Excellent narration, well paced and great distinction of characters. The story is what it is, written in 1956 and reflecting that time period. Vastly different from the movie, so don't expect more than a couple of similarities. But take the time to listen to this excellent performance by Pippa Bennett-Warner.

Diamonds Are Forever is a thrilling ride through high-stakes intrigue, diamonds, and dangerous alliances. Tiffany Case, the icy blonde with a sharp wit, is a standout character—independent, strong-willed, and far from the typical Bond girl. Her playful yet guarded nature makes her a perfect match for the suave and cunning James Bond. The dynamic between them is electric, especially as she moves from being a mere tool in Bond's mission to a key player in the plot.

The diamond-smuggling ring plot keeps things fast-paced, with Bond navigating both enemies and unexpected twists, while Tiffany's own transformation from a cold character to a surprising ally adds layers to the story. The mix of romance, suspense, and Bond's characteristic coolness delivers all the classic elements of a 007 adventure.

Overall, it's a fun and engaging entry in the Bond series, with plenty of action, a bit of charm, and a very memorable femme fatale.

I followed the Sean Connery as 007 back in the day! So I thought this would be a fun throw back in time.
Must admit I was immediately crushed that the audiobook didn’t start off with the ‘Diamonds are Forever’ theme songs from the movie.

Then I remembered the book series was popular BEFORE the movie series.
SO I settled in and ended up liking it.
Pippa Bennett-Warner, the narrator did a great job in performing the characters.
Since it had been ages ago that I saw the movie this story turned out new for me.
