I absolutely LOVED this book!!! My favorite books are those that include time travel type situations, but they are almost always 1800's or 1700's. It is just so interesting to me to imagine what people from that era would think or how they'd behave if dropped into today's times. (Or vice versa, how we would think and feel if dropped into the 1800's.)

The cool thing about this book was it explored that concept, but with a fascinating twist - the person traveled to current times from 1377. Coming here from such an extremely old time period is a truly unique idea, and the way it was done in this book was excellent.

Highly recommend.

Time travel romances are one of my favourite things! I loved the concept of this book, but had a hard time connecting to Ashley’s character. I’d definitely read a sequel if there is one.

The easiest way for me to immediately say yes to a book is to make it a time travel Romance. I especially appreciated the perspective of this one, where the male protagonist travels to current time. The author did a great job of showing the challenges he would face, not just with regard to modern technology, but also with language and culture. The ending sets up perfectly for a sequel and I will absolutely read it if there is one.

Ashley’s life is falling apart, so she moved to England to work on a book and get her life together. Thomas, living in 1377, is struggling with the decision to become a priest, as is expected of him. His prayer to bring clarity takes him to modern times, where the two met.

I enjoyed the idea of two different time-lines being used in this story. The overall concept was everything that I was looking for and enjoyed the feel of this and how it used England. Beth Ford has a strong writing style and was glad I got to read this, I hope to read more from the author as this has been really well done.

I had trouble getting started with this one, but once I finally connected with the characters it flowed and worked out better than expected. It's not your classic time travel story, but one that also incorporates modern-day issues in a social statement about our current events. There is romance and mystery, and definitely some issues to unravel and resolve, but they make it work. I'd be interested to see what happens next.

Time travel books can be tricky, however, some authors manage to get it right. In this book, having Thomas from 1377 land in present day England opens up an interesting story. Thomas is a great character, being obviously of good standing but with his own issues of being expected to take up the priesthood. Ashley has her own problems, but they connect as she tries to help him navigate her world. As he has no ID, he is suspected of being an illegal immigrant. I enjoyed his perceptions about the world. I loved the ending, and do hope that there is to be a sequel. Thanks to NetGalley for an opportunity to read and freely review this book..
