Cute book about a ghost made up of a quilt. He gets caught in a scary situation for a ghost and learns to be brave and finds out because he is a quilt he has great worth.

This is the cutest little book.
Anything ghostly is so nice for children because it teaches them acceptance, solidarity, and the importance of finding your place. This book and its illustrations did just that!! Thank you NetGalley 😊

This was such a cute graphic novel! I can’t wait for it to to be released so I can add to my collection. I loved the cute little story and the art. It made me feel warm inside.

A sweet story about a little ghost with an unforgettable difference. He learns that perhaps his difference isn’t the trouble he thought it was. Imaginative illustrations truly evoke the feeling of the tale.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

What a cute, heartwarming read. Great Halloween atmosphere. I loved the illustrations and how color was used to highlight the quilt of the Little Ghost. This is a story about wanting to be accepted for what you are inside instead of what’s on the outside. It’s a common concept among children’s books but The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt took a fresh and original approach to it. Great read for children while still being entertaining for adult reading it to them.

This was such a sweet and unique story! Instead of being made of a light, flowing sheet like other ghosts, the little ghost in this book is a quilt—heavy and different. The story beautifully explores themes of feeling out of place and learning to embrace what makes you special. The illustrations are lovely, and the message is heartwarming. A perfect read for kids and adults alike!

He's such a cute little guy!! I want a little quilt ghosty ghost friend! The message is also very sweet. I might pull this for an October storytime.

An adorable and heartfelt Halloween story that the whole family can enjoy!
The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt takes us on a journey of self discovery, purpose, and belonging and why being unique and special is so beautiful in our own ways.
The illustration of the book was beautiful.
We thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait to read other Litlle Ghost books.

The sweetest little book about a ghost that doesn't quite fit in. Loved how the ghost tried different ways to connect to someone and the adventures it went on! Would make an excellent book for teachers and librarians alike to include in their curriculum.

This is one of my favorite children's books ever. The cozy vibes of this book, the gorgeous illustrations, the sweet little ghost (who is a beautiful quilt!)... ugh, I cannot get enough! I would recommend this book for a year-round read, not just for Halloween, although it would add some serious beauty to a spooky shelf in October!

A cute story about how being different isn't a bad thing. I would have preferred a more fleshed out ending, rather than the adventure ends and his peers now seem interested. The reasons for accepting him were not as detailed as the rest of the story.
I would enjoy reading more stories about this little ghost.

This book is absolutely adorable. I hope that if a ghost haunts my house it is one who is a quilt. A fantastic hallowe'en read.

The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt is a captivating, thought-provoking book that encourages readers to see beyond the surface and recognize that the things that make us feel different or broken are often the very things that give us strength and beauty. Through the quiet wisdom of a ghostly quilt, the story teaches us that difference is not something to fear or hide from — it is something to celebrate.

This was a very sweet book! Another good story about how our differences can make us special and unique. I loved the art style, very detailed but simple and peaceful. I always love a Halloween story and this is a great addition.

The title is self-explanatory: this little ghost, instead of a white sheet like most ghosts, was a quilt. But the point of this story is how to make peace with our difference, our uniqueness. It was heartwarming, a little sad but cute. I liked it.

I loved the illustrations in this book, they were so cute and well done. I read this to my three and four year-old and they thought it was a fun book. If you enjoy the fall, and Halloween, and cute little ghosts, then this is a book for you and your family.

Thank you to Riel Nason, Penguin Random House Canada and NetGalley for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. This was such a sweet story about a little quilt ghost who finds happiness in learning to accept himself even though he is quite different from the other ghosts in his life. We are exposed to themes such as self acceptance, as well as family trees and genetic traits in an easy to understand format for small children. This book would be a welcome addition to so many various types of families to build a home library full of diversity and self acceptance! The illustrations by Byron Eggenscwiller were incredible! They reminded me of the illustrations I would see in books I read as a child (back in the “olden days of the 1980’s lol). I loved the ghost was the most colourful part of each picture which really will help the reader focus on the story at hand as well as learn to appreciate more simple complexities of this form of art work.

A charming book about the benefits of being unique. The illustrations are cute, with a minimal palette that keeps them unified and elegant as well. The story itself is sweet without being saccharine, and relatable for anyone.

Thanks NetGalley and Tundra Book Group for this arc!
5/5 cozy stars
This was a really cute and uplifting little storybook! I love the message, and the art is really beautiful. And the fact that this book about a little quilt was written by a quilter is just the icing on the cake! Absolutely lovely

What a cute and adorable story! My six-year-old loved it and I loved the message (It‘s okay to be different!) and the illustrations the most. Adorable and will definitely be read more than once in our house.
