This was a delightful read that really stuck with me. Lisa Van Allen created a lovely world that draws on beloved fairy tale lore to immerse readers in Green Valley, where we find Pennywort Farm and the love story between Sam and Olivia. The story is sweet and gripping, filled with magic and adventure. I was drawn in by the cover and premise and read this quickly, kept in Green Valley by Van Allen's excellent prose.

Even though I am not a fan of romances, I read this book, knowing that others are and I need to help them select good books. I was pleasantly surprised to see I, too, enjoyed this one.
