In the latest installment of the Narwhal and Jelly series, the author skillfully addresses two important topics for young readers: dental hygiene and emotional expression. These are critical concepts for children, and the author manages to present them in a way that is both engaging and informative. The balance between humor and education is masterfully maintained throughout the story, making it both enjoyable and enlightening for young readers.

This particular book marks my first experience with the Narwhal and Jelly series, and I must say I found it thoroughly delightful. The engaging storyline, lively characters, and well-paced narrative kept me entertained from beginning to end. I am confident that my daughter, when she is a little older, will enjoy it just as much as I did. In fact, I’m already looking forward to exploring the other books in this charming series in the future.

One of the things I particularly appreciated was how the story is broken up with fun facts, sidebars, and an additional short story, providing both entertainment and educational value. These elements are seamlessly integrated into the narrative, and though they break up the story at times, the pacing remains natural and appropriate for a children's book. This format ensures that the reader's attention remains engaged while also delivering important lessons in a digestible and enjoyable way.

The illustrations in this book are simple but incredibly effective. They capture the whimsical nature of the story while also complementing the tone of the book perfectly. While the art may not be overly intricate, it enhances the overall reading experience and brings the story to life in a way that young readers will undoubtedly appreciate.

I would like to express my gratitude to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It was an enjoyable read, and I look forward to diving deeper into the Narwhal and Jelly series in the future.

Narwhal and Jelly are back with a fun adventure, and the lighthearted humor that Ben Clanton always provides. Along the way, readers learn facts about real narwhals and jellyfish, and in this cute story, they also learn the importance of brushing and flossing. This was a cute story, and I know my boys will be excited to read it as well. It is perfect for readers transitioning to chapter books.

I recommend all of the Narwhal and Jelly books for all schools and libraries!

Another great addition to the Narwhal and Jelly series. My daughter (5) loves these books and I knew it was one we would definitely check out. She's already very good at brushing her teeth, so she knew right away when Narwhal wasn't doing it right. She was very interested in finding out Narwhal's horn was actually a tooth and where it would be on her face if she had one. She loved their visit to Crab and Narwhal's attempts at frowning, and Shark was a hit as well. She started to get upset with the result of Narwhal's horn, but was happy to know everything would turn out in the end. Narwhal is a great series with good messages and lessons, the tips on brushing were great and the additional information on the various sea animals was fun. As always the illustrations are adorable and the back and forth between Narwhal and Jelly are always fun. This is definitely a series we will continue with. We read this ebook through NetGalley.

My daughter and I were excited to get back to the world of jelly and narwhal. She loves that these are books she can read on her own or we can each take on a character. Narwhal’s Sweet Tooth is her new fave! I appreciated the reminders on good dental health too.

I hope Ben Clanton writes Narwhal & Kelly books for the next 100 years. I absolutely adore them. Even as an adult I was so worried about Narwhal's tusk, but it always ends well in the end. I can't wait to see how this affects the next book!

A big thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving us early access to this awesome kids book. My daughter loves Narwahl and jelly books. The arc was difficult to read due to the layout and had multiples of each page. But once we got through it we did enjoy the book. Love these characters and love the series. we plan on buying the physical book once it’s out.

We love all the Narwhal and Jelly books in our household. In this adventure, Narwhal's tooth is cracked and Jelly goes on a mission to both teach Narwhal to frown and be sad about it, and also get it fixed! Fun animal facts abound, misadventure happens as always, and there's a catchy 'brushing teeth' song that might help reluctant children with their oral hygeine ;-)

Everyone in my house loves Narwhal & Jelly. They are a great pair - carefree, vibrant Narwhal and quiet, steady Jelly. This is great for elementary age kids and preschoolers, and adults get a kick out of them too. There are nice lessons about friendship and social dynamics, and you may even learn a little bit about science.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. I purchased the series for my library.

We love Narwhal and Jelly in our house, and this newest book is SO cute! Narwhal's tusk is cracked and Jelly tries to help find a solution. Their adventure include some friends, lots of silliness, reminders about proper dental hygiene, and a sweet ending that encourages supporting friends and accepting yourself. I highly recommend this book and others in the series!

Thank you to Tundra Book Group for gifting me with an ARC to review! My kids (and I!) loved it.

Narwhal’s Sweet Tooth is such a fun read! Many kids will enjoy this simple but fun comic, which is also hilarious. I definitely laughed out loud a few times. It’s the first book I’ve read in the series, and I can’t wait to discover the rest.

Narwhal loves sweets, and really, who can blame him? But lately his horn has been bothering him, and Jelly thinks he might know why.

Ben Clanton's Narwhal and Jelly books are on repeat loan from the library in our house. Every single one has been a delight, and all my kids adore them. They're at the top of our recommendation list, so I had an inkling I would love Narwhal's Sweet Tooth. Clanton has done it once again; between Jelly trying to help Narwhal fix his horn, to attempting a frown, and of course the fun Narwhal facts, Narwhal's Sweet Tooth is sure to be another family favorite.

This is an ARC review. All opinions are mine, and I just adored this book.

So this was certainly a book. It reminds me of the pusheen books, honestly, but that’s mostly based on art style. My e-arc was also SUPER low quality and grainy, so it was hard to tell what was going on in even the simple panels sometimes because the text was near illegible. I don’t think this is the best book for dental hygiene for children, but I guess it passes well enough.

Overall a really cute read! At first I was confused by the flow of the book. It felt a little choppy. After reading a bit more I actually enjoyed the style. It was almost like reading an episode of a cartoon with little side episodes and then back to the main theme. It’s a struggle to find books that are entertaining for multiple different readers but I think this one hits the mark. It’s full of fun animal facts for nonfiction lovers and creative ideas and silliness for others. This would be great for educators or parents of kids in multiple age groups!

Another fun Narwhal and Jelly book to add to the collection! I loved this one and also love the random narwhal and jellyfish facts included too! I also enjoyed all the ways they tried to problem solve fixing Narwhal's broken tusk. I love how creative and engaging these books are, and this one continued that trend. I loved the "tooth ferry" boat - so punny. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this delightful book. All thoughts are my own.

Review from the 6 year old: “Pretty good. I like that it was sweet tooth.” She enjoyed the tooth as a food holder for donuts. Thought PRICKLEFOO was hysterical! She loved that she replaced her tooth with a lighthouse (and real working light). She wanted the horn to grow back.
4/5 stars from a 6 year old.

Review from mom:
The illustrations are always charming and makes the characters all lovable. Not going to lie, seeing the narwhal tooth broken gave me the heeby jeebees. Similar to how I would feel if I saw a compound fracture.

I also enjoyed the tooth as a donut holder and giggled at how narwal needed to swim upside down in order to make a smile.

Story runs as if a small child is telling it. Sometimes feels fractured with side stories involved throughout, but it makes it endearing that way.

Mom enjoyed it too.

This one was just okay. I get the idea of the book was to show the importance of brushing your teeth, but man, that was like the whole point of the book. My son read it in one setting, but said it was just okay and shrugged. I don’t know if it entertained him as much as the others. I did like the idea that Narwhal always had a good outlook and perspective. Although others would probably call it toxic positivity, I still think positivity even in the face of hardship is an important thing for kids to learn. It’s all about perspective.

In a similar style to Elephant and Piggie, this is a cute story of Narwhal and Jelly who help Narwhal as she has a tusk mishap.
