i really enjoyed reding this book

Wow! Another great read from Jessica Huntley! She continues to be a go-to author for me. Amazing cast of characters. Some I loved and some I love to hate. Action packed and filled with movers and shakers. Dark and disturbing.
Thank you NetGalley, Jessica Huntley and Joffe Books for the opportunity to read and review this cracker of a book.

The bonds of true friendship run deep and true - how far would you go for your friends? Secrets, lies, manipulations, and yep some really horrible husbands all come to a head as these friends find out the limit, and go beyond. A treat for all fans of revenge or vigilante tropes, like me!

An intriguing premise for a story, it was an easy fast paced read. Lots of twists and turns. I didn’t love the ending it just fell kinda flat for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Joffe Books for an advance reader copy in return for an honest review.

Horrible Husbands by Jessica Huntley is an absolute gem! This book combines sharp humor, relatable characters, and a dose of real-life relationship insight that makes it impossible to put down. Huntley’s witty writing brings to life the chaos and comedy of marriage, especially when one partner seems to be consistently underachieving. The way she balances humor with moments of vulnerability and truth about relationships is brilliant. Whether you're married, divorced, or just enjoy a good laugh at the absurdity of it all, you'll find yourself nodding along (or laughing out loud) at the antics of her "horrible" husbands. Jessica Huntley has a gift for storytelling, and this book is an absolute must-read for anyone who enjoys clever, heartfelt, and hilarious fiction. Five stars, no question!

You'll do anything for your friends, right?
Penny, Holly and Lisa have been best friends since childhood. They share everything with each other. On a girls weekend away, secrets come out about their partners, and the women form a plan to....rid themselves of their husbands.

LOL - I loved this book. It's ridiculous and clever. This isn't a haha kind of story. It's a more "that's effed up" thing. Jessica Huntley has written a smart, SMART book, and includes bonus tips on how to get rid of a body! :)
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review.

Another good thriller from Jessica Huntley. It's the third one I've read now and this one had a good build up throughout with little secrets revealed slowly at first, then some twists later on. Told from the POV of the three main characters, this thriller keeps you on the edge of your seat and guessing throughout what was going to come next. It does have triggers, being a thriller you do expect them. It goes in straight from the start with one so be sure to check out trigger warnings. I don't know how Jessica manages to write all these good thrillers and still keep you guessing but she does. Thank you Jessica and netgalley for the early read.

After finishing a 5 star ARC by Barbara Linn Probst, it probably wasn't the best time for me to start this book the following day. While I love the cover. I'm not joking with the main characters. They annoy me & find them very cliche. Of course, I is disabled, the 2nd is being battered by her husband & the 3rd is a minority. While categorized as a thriller. It was a very light almost rom.com vibe to it. Not my style.

Thank you, Joffe Books for the copy of Horrible Husbands by Jessica Huntley. I don’t think this book was for me. It started as a run-of-the-mill thriller. It might just be me, but I hate it when adult women call each other girls. Even worse, they called their trio “b1tches”. Ugh, I kept reading, but I was immediately disengaged with the story. The first big reveal was obvious to me from the beginning, and the last one surprised me but didn’t seem plausible because there weren’t really any clues. This was a fast, light read, but I would have preferred more substance. 3 stars.

This gripping murder mystery features unexpected twists and a fast-paced plot that kept me engaged. I recommend it for an entertaining read, though the female characters' relationship struggles were frustrating. Overall, it follows three wronged women seeking revenge, raising thought-provoking questions about their choices.

Guys, I have such a bingeworthy thriller for you! I literally couldn't put this one down, it was so entertaining.
Penny, Lisa and Holly have been best friends for so long. When the opportunity comes up for them to catch up for a girls' weekend, they jump at the chance. After a few drinks to loosen up, the girls begin to reveal their secrets and it becomes clear that neither of them have great husbands. Then it's put across that they end their torment, will they go through with it?
Take my advice and pick this one up if you get a chance!! It doesn't publish until end of January but I read it early and loved it so much that I knew I had to share how good it was with everyone.

three friends three husbands and a mention of murder...
This book was fun,It reminded me of Bad Sisters and I was laughing at times at things I probably shouldn't have.
This well written and quite short book is just perfect. It has everything,,drama, twists and lot of story.
The characters are fabulous and I loved how the story developed ..

A real fast paced quick read for me.
Interesting if slightly bonkers storyline.
Although i enjoyed it a number of things didn't add up and i was left with quite a few questions
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

3.5/5
This book was pretty short and enjoyable, I had a fun time reading it. (But I would definitely look up trigger warnings for this, especially if you're sensitive to garbage/abusive relationships/men.)
The premise of this story: Sometimes you just need to plan to murder your garbage husband with your besties, just casual girl's trip activities!
I do wish we got a bit more background on the characters, we definitely get some but I think I would like more overall and with a few other characters besides the main group of best friends. I think I only say that because of how the book finished, I think that should have had a bit more background to it (sorry for how weird and vague that sounded, I'm trying not to spoil anything).
We support women's rights and wrongs in this household! It's called karma.
Thanks to NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review! My Goodreads review is up and my TikTok (Zoe_Lipman) review will be up at the end of the month with my monthly reading wrap-up.

"It has always been about my friends; my best friends.
Because yes, good friends will die for you, but only best friends will kill for you."
3.5 stars!
This book was pretty binge-worthy, and I enjoyed the plot leading up to twist, as well as the twist itself. However, the chapters that followed felt a bit... underwhelming in comparison. Perhaps it was because the build-up was comparatively intense, or maybe because the author seemed to lose their footing with the plot right after the big reveal.
As for the mastermind... let’s just say the readers were intentionally misled. We were explicitly told they had no knowledge of certain things, and that deception threw me off completely. Without spoiling too much, I’ll just point to Chapter 18, last paragraph.
The ending left me with so many questions. I wish we’d gotten more backstory about the mastermind and their motivations. Also, what exactly happened to Lori? And does Aunt Sylvia know the whole story? A lot felt skipped over or rushed. As if there was nothing left for the plot, once the reveal was over.
One thing I have to mention: there should have been trigger warnings.
Some scenes—especially in the first chapter and a few later ones—had disturbing content I wasn’t prepared for, like sexual assault, domestic violence, and miscarriages. I get that thrillers and murder mysteries deal with heavy topics like murder and gore, but as someone new to the genre, a heads-up would’ve been nice. Especially with the way we started off...
That said, the last chapter was a little reassuring though. I'm glad to see Women helping other Women- by whatever means necessary!

Thanks NetGalley and Joffe Books for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This was a completely binge-worthy book that I read in less than a day. There are all kinds of twists in this book, and many I didn’t figure out. The end might be a bit extreme — even for a book that has many extremes — but I still really liked it. Definitely a book worth checking out when it’s released later in January, 2025.

Three best friends. Three women who will do anything for each other. Including killing their horrible husbands! Great read!! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! It had great suspense, intriguing, murder, mystery, a fantastic who done it that I did not see coming and a few wild twists! The story was very interesting! I highly recommend reading this one! Thank you NetGalley and Joffe books, my fave! For sharing this book with me!

Penny, Holly and me. We’ve been best friends since we were seven years old. We tell each other everything.
Well . . . almost everything. I haven’t told them about Simon.
The first time he hit me was on our wedding anniversary. He broke down in tears afterwards. That’s the thing about Simon. He’s always sorry . . . until the next time.
I’m not sure why I don’t tell my friends about my horrible husband. Maybe it’s because I don’t want them to worry. They have their own problems.
Now we’ve descended on Penny’s stunning country home for a rare girls’ weekend.
As the cocktails flow, the truth starts to come out. It turns out I’m not the only one keeping secrets. Bloody hell, we sure can pick them.
As I find out about the awful things Penny and Holly’s partners have done, we make a we’ve put up with our good-for-nothing husbands for long enough. It’s time to put things right. Permanently.
“Here’s to our horrible husbands. May they get what’s coming to them.” We clink our glasses and drink.
It seemed like such a good idea at the time. To kill our lying, cheating, murderous spouses. But now what’s going to happen . . . ?
Loved it

Penny, Holly and Lisa get together after many years for a girl's weekend. They keep in contact via Whatsapp, but do not mention how unhappy their marriages are.
It all comes out over the weekend, and they decide to kill their husbands.
Easily a 5 star read for me. I stayed up late to try and finish it, but the need to sleep won, so I woke up early to read the final chapters.
Riveting, fast paced, emotional, triggering. I could not put this book down.
I rate it among the best I have read this year.
Thanks to Netgalley and Joffe Books for the ARC.

Three best friends; Penny, Holly, and Lisa. They live in different parts of the UK and don’t get to see each other nearly as often as they’d like, so Penny decides to remedy that and invites Holly and Lisa to her home for the weekend.
They’re having a fabulous time but then the drink loosens their tongues, and they each tell the others about their horrible husband. Lisa’s husband is violent towards her, Holly suspects her husband may have killed someone, and it looks as though Penny’s husband might be cheating on her. They decide that they’re going to do something about those horrible husbands and come up with a plan – to murder them.
We all like a story that suddenly has an “I wasn’t expecting that!” moment, and this one certainly has a very big surprise that I didn’t see coming. Absolutely gripping and will definitely read more by this author.
