This was a cute book with pretty illustrations and a great story about kids with a snow globe who find that it’s magical and can make it snow inside. They’re hoping for a white Christmas but since it hasn’t snowed and Christmas is tomorrow, they’re excited to find that their new snow globe can give them all the happiness of snow on a Christmas Eve.

As they live where there is not snow, they start to wonder about all the things they could do with snow. A nice addition to Christmas collections

The Christmas Snow Globe is an ode to all of us who've ever wished for snow on Christmas and love a white Christmas. The two little kids in the story are just wishing and hoping for snow to fall to celebrate Christmas but with Christmas coming the next day time is running out. As one of the kids goes to sleep, she shakes a snow globe she opened as a Christmas eve present--and suddenly it starts to snow inside! She and her brother wake up and start to play with the snow inside with the joy of childhood. They build a snowman, throw snowballs, and make snow sundaes. The illustrations are charming and similar to Charlie Brown. Anyone who loves Christmas, particularly a white Christmas will love this one. I'd happily add it to my (six year old) son's Christmas book collection and I think it would make a good addition to any school or public library that serves elementary students (Pre-K to 3) who particularly enjoy Christmas stories. I also appreciated that this story was originally written in French and that could be a great language lesson to talk about with students -- or, if you teach French (at any level) it would be great to compare the original to this English version and consider the nuance and complexity of translation. Definitely recommend!

The illustrations in this book are beautiful! The story itself is pretty simple, but touches on themes of imagination and creative play. I wasn't expecting it to really start snowing at the end (which may have been the realist in me, as we haven't had a white Christmas where I live in years), but I think the story would've benefited from a different ending that reinforced the power of imagination.

Snow globes hold a special place in our Christmas traditions. I give one to our daughter every year. Even as young adult. she still insists on this one Christmas tradition to be honored.
The Christmas Snow Globe creates the loving feeling we have for snow globes through the story and beautiful illustrations. On Christmas Eve Lucy and Noah are saddened by the absence of snow. Papa gives them one early gift to open - a snow globe with their house inside! WIth just one shake, the magic begins.

The Christmas Snow Globe would be a lovely traditional Christmas read for families with children of all ages!

What a beautiful, fun Christmas Eve story! I loved the drawings and the imagination of this book,

The Christmas Snow Globe is a magical picture book that will enchant youngsters and parents alike. Lucy is dreaming of a white Christmas. This charming when Lucy and Noah are disappointed at the lack of snow, they open one present on Christmas eve-a snow globe. Lucy gives the snow globe one last shake before closing her eyes and soon she is surprised that it is snowing in the house. The lyrical writing and the adorable illustrations take the reader through an evening of snow time fun inside the house. the nostalgic graphite pencil illustrations have just a touch of color added with colored pencil and add a dreamy quality to the story. This book is a literary Christmas tree with five stars on top.

The illustrations completely wrap you in a warm and cozy feeling while you follow Lucy and Noah on their Christmas Eve adventures. The flow of the story adds to the cozy feelings, as one can relate to wishing for a "white Christmas."

The Christmas Snow Globe was magical. It made me immediately go back to that feeling of childhood wonder and magic. There was this almost nostalgic feeling within the story and in the illustrations with a timeless feel.

This story encourages children to use their imagination and believe in the magic of Christmas.

This story was magical, and consequently sprinkles a little extra magic into kids' lives. Further, this book will no doubt encourage kids to use their imaginations and continue to believe in the things that they make up. However, one thing I will say is the drawings were a little too drab for a book such as this. Adding some vibrant color, especially towards the end, would have helped readers feel more wonder and joy. That aside, everything else about this book was perfect! The plot was well-organized but I also didn't see the ending coming! I believe that, since it surprised me, it will also surprise young readers and this is awesome! It really adds to the entertainment and excitement value of the overall book. These qualities will likely make this a repeat-read. Lastly, the premise was creative and unique. Taking an ordinary thing (snow globe) and giving it a new quality (magic) is common, but the author breathed new life into this old(er) idea.
Bravo!

A quick and joyous read that celebrates the magic of Christmas and the power of the imagination. A great book for the Christmas season. This one left me smiling.

The Christmas Snowglobe has the most stunning illustrations! I was totally captured by the style of the illustration. The story was sweet, magical, and cozy. All of the important parts of a children’s Christmas/Holiday book. I plan to buy a copy of this so we can read it again and again.

Their dad lets them open a gift and it is a snow globe with a house that looks like theirs. In their bedroom, Lucy shakes the snow globe and magic happens. The two enjoy snow inside their home. Readers see all the fun they experience and are left to decide if it was a dream. And, of course, there is snow on Christmas morning.
A magical tale for younger readers. The artwork is done in muted tones but highly detailed.
