"Don't focus on the what IFS. Focus on what IS"
I actually read this book back in 2016 and loved Chase and Reese so much. I'm super excited to see it get a gorgeous new cover. Reading it again was so special, and I fell in love all over again. I adore Vi Keeland's writing; her characters and world-building, and can't help but get lost in her stories.

This book is a slow burn leading to spicy office romance. After the MC Chase steps in and saves Reese from a terrible date, Reese can't seem to get him out of her head. During her search for a new marketing job, she ends up getting hired at the company Chase owns and built from the ground up! Finally, in a job that she loves and is passionate about, Reese can't fight her growing attraction to her new boss. However, Chase has a reputation for being a womanizer, and Reese doesn't have the best track record with men. As they get to know each other, we find out about Chase's past hurt and Reese's past heartbreak. As the attraction builds, Reese and Chase can't fight it anymore, and man is it a cute and fun ride once they decide to stop fighting it. This book left me with a big goofy grin and a definite need to read more of Vi Keeland's work!

I really loved Bossman and this new edition was just as good as the original. I personally love the dead ex trope and thought it worked really well here.

This was a really quick and chemistry-filled read. I liked the characters and there was so much depth to the romance and relationship. We have the fmc that starts a new job and meets her boss who is unlike any other she has ever had. He has a nipple piercing and is very down to earth. Instantly there is a lot of sexual tension and he is flirting with her. He should have probably been called but I'll excuse it because of the chemistry and tension. What I thought was nice was the back story and how it impacted the relationship. Both characters have been through trauma and understandably it affected their relationship when they got together. Overall this was a sexy boss/office romance. Thanks to Bloom for the arc of the trad published version.

I liked the initial part better as it was much more ironic and funny, because I remain of the idea that irony is this author's strong point. Problematic then is for me the situation in which our heroine works for our hero, because I find it a biased setting from the beginning and so I tend to try to avoid this trope, which however is more and more frequent unfortunately....
I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

Reese meets a gorgeous stranger, Chase while hiding in the bathroom hallway to complain to her bff on the phone about her awful date. Chase then appear at her table and pretends to be her old friend- charming her.... He meets her a month as his boss
Love Reese and Chase together. So much fun and sexiness. Love their chemistry. A very sexy read. Really enjoy the romance.
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

I never dreamed , I would ever not love a book by Vi Keeland. Bossman did it make difficult for me. I read the book in 2019, but now, new released by Sourcebooks, I gave it a new try and now I'm a fan of characters and story again.
The writing is exquisit and the characters, I love me some bad guys for sure.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc of this book. This is the first book I have read by the author Vi Keeland. From the first chapter the main characters Reese and Chase had me hooked. This book was witty, humorous and spicy. I could not put this book down once I started it. The summary of this book does not do it justice. This book was really good. It exceeded all my expectations and I look forward to reading more by this author.

I loved Bossman! From the first moment Reese and Chase met, I wanted to know all about them. It was such an entertaining read with so many fantastic scenes but there was an underlying emotion that built throughout and it was incredibly well done. I am kicking myself for not reading this sooner!
Reese and Chase were excellent characters. Chase was charming and charismatic and his pursuit of Reese in full-on flirt mode was awesome. He’s so much more than a good time, so I loved seeing his somber moments and the flashbacks of his past building to the present day, revealing his pain and secrets. I loved learning everything about Reese. How strong of a woman she was and what happened in her past to form who she is. These two were fantastic together and had great banter. There's a push and pull between them because of their attraction and the complication that he’s her boss, creating drama and a lot of witty scenes as well that had me smiling. I really liked them fighting their feelings because I could feel that simmering fire between them and couldn’t wait for it to explode. When it does, holy wow it was scorching! I loved Chase’s growth and healing throughout the story and all his vulnerable moments. I loved Reese trusting him and letting him in. I loved both of their retrospection and how cathartic certain moments felt.
This felt light and fun but when that first flashback came, I just knew something emotional was coming. The build to all those details and how it mixed with the present day and their growing relationship was stellar. The drama, the emotion, the fun, the flirting, and the smoking hot sexy times were all exceptional. This had everything I love in a story!
