Stolen Baby
Nora has wanted a baby desperately, but after several miscarriages a baby mysteriously ends up on her doorstep.
The beginning took me a bit to get into it, but then it really picked up.
Several times the chapter would end with some foreshadowing that took you out of the moment and halted a surprise from happening . Example “it’s this feeling I get when something terrible is about to happen, and honestly, I’m invariably right”. This happens a couple times at the end of a chapter when a nice moment is occurring and feels a bit jolting as a reader .
As the story progresses and shifts to Isobels point of view it really picks up! She’s kind, and cares deeply about those around her. Her POV also has you developing more empathy for her mom. She carries the burden of caring for everyone around her.
The twists are good!! 80% in I was in shock mouthing “wtf” on repeat! The ending was definitely well done as well!
I really enjoyed this !
I was over thinking the whole time but the twists shocked me so much from the gripping start to the amazing end I was so gripped. I loved the characters they were interesting loved finding out their secrets and lies was an amazing thriller

Nora unfortunately has had several miscarriages so when an infant baby girl shows up in a basket on my their front step, Nora feels their prayers have been answered,
There is a note stating – “Her name is Daisy. Please keep her safe.”
Tom wanted to notify authorities. Nora is positive the note proves the parents were desperate and knew they would keep Daisy safe.
Tom finally agrees. When Isobel comes home and finds Daisy crying .She is shocked but when Nora tells her the situation, Isobel looks at the baby and welcomes her to the family.
They want to keep her and know with wife’s history baby Daisy will be taken away and put in foster care.
Story kept me curious. I read a lot of thrillers so am suspicious of everyone -so one of the big reveals wasn’t a surprise. But the ending was indeed bizarre~ although unrealistic it was still a page turner.
This is only my fourth Liz Davis story. The other three were great earn 4+ or 5 Stars! They were all great page turner and left me wanted to read more of her stories.
About the Author:
Author, L.G. Davis (Liz Grace) creates fast-paced, unpredictable, twisty-turny, psychological thrillers set in small towns. She strives to create characters that feel so real that her readers would want to meet them in real life. She loves to set her thrillers in small towns that, at first sight, look picturesque, but upon closer inspection, dark secrets and dangerous minds threaten the residents.
Want to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for this great early eGalley.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for January 24, 202.
I thought this was an okay read. I didn't fully get into it, I wasn't taken with the characters, and I found that off-putting wouldn't put anyone else off reading it though.
3.75**** This was definitely a whirlwind. The suspense was high and it delivered. The plot twist got me. My mouth dropped! It was a quick read but I wish it ended differently. If there is a sequel, then I’ll understand. Overall, I enjoyed the author’s writing style and look forward to reading more from her!
I was so excited when L.G Davis posted that Stolen Baby was in Netgalley. I was even more excited when my request was approved!
I had anxiety waiting for the next thing to happen at every page I read. I had to know how the story would end! I had figured out part of it but def so many other twists and turns I did not see coming.
If you want a non stop thriller this one is for you!
I thought about what I would do if faced with the same situation I don’t think you fully know what you would do until ur in it.
This is a brilliant read. Full of twists and turns and it blew my mind. I couldn't put it down and needed to finish it to find out out how it ended. 5* from me
Lots of twists and turns in this family domestic drama with a shocking ending! We see a dysfunctional but seemingly happy family trying their best to add another child. As we progress through the story, it gets more tense with each chapter leading us to see all the secrets kept by these members who set out to deceive.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved how it progressed by switching to a new character’s point of view. The last person I expected was the guilty one!!
Wow this author has done it again another gripping thriller. L.G Davis is one of my favourite authors so I couldn’t wait to read this and wow was definitely not disappointed I loved it one of my favourite read this year. I loved how the characters were written so realistic and the story was believable. There was so many mixed emotions throughout I felt for the main character at times. The writing style was great definitely drew me in from first page until the very last.
Nora has a daughter but has been trying to have a baby for a while it has ended in multiple miscarriages so when she opens the door and there’s a baby with a note saying look after her. But who is the baby mum what danger has Nora put herself and her family in my opening her to door to a baby.
I can not recommend this book enough I loved everything about it and can’t wait to recommend it to everyone. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this excellent thriller.
Stolen Baby takes some stick-with-it-ness. I wanted to DNF around the first 100 pages. The only thing that kept me reading were the reviews. I'm glad that I kept at it! Terrific book for mystery/suspense lovers. Just don't give up...
Stolen Baby by L.G. Davis. An interesting read although with a hard to believe premise and circumstances within the story. The story was fast paced and did have some unexpected twists and turns Nora was a hard character to reliate to.
Thank you to Bookouture, L.G. Davis and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.
This is wow wow wow read.
It is a good story, and it is just a story as there is no reality to it (it's a bit far fetched) and I really enjoyed it.
There is a lot of emotion, a found baby, a couple who tried to have children and couldn't and I couldn't help but fell for them.
It is dramatic, twisty and with that ending I was shook....
A gripping and emotional thriller that keeps you turning the pages. Plenty of shocking twists and turns. Brilliant, I really enjoyed it!

This is the first LG David book that I have read; I requested it as an ARC read from Netgalley for which I’m really grateful!
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the book. And I’ll try and set out why constructively;
PROS:
The book is fast-paced
I did want to keep reading to find out what would happen
CONS
I found the whole story unbelievable ; from the mother accidentally telling her daughter that her father was dead, the unrealistic dialogue between mother and daughter, the very unrealistic first week of life with a newborn, instantly calling a Dr when the baby cries, and to 3 adults, including the Dr not questioning going to the police about a missing child?!
I found the book too fast-paced and chaotic.
For me unfortunately the whole plot was unrealistic and quite laughable at times. But with that said, I did keep reading. I wouldn’t rush to pick up another LG Davis book.
I think this has to be the best book from this author and I have thoroughly enjoyed them all.
Great storytelling telling from the very beginning with an explosive ending, everything explained perfectly with great characters.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for this brilliant ARC which I have no hesitation in recommending. I look forward to the next one from this author.

A unique storyline which grabbed me from the start.
Well written characters.
I thought i had worked it all out, how wrong i was!
Great ending.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
This book provided a captivating experience. Initially, I thought I had figured out the child's ancestry,; wrong. The plot twists kept surprising me, and the resolution was a profound narrow escape that concluded the story effectively. Having read all of Davis's works, I can confidently say this is her greatest achievement yet.
What a tangled weave of deceit this book holds! Nora, her husband Tom, and her 19-year-old daughter from a past relationship, Isobel, have just been through something horrific as a family. Nora and Tom have been trying to have their own baby, and after two miscarriages, Nora gets pregnant again. This time, she carried the baby much longer, long enough for them to name her Danielle. But again, fate played a cruel joke, and she lost Danielle as well.
Nora already suffers from anxiety and depression, and this third loss has her a shell of herself. Just as she’s at her darkest, her doorbell rings. At the door is a newborn baby with a note saying her name is Daisy, and to please take care of her. Nora takes this is a sign, and after a week of no police reports or visits, they decide to keep Daisy and raise her as the child they just lost. (Just one of the first times you’ll need to suspend reality in this book).
The rest of the book is all spoiler territory! Yes, this book is very unrealistic, but it’s also very entertaining and definitely a page turner. I knew one of the big twists immediately, but there were many more twists to come that shocked me. Much of the book is from Nora’s POV, but when it switches to Isobel’s, I think the story takes a turn for the better. I didn’t feel much for any of the characters, and I thought the whole thing was slightly cheesy, but I still enjoyed this book a lot - it’s just going to go in the popcorn thriller category for me. 3.5 stars, rounded up.
(Thank you to Bookouture, L.G. Davis and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my review. This book is slated to be released on January 24, 2025.)
