This is another Tom Rollins story in which he rights wrongs at breakneck speed. There are lots of short chapters with plenty of characters to love and hate. It's a good read.

I really enjoyed the previous book Kill Switch by Paul Heatley so was happy to see Choke Hold show up so soon after reading that one. The book picks up just days after the last one and the call from Cindy that she needed Tom’s help.

If you are not familiar with the series, Tom Rollins is a very Reacher-esque character. He is somewhat nomadic while better at staying in touch or in one place for a while. But like Reacher, trouble always finds him. This is book 15 in the series but they are all very readable as standalone books.

This one started out less violent than the others I have read but it gets very violent towards the end. It does come with a trigger warning for rape, kidnapping and other violent crimes. They are not super explicit but ongoing themes in the book.

This one was a quick read, a little shorter than most of the books I have read recently but also fast paced and you want to find out what happens. Not that you think Tom won’t get out of it as it is not the end of the series even at 15 books but it does get a bit dicier than usual.

Thanks to Netgalley and Inkubator Books for the ebook to review. This one is already available at time of review and included with Kindle Unlimited.

Choke Hold by Paul Heatley is a highly recommended action packed thriller. This is an intense action/adventure page-turner where the good guy eliminates everyone in the way of justice.

Tom Rollins, PhD, former black ops specialist is in San Francisco when he is called by his old friend, Cindy Vaughan. She is helping Chris search for his sister, Louise, who has been missing for 3 weeks. Cindy has found CCTV of her abduction. It appears that she has been taken by an organized group who has abducted others in a ominous depraved operation. Cindy knows Tom can help get to the bottom of things and find those responsible.

Set disbelief aside and follow the fierce non-stop action as Tom arrives in Lubbock, Texas, and takes no prisoners along the way. The action starts immediately as antagonists come after Cindy and Chris while they are awaiting Tom's arrival. He arrives and reads the situation while encountering a follow-up crew in her apartment. The action just keep rolling through the whole novel with mysteries, murders, violence, and henchmen galore.

This is the fifteenth novel in the series featuring Tom Rollins. It can be read as a stand alone, although others in the series would provide more of Tom's background information. Those new to the series could always go back and read previous titles, and if you enjoy Choke Hold you will very likely want to read the others.

This is a perfect choice for those who want a fierce, constant, action-hero plot. Thanks to Inkubator Books for providing me with an advance reader's copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary and expresses my honest opinion.

The review will be published on Barnes & Noble and Amazon.

There is no rest for Tom Rollins, just as he tries to recover from the last book he gets a call saying that he is needed. Choke Hold by Paul Heatley is the 15th adventure with this character and it is one of the best so far. It's a wicked story and Rollins deal in it is righteous. I really like this wandering creation from this writer and I always have a good time reading these stories. I also like the way the main characters are developing. The book is as always well written and researched and I'm sad to say it doesn't last very long due to the pace in the written word. I really do recommend this series and I send a big thanks to the author for writing this stuff and Inkubator Books and Netgalley for supplying me with the advance copy.

This book is much better than the last one in the series, with a good plot, great characters and lots of action. A lot of the action, however, is due to the main character doing something very stupid and then getting very lucky. First rule of fighting: don't get hit!

This is the perfect title for this book! It's probably the best title of any book I've ever read as this book will have you in exactly that as you read it.

Tom and Cindy have gotten themselves in some very serious situations and in some tight spots but nothing like this one. The question is will they get out of it.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a strong fifteenth entry in the Tom Rollins Thriller series, it had that feel that I was hoping for and enjoyed the overall feel of this storyline. The characters had that element that I was hoping for and enjoyed the overall fell of this. It had that charm that I was looking for from this series. Paul Heatley has a strong writing style and was glad I read this.

Very entertaining book for readers of this excerpt series. (In the previous book) we left Tom Rollins healing in San Francisco, and now he gets a call from Lubbock, Texas from Cindy who’s trying to help Chris find his sister. Clues lead to group producing violent films. Rollins wastes no time and starts wasting bad guys. Non-stop action makes for a very quick read.

A terrific page turner from Paul Heatley, so exciting I read it all as fast as possible, highly recommended. Tom Rollins is great as the lead character but Chris and Cindy are well drawn characters as well. Thank you to netgalley 2and the publishers for giving me a copy of the book.

Intense from beginning to end - Hostel meets 8 MM meets Die Hard and the action never lets up. Money in the hands of truly evil psychotic people never fares well, and their fans just as bad - more scary since this scenario could be real. Everything builds to an explosive conclusion, you don't want to miss this one.
