I absolutely love me some small town romance and Teagan Hunter did NOT disappoint with this one!

Parker and Noel were best friends growing up and eventually became even more! Until, Noel decides to leave to pursue his acting dreams while Parker stays behind in her beloved small town.

Fast forward ten years later, Parker is on a mission to restore the town’s old theater and guess who returns for the grand re-opening? You got it… Noel Carter makes it back to town and these two end up getting a reunion an entire decade after they parted ways.

This book was such a fantastic friends to lovers, second chance, small town romance and I loved every minute of it!! Thank you so much to Teagan Hunter and Valentine PR for providing me with this ARC! ✨

Small town, second chances, and childhood friends to lovers—what more do I need to say? This book checked all the boxes for me, and I breezed through it. It was such a fun, easy read.

Parker Pruitt has been dreaming of renovating her town's theater, which has been closed for years after a tree fell on the roof. After years of fighting for the opportunity to restore it, her chance has finally arrived; however, there’s one small problem. An anonymous donor has stipulated that the new theater must be named after her childhood best friend turned love interest in her senior year but she hasn’t seen or spoken to him in ten years. Noel Carter is a famous Hollywood actor dreading his return to his hometown for the theater dedication in his name. He has been avoiding going back for a decade after Parker turned him down, and they haven’t communicated since. Can they resolve their issues and achieve a happily ever after like in the movies?

I had such a great time reading this book and I hope to pick up more by Teagan Hunter in the future.

This was... average. honestly, it could have been like 20% shorter. I was intrigued at the start but then they started "i really want to but I cant-ing" and there so much of that that I just got... lost. Also, mixed feelings about Axel. I liked him but then didn't but then liked him again. Did not like Aaron. Astrid and Noel's Gran... LOVED them! They were so much like my own Mom. The triplets were sweet.
Also, Noel's name was a trigger for me. It made it feel like he was a 60-something instead of in his late 20s. But in spite of all that, this was a good read. Thank you to valentine pr for this arc.

This is one of the first books of Teagan’s I’ve ever read and what an introduction to this amazing author it is!

This is a really unique take on second chance romance, with our main characters having been childhood friends who both felt something more as they graduated from high school — but whose circumstances and tough choices tore them apart for more than a decade.

When they come back together 10 years later — as our MMC Noel has a theater named after him in their small town, and FMC Parker happens to be leading the restoration project on said theater, it’s awkward at first, but it soon turns into a kind of love story that warms your heart at the same time that it makes it race. This entire story felt like a delightful hug, with characters that you could not help with fall in love with immediately. That includes our main characters, but also a whole host of secondary characters, from grans and moms, to good friends and quirky townspeople.

I loved every second of reading this beautiful book and I think that if you’re looking for something that will feel like a comfort read while still making you think and swoon and be emotional at times too, you cannot go wrong with Best Friends For Never.

This book is like a warm hug in the very best ways. I love Teagan's hockey series and I was definitely down for the change of pace with this small town romance. I just loved the characters, Teagan's easy writing style and the quirky town itself.

And Noel and Parker were everything. Your honor I love them and will accept no criticism on them, because I swear that second chance just hots differently in a small town romance.

Noal and Parker were best friends, until right before he was leaving to chase his acting dream in LA, and they became more for just a little while until they fell apart. Now, ten years later, Noel a famous Hollywood actor coming back to his small toewn and the best friend he left behind.

I just loved them, I love the whole cast of side characters and the "its always been you vibes" are immaculate. I love seeing two people who messed up when they were younger find their way back to each other when the timing is right. And I loved watching them reconnect.

Read this, I swear you will not be able to put it down. AndIf you need something that's going to make you giggle and kick your feet, this is the book for you.

This is my first book by the author and I’m sooo glad I have read one of her books 💕

Movie star Noel, goes back home to open up the newly refitted theatre, which has been named after him. Noel left Davenport to peruse his acting career, but he left behind his first love: Parker, and seeing her again made him realise that he quite possibly, doesn’t want to leave her again.

I really blooming loved this book. It was just so sweet and funny, but also absolutely delicious. I loved Parker; I thought she was marvellous. I just adored her and hoe much she cared for the people of her hometown. I found her relationship with her old school bully to be the best: the fact they are best friends now made me really happy. I found his and Noel’s relationship hilarious, especially when they were at loggerheads over Parker.

I found Noel pretty darn hot snd his filthy words literally made me swoooooon.i really enjoyed the plot and I loved the whole celebrity x ex-lover trope, along with the fact this was a second chance, which are my favourite.

I would love to read more of the author’s catalogue.

Noel left town 10yrs ago and is returning because they are honoring him with naming the theater after him. Parker was his best friend and when he left it broke her heart. Now that he is back in town, will these two have a second chance? These two were a slow burn for me having them reform their attachment after years apart. I enjoyed the story and the characters. Very good read.

Firstly a big thank you to @teaganhunterwrites & @valentine_pr_ for my arc, I'm so grateful! I absolutely adore Teagans writing and was obsessed with this! Loved the second chance aspect, the history between Noel & Parker their meddling family members had me chuckling! I LOVED the small town vibes, the whole storyline kept me hooked. The spice was 🔥 and the nickname had me like 🥰🤭 I utterly adored this one and would most definitely recommend 🫶🏻

This was a cute small-town romance that was a solid 3.5 stars for me! I liked the kind of element of second chance as well. The only reason this wasn't a 4 star for me was kind of the pacing and then I was a little confused on where the characters stood with each other. They would be mad and hurt then flirty and fun like nothing had happened. That part just felt a little stilted for me. Other than that-I really liked the quirky characters we got- Gran and Astrid. I liked the setting and the subtle jokes about who was Parker's best friend. I liked the fact that Noel was this big movie star who had left home and made a name for himself. I liked reading about how he now had mixed feelings about this whole situation because of how he feels about Parker. And I did like the chemistry between Noel and Parker. I liked how it was like something clicked for Noel and now that he wanted Parker he was going to pursue her. The spice came on fast which again with the pacing felt a little weird. I liked how both of them figured out what they wanted at the end and went after it.

Parker is proud of where she is in her life. She is part owner to a successful business. She is working to enrich her town and help open the theater that closed down all of those years ago. But none of that changes how she is feeling about seeing her old best friend that she hasn't talked to in 10 years now. She doesn't know what to expect. She has seen him on screen but how is it going to be seeing him in person? Awkward is the answer. But how could that be when they were inseparable all those years ago? And now she finds herself even more attracted to him than before. When he shows interest too they take their connection to a whole other level. And even though there is a deadline looming on when he will be leaving- Parker can't help but explore this thing. She can't help but talk about the past and explain her side. She can't help but become invested in whatever this thing is. But then plans change which she thought she was prepared for but reality is crashing in. And the question is she going to let him walk away again without explaining how she feels?

Noel is doing everything he can to avoid going home early. He wants to see Parker but he doesn't at the same time. There are just so many emotions from how they left things. But then he sees her and though it is awkward, he can't help but find himself wanting her even more than he did before. Somehow she has become more beautiful, more confident. He couldn't be more in awe of what she has accomplished. So he makes his move. He asks her out and it's like no time has passed but they have now experienced things to be ready for each other. It is nothing short of amazing what they share. And they continue to be amazing. Their time is running out though. Real life is calling Noel back to it, but he finds himself wanting things to be different than before. He finds himself thinking about the future and what that would look like without Parker. Now he has to figure out if that is a future he is ok with? Or if he is going to fight for what he wants.

This was a super easy and fast read. I would recommend it if someone is looking for a small town romance with found family that has the best quirks. I liked how both of them supported each other and were aware of what they both wanted to achieve. They were willing to do things different if it ended up with them being together- which who doesn't love that??

Thank you to Valentine PR, NetGalley and the author for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Loved this story. Couldn't wait to get back to Noel and "Peter". Full review to follow.

I think this may be my first book from this author however, the cover and the title of the book definitely grabbed my attention

After meeting Noel and Parker and devouring their small town, enemies to lovers second chance romance I find myself wanting more of these characters and will definitely be picking up another book from this author

Parker and Noel were childhood sweethearts. Parker had the opportunity to escape small town life and pursue his acting career in the big city. Sadly, although Noel wanted Parker to come with him, she wanted to stay in their hometown.

When Noelle returns to his hometown, he was welcome to buy many except for the one he missed the most.... Parker.

Time did not dissipate the feelings that these two had for one another. Parker just tried to mask her feelings in anger, but being around Noelle melted her cold heart.

Axel was the best friend that anyone could ask for. I would definitely be interested in more of Axel and his wife's story. I loved that Noel's grandmother remained close to Parker in his absence.
Astrid was so much fun and I enjoyed the way she tried to arrange some time for Parker and Noel to spend time together by reminding them of their past.

Overall everything you would expect in a small town second chance romance all tied up in a bow.

Second chance romance is so beautiful especially when both parties have been pining for one another for years. He’s been her best friend for years but he has demons to face and dreams to build, she has self confidence issues and isn’t ready to leave her small town so 10 yrs goes by without a single word after he leaves for success but when an anonymous donor buys their safe haven, Noel is back but nothing has changed…or has it… wow so many ups and downs, worries and peace offerings, stolen moment and broken promises…love and hate…lust and ambition…there is just so many secrets…can they find their way back to being best friends…or have they lost each other forever…if you want angst this book is full of it…if you want love…check this out…if you want HEAs…well you’ll have to read it to find out…so good. Thanks for sharing Noel and Parker with us Teagan.

An anonymous donor brings two former best friends back together to work on the renovation of a small town theater. It had very funny moments and was very cute. The MCs had lots of chemistry although a little angst would have been welcomed.

You can’t go wrong with a small town, second chance romance! This was a cute story and I enjoyed Teagan’s writing style! This was definitely a slow burn, so slow that it took the main characters grandma and mom to finally get the characters to move. Parker and Noel had the once in a lifetime love that doesn’t die no matter how much time goes by but they are too afraid to move on their feelings after so many years apart. It’s a quick read but a good story!

This is such a sweet and fun book!! I loved all the small town feels and the author did such a great job with it, that I want to visit the theater, the ice cream place and the bait shop.. Emerald falls seems like a quaint small town that you visit and never want to leave!!
Noel and Parker are adorable together!! They were best friends but Noel was destined to be a Movie star and moved to LA. Parker was scared and stayed behind.
10 years have passed and the feelings are still there. Parker is a miracle worker when it come to rebuilding old buildings in town. She's redoing the theater and dedicating to Noel's name. This brings the story to light and brings so many good feelings along with it.
This book was sooo good and I loved every minute of it!!

I will always love a small town, second chance romance and this was no different. Noel and Parker were childhood best friends turned lovers, both desperately in love with the other, when he leaves town to pursue his acting career and doesn't look back leaving her crushed.

When Noel returns to their hometown, Parker has a hard time facing him and her abandonment issues resurface. I adored how protective Axel was of her. He's the guy best friend we all want.

While their reconnection is a slow burn , it's totally worth it. When they reconnect it's magnetic. Those old feeling are still there, only stronger. The 10 years that separated them disappeared like they never happened, only alot has happened to both of them in that time. He has to return to his acting career, but she's built a business and a life separate from him. They love each other so much and don't want to be apart, but she's scared to ask him to chose her and stay, and he's afraid to ask her to come with him again after what happened the first time.

As their story builds, their connection is palpable and you just know their HEA is going to be special. This was such a sweet and fun read and I'm really hoping we get more from this found family and small town.

Oh my heart….this book! Firstly, it is a great story about a second chance at love with the person you thought was your best friend.
The story follows Noel and Parker. They were childhood friends until Noel decided to leave his hometown in pursuit of becoming an actor.
Parker stayed in their hometown and now ten years later Noel is coming back home for the renaming of the town theatre in his name. He’s now a well known actor but it cost him the girl he loved.
Being back in town brings back all the good memories and it also brings back all the reasons why he loved her so much.
I loved reading this story. Second chance at love makes me cry. And boy did I cry. I won’t spoil this at all but reading these two reconnecting his so sweet. The hometown as a backdrop is inviting and cozy. And Parker’s new best friend is a perfect tiny twist to this book.
You will completely fall for these two and trust me when I say you will be rooting for them!

Noel & Parker's book is such a sweet good second chance love story. They fell in long at a young age, then went their separate ways to pursue their dreams. During this time, the love didn't die. It only defined who they were as individuals and together. The plot flowed very nicely and kept me entertained from beginning to end. I loved the secondary characters as well as they play supporting roles to Noel & Parker. I found myself rooting for them to forgive the past and start anew because they were only kids back then. I'm glad they found their happily ever after. It was worth the wait.

Thank you to Teagan Hunter, Montlake, and NetGalley for an eARC of Best Friends for Never!

4/5 Stars

I absolutely adored this book! There were so many laugh-out-loud moments mixed in with moments that had me wanting to tear my hair out, and also moments that had me audibly saying "awwwww." There were plenty of moments that frustrated me, too.

I loved the relationship between Axel and Parker. How they were sworn enemies in highschool turned best friends/business partners. Axel was overly protective in a big brother sort of way and it was cute to see their platonic friendship play out.

I loved the quirky town and all its people. It was sort of a dream town where everyone looked out and supported one another. I couldn't imagine why Noel would every want to leave.

I loved the concept that Parker was renovating a theater! I was a theater kid in college, so I could relate to how Noel and Parker felt ties to the Theater and wanted to renovate it to give the kids in town a creative outlet.

This book had a great mix of spice, humor, and romance. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone who loves spicy rom coms or authors like Christina Lauren, Tessa Bailey, or BK Borison!

When Noel returns to his hometown, now a famous movie star, things aren't how he left them. For one, his best friend Parker was left behind so is she still his best friend?

I couldn't put this book down. The characters chemistry was everything. The supporting characters truly made the story. Axel was my favorite! But digging deeper is Noel and Parker. So much time has passed that you wonder if they can make things right?!
