my must-read list. A relatively quick and sweet read.

Rating 4/5

This book is such a heartwarming journey of love, resilience, and self-discovery. Daisy’s charming adventures and her determination to make a long-distance romance work will make you smile. With delightful characters, humor, and a sprinkle of wanderlust, this sweet romance is perfect for fans of cozy, feel-good stories. A must-read for those who enjoy clean contemporary romance!

Ok, though I preferred others in the series. Some of the reactions did not ring true and both Daisy and Theo semed to make snap decisons and rush off and become moody where a talk to their life partner might be better. Some of the other parts of the plot , eg. their parents, felt a bit off too. Their working lives, such as Daisy's cafe, were tacked on and you don,t get the impression of life living on the lock in a houseboat which made others in the series interesting.

Theo's mother was just... no. Just no.
Maybe I'll come back to it at some point, but I don't know.
Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the arc.

*Anazon has declined to publish my review. Thus, my review is now on Fable as well*

This is a perfect fit for readers who adore heartwarming, feel-good stories about love, friendship, and adventure, with a strong sense of community and a touch of humor, often found in the works of authors like Cressida McLaughlin, Heidi Swain, and Holly Martin.

Daisy May and Theo are back together at Wildflower Lock. Will Theo's plan go astray? Loved the story and the conclusion of the series. They have their hardships but they are able to work through their problems.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and Boldwood and leaving a review by my own accord.

This is an author I am so glad I discovered several years ago and since then I have read all but one of her books. The series are so much fun, and I love seeing the continuation of the same characters in subsequent books.
The Wildflower Lock series is such a gem. The setting of the coffee shop and the houseboat are something I really enjoyed reading about. Its original and I loved it.
Daisy has been waiting for this moment for the longest time and now it has finally happened, Theo has proposed. He comes from a different background than her growing up and his family isn't the most welcoming upon meeting her. Her anxiety soon zooms off the charts and she finds herself doubting everything about the relationship. In step her friends and family, which I loved seeing the reassurance she got going forward. Heartwarming romance full of happy and hopeful times. Love will conquer all! Recommended for a sweet read that'll pick up your spirits!

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

I have adored every minute of this series and while I'm devasted that it's come to an end, I know Lynn will come back with another series that's just as delightful.

A visit to Wildflower Lock is always welcome and it's so lovely to catch up with everyone. They're such a lovely bunch of characters and will definitely be missed.

A heartwarming read full of family and friendships with the perfect ending.

I received an E-ARC with a request for my honest review.

This beautiful romance is set in Wildflower Lock and follows Daisy, who is continuing with her coffee shop business, and is settled with her boyfriend Theo.

When Theo suddenly proposes to Daisy, she is excited about taking the next step in their relationship.

However, after a visit to Theo’s parents and some harsh comments from her mother she starts to doubt her future.

What will Daisy decide? Will she choose Theo for her future?

This romance is the fourth in the Wildflower Lock series, and each book has been a beautiful read, I have loved each one more and more.

I love Daisy’s character as she is a strong woman, but also makes mistakes like the rest of us. She is caring, sweet, hardworking with her business.

There is plenty of drama in this part of the series, but friendship plays a large part of the storyline, and this helps Daisy when she doesn’t know what is best.

Overall, a beautiful romance where Daisy must decide her future.

Another delightful tale from Wildflower Lock!

With some hard work, Daisy May has made a success of her coffee shop on the water and life couldn't be better. Totally in love with Theo, she thinks life just couldn't get better - and then he pops the question and the insecurties flood in. When he takes her to meet his parents, things go downhill as they don't even try to hide their dislike for her. Can they really forge a future together?

As always, this is a well-written novel taking Daisy May's life a bit further forward. Her friends feature again and we could all do with pals like that. With a wonderful setting on the river, this is a gorgeous series and each instalment is beautifully told. Another enjoyable read, 4.5*.

My thanks to the publisher for my copy via NetGalley; this is - as always - my honest, original and unbiased review.

Both Theo and Daisy were exasperating characters!
Theo was such a dunderhead about not telling Daisy about something significant in his past and also not thinking about the reuse of an article in his approach. I would have stayed 20 minutes with his vile parents.
Daisy was too busy listening to everyone else about her relationship with Theo. Both of them needed to concentrate on each other and what they wanted.
I was Team Theo when he told Daisy what he did toward the end.
The ending was good but I question of the sustainability of the relationship.

This book follows Daisy and Theo as they finally get engaged, but let’s just say… it wasn’t the strongest romantic relationship I’ve read so far. For a couple who has known each other for years, you’d expect more stability, but instead, we’re met with constant miscommunication and unnecessary drama.

I loved the unique setting—boats in a canal, a cozy lock, and a small-town café—but the characters let me down. Daisy? She’s supposed to be this strong, capable woman who moved to a new town, renovated a boat, opened her café, but her immature decisions in the relationship made it hard for me to like her.

Don’t get me wrong, I did appreciate how the book explored the anxiety of commitment, especially from the perspective of someone like Daisy, who grew up in a somewhat dysfunctional family. It was an interesting layer to the story, but honestly, a little bit of actual communication could have solved all of their issues. And the ending? It wrapped up so fast in my opinion.

Overall, it’s a 3-star read.

I have read this entire series and unfortunately book 4 was a miss for me. It made me begin to dislike some longstanding characters who I previously was quite attached to. I am not sure there was enough of a story here for an entire book. I would have much preferred a continuation of where we left off in book three instead of having this time jump. It seems like this may be the end of the series but there are a lot of loose ends! Here's to hoping for Ben/Claire spin off.

Everything is going really well at Wildflower Lock, in the picturesque Essex countryside, the tea room is doing well, Daisy's friends are visiting, then wham bam Daisy and Theo visit his parents up in the Lake District and everything goes drastically pear shaped. A warm welcome and a celebration was expected, but unfortunately this doesn't happen. His parents have a funny way of welcoming her and when Theo's ex makes an appearance then things go dramatically down hill. Is their relationship finished or can they put everything that has happened behind them and carry on and pretend that nothing has happened? Even when they return home, things are not as they both hoped they would be and the question looms will they find love at Wildflower Lock now or in the future? I really enjoyed reading this book, I have read many books by Hannah Lynn and always enjoyed them. As always with her books, I found myself really drawn into the storyline, I actually know the area extremely well where this story is set, as we used to have a narrowboat moored at Paper Mill Lock and could recognise some of the landmarks. I liked the friendship and camaraderie between Daisy and her friends and although the story was very much one of will they, won't they between Daisy and Theo, I am very pleased with the eventual outcome.

An enjoyable end to a truly lovely series.

But why on earth did the relationship between Daisy and Theo really need to be put through the wringer, other than to add uncertainty to readers.

Didn't seem fair for two characters who have already had so many ups and downs in this relationship, to not have smooth sailing once there is a proposal.

It was interesting meeting Theo's parents, and I wasn't overly keen on Daisy's mum's behaviours either

There are some lovely romantic gestures, but also some great moments of thoughtlessness.

It's sad that our time on Wildflower lock appears to be at an end, as it has been great spending time on these narrowboats.

Thank you to Boldwood Book and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Such a lovely read, filled with emotional drama,
Where anxieties could result in bad karma.
So good to return to Wildflower love once more,
The place, the community and more to explore.

A loving proposal is the start
Of worries tearing this couple apart.
Parents, and what they have to say,
Create fears and worries for Daisy May.

Secrets revealed add to her fears
Will all end happily- or in tears?
An emotional finale where friendship and romance
Really need to be given a huge chance!

For my copy of this book I say thank you
As I share with you this my honest review.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW

Review for 'Forever Love At Wildflower Lock' by Hannah Lynn.

This book has fantastic descriptions that set you straight in the scenes. The cover, title and synopsis suit the storyline perfectly. This is the fourth and final book in Hannah's 'The Wildflower Lock' series but each book can be read as a standalone.

OMG!!! I absolutely LOVED this gorgeous book in this absolutely stunning series!! I fell in love with the characters and just everything in the first book in the beautiful 'The Wildflower Lock' series which was called 'New Beginnings At Wildflower Lock' and later books in this series after and was landed when this book came out! Although this is the fourth and final book in 'The Wildflower Lock' series it can be read in order of the series or as a standalone. I would, personally recommend you read at least one before this one as this is the final book but if you cannot wait then there is a silver lining to reading later books in a series first and that is that when you have finished it and fallen in love with the characters you can then go back and meet them all from the beginning! I have read the first and third books in this series but not had time to read the second book yet which is called 'Coffee And Cake At Wildflower Lock' but I had no problems at all reading this one without having read the second one previously. I can promise you, whether you start with this book or the first book in this absolutely gorgeous series you will not be disappointed!! Hannah is one of those authors that can write book after book featuring the same characters and I will never get bored, especially as they have now come to feel like friends. The only negative thing I can say is that apart from them living on in my mind and the story coming to life when I read it is that these fantastic characters only actually live on paper as I am devastated every time I have to say Goodbye to them!! I was even more devastated this time being as it is the final book in this series but as I have previously mentioned there is a positive and that is I can now go back and read 'Coffee And Cake At Wildflower Lock' so it is not quite the final Goodbye to the characters quite yet for me! The final storyline in this beautiful series is beautiful and is ram packed with friendship, romance, travelling, family,, water, family, locks, cake, stunning scenery, fun and is an absolutely stunning escapism read!!! This final book does have Daisy questioning her future with Theo after her horrid meeting with his just as horrid parents plus from her Mum's experiences. Will this book see the end of Daisy and Theo or will they ignore the questioning of others and they make their own future? I will let you find out for yourselves and I can guarantee that you will love it as much as I did. This is one of those books that are very easy to read and perfect for any reading situations whether you are laying on a beach or curled up in front of a fire. Regardless of what time of year it is or where you are reading it Hannah will whisk you off to Wildflower Lock along with other destinations and will put you in the middle of the lives of Daisy May and Theo at the turn of a page. It is an absolutely ideal read for anyone who is looking for a gorgeous and relaxing read that will have you hooked from beginning to end. I absolutely LOVED the realism of this storyline which made it so easy to picture everything that was going on which had been helped by Hannah's fantastic evocative writing skills. I cannot wait to get hooked into more of Hannah's books so I hope she is busy writing her next one while I get stuck into the second book in this stunning series!! This is definitely one of those books that will turn a frown upside down and make life seem a lot brighter. Grab your copy today and fall in love with 'The Wildflower Lock' series today!!!

Well done Hannah on yet another absolutely stunning and perfect addition to a gorgeous series!!!

Although this is the fourth and final book in the series I would have had absolutely no problems reading it without any of the others. Any details or events that have previously happened are mentioned in just the right amount of detail to let a new reader know what has happened and yet not too much to bore a previous reader.

The characters were all an eclectic mix and each one of them were realistic and strong. I was completely invested in them all. It also makes them more realistic, believable and made me feel even more for them than I normally would. I loved meeting them all again in this book after falling in love with them in book one in this series after they very quickly became to feel like friends. The fact that Hannah clearly cares about her characters is obvious in her evocative and emotive descriptions and in depth characterisation and personalisation of each and every single one of them. She really has managed to create an amazing selection of characters, each with their own personalities, strengths and weaknesses that I absolutely love meeting time and time again so a MASSIVE thank you Hannah for each and every one of your amazing characters in not only this series but also in your stunning 'The Holly Berry Sweet Shop' series too, which is another stunning series by this amazing author that I would also highly recommend! Each of the characters are memorable and unique in their own ways and they are a group that I wont ever be forgetting any time soon! I cannot wait to meet them all again in book two!!!

Pick up this book and get lost in this absolutely gorgeous page turner!

Congratulations Hannah on an yet another absolutely stunning read that I just could not put down!!! I would absolutely love to see this series turned into movies!!! This is the exact reason you are on my favourite author list and here's to your next success 🥂

Overall an unputdownable, gorgeous, STUNNING page turning book filled with family, romance, fun, doubts, hope, friendship and so much more!! A perfectly relaxing and stunning unique read!!!!

In Forever Love at Wildflower Lock, the fourth and final installment in the Wildflower Lock series, Daisy is certain she and Theo are meant to be together forever. However, as challenges arise and her insecurities deepen, she begins to question their future. The story explores their tumultuous relationship and whether love can overcome personal doubts and miscommunications. While the book offers a satisfying conclusion for fans of the series, Daisy’s impulsive decisions and lack of context for new readers may hinder emotional connection. Despite its flaws, it’s a quick read with an engaging “will-they-won’t-they” dynamic.
