Thank you for the egalley to read and review!
Finally got to this one and I can't believe I waited so long!
First: AUSTRALIA! Who could not love this setting. Couple that with surfers and oh boy, what a ride.
I really enjoyed the characters. Talia and Bran have depth to them. They are fleshed out well. Both characters with so much going on. They are flawed and imperfect but their characters are all the better for it. Talia's OCD, she doesn't let it get the best of her. She overcomes the hardships it brings. Bran's year was no better.
I enjoyed the romance. The romance helped the two characters see they had so much to look forward to.
The pacing of the story was good. I didn't feel like it stalled. I didn't feel like I was pushing to read to the next page.
I was happy with how it ended. Nothing like a HEA.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This has been on my TBR pile for so long, and I'm glad I finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the storyline and seeing the characters change throughout the story was a great character development. The plot was great and kept my attention. I'm glad I got the chance to read this and will be on the lookout for more in the future!

Upside Down is the type of book that comes around occasionally. It literally blew me away and I would like to start by saying Lia Riley has an amazing talent for writing and explain why I loved this book. I highly recommend this book. If you suffer with anxiety, depression, OCD and phobias, chances are you will really 'get' this book.

This was a fun and cute story! But it was also emotional at times. For the most part I enjoyed the story but there were parts that did lag for me and threw the flow of the story off. I might have to give this author another try though!

Twenty-one-year-old Natalia Stolfi is saying good-bye to the past-and turning her life upside down with a trip to the land down under. For the next six months, she'll act like a carefree exchange student, not a girl sinking under the weight of painful memories. Everything is going according to plan until she meets a brooding surfer with hypnotic green eyes and the troubling ability to see straight through her act.

I liked this more than I thought I would. Two characters dealing with their own issues that are hard to show people who they really are until they come together. Bran is broody in all the right ways and Talia has flaws like a normal girl has about matters of the heart. How can two messed up people ever find anyone to love them, yet they do find it in each other. I got angry and sad and all the feels right along with the book!

I tried this book but was not enjoying it and was not invested enough in the story to continue. Just another NA with the same old stereotypical characters and flat plot

I had been wanting to start this series for such a long time. So many people rave about Lia Riley, and I just knew that a book, which partly takes place in Australia, was exactly what I was in the mood for. Just a few minutes into this audiobook and I was sold.

I loved these characters so much! Both Talia and Bran were flawed, imperfect, and made some pretty silly decisions that left me shaking my head. (Bran more than Talia, truthfully.) But their relationship was so great, and I loved their banter back and forth, which actually caused me to chuckle audibly a time or two. These are the type of stories I truly enjoy. They’re not perfect, their issues maybe wrap up a little too easily at times, but I love them from beginning to end.

Now that I’ve had the pleasure of reading book one in this series, I’m really looking forward to continuing on. Lia Riley pulled me right in with my writing, and I’m looking forward to reading more of her work in the near future.
