I’m at a loss here, because I do not understand the average rating for this book, or the amount of 4 and 5 star reviews. Did we read the same thing? Because I tried with this, and it was painful. It’s such a disappointment too because starting with the idea of bad boy and rock star, who doesn’t want to read it? I love those tropes. But WOW. First chapter in and I knew this was going to be a mistake, but I powered through.
My most glaring issue here were the characters and how they were portrayed. I’m sorry but people in their twenties and thirties? They acted and spoke like they were 14/15 years old and in highschool. Has anyone involved with this actually aged past 20 years old? Or watched any sort of pop culture beyond late 90s/early 2000s teen dramas? Riley here sounds like an absolute airhead and like she would be exhausting to be around. And Jax I’m not sure what the appeal is other than he’s hot and a “Siren”, making women orgasm with just his voice. But he’s hot because he has leather pants on.
Don’t even get me started on the horseback riding scenes and inaccuracies. This felt like no one cared to actually consider what was being written or how the scene played out. As long as it made sense in their head, it didn’t need to on paper. Because I’m telling you, those did not make sense. Don’t write about things you don’t know. Or use some common sense.
This one could not be redeemed for me. It was poorly written, had one dimensional and annoying MCs, miscommunication galore, and an embarrassing portrayal of “adult characters”. It was absolutely absurd from start to finish, with no chemistry in between. I haven’t used TSTL in many reviews but it feels applicable with these two. It’s safe to say I will not be continuing.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.
This has been on my TBR pile for so long, and I'm glad I finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the storyline and seeing the characters change throughout the story was a great character development. The plot was great and kept my attention. I'm glad I got the chance to read this and will be on the lookout for more in the future!
This book wasn't terrible. I am not a huge fan of romance anymore but it was ok. I didn't realize it was part of a series though and only read this one and Wrecked so it was completely out of order.

Oh my goodness, why has this book been sitting on my kindle for so long? I am seriously kicking myself right now, the book was so captivating and gripping that i could hardly put it down.
Jax is the front singer in a band called The Hitchcocks and we first see him mentioned as the band called The Cocks.
Riley is an accountant that likes to live on the edge a little, especially as she was so hurt by a former boyfriend who almost destroyed her. Seeing Jax has her so captivated by hum and the chemistry between them, but after leaving him with blue balls never expects to see him again.
When her firm sends her to work with a band for two weeks on the road and to make them cut costs, she does not realise the the HC stands for the Hitchcocks, until Jax carries her onboard the extravagant bus after an altercation outside.
Both characters tease each other and on up each other until there is nothing else for it but get even closer together.
The bandmates are mostly on the outskirts of the story, with Sky being the closest to Jax otherwise as a kind of sister like figure.
The book ends on a cliff hanger so i was glad that i could immediately get the second book to their story.
This book was too over the top for me and I didn't care for the characters that much, which made it hard to get into the story and finish this book.

Thank you Priscilla West for the opportunity to read your book. This was an enjoyable read. I am trying to cut down my NetGalley tbr list. I thought the story was well-written and cute. I liked both Jax and Riley. Jax is the rocker that has some secrets that he wants to hide, and Riley is the accountant that tries to resist her attraction to Jax, while trying to figure out if she is enough. I thought the romance was sweet, and I thought that their chemistry was great. It was a nice way to see how they fell in love. I want to read more books by Priscilla West. Overall, a great read.
I'm not quite sure how to review this one or bring added value to the already existing reviews... So I'll just say: it was okay. I was sooooo excited when I saw it was a rockstar romance, because it's a new found love of mine. But after reading the book, I feel this mild disappointment. Can't quite pinpoint it, except I expected more. Maybe part two will meet those expectations? But honestly, I'm not sure I'll even read part two. I just didn't feel a connection to the characters. Didn't like Jax, not when he was an asshole and not when he went out of his way to be nice to Riley. However, I did kind of like Riley. I loved her fierceness, even though she broke down after moment X (no spoilers, right?), she still stood up for herself during it. And afterwards with Jax too. So I respected and liked that about her. Anyway, to cut this short: I'm putting this one in either the 'not for me' or 'not the right moment' pile.
Bad boys covered in tattoos *insert drool here*
I have never read a rock romance before but there is a first for everything.
What incredible pacing with some incredible suprises along the way.
Riley is out with a friend listening to a band when she becomes infatuated with the main singer.
Their eyes lock and of course that sets the motion to all that follows.
An invite to backstage (a fantasy we all dream that would happen am I right?)
Except a cocky attitude is enough to put anyone off.
Fast forward to days later and she is the new accountant for said band and will go on tour with them.
On tour and being courted by a sexy tattooed rockstar that Riley constantly pushes away, phew I have never been more frustrated....until of course she gives up and falls...hard.
Oh my this rollercoaster has left me on an edge and I want more!!!!
I did not finish this book. While I appreciate the offer to have the novel., I have stopped reading any romance novels that stray more into erotica.
Unputdownable... a very racy and fast-paced read. If you're into heady romances then this one is for you.
Absolutely loved this! Who doesn’t love a rocker with a silky voice. Just the right amount of steamy

Who doesn't love a rock star that can wet your panties by his voice? Jax, the leader of "The Hitchcocks", has looks, talent, and demons of his own.
Riley Hewitt an accountant by day, reckless by night, one who is always looking for a bad boy finds one when she goes to a local bar with her friend Jen. She finds herself under a Jax spell.
Hans-Peterson needed Riley to travel for an urgent last-minute assignment. Palmer, her manager, gives her the details regarding this assignment. She is going on the road as a tour accountant with the HC band. She knows the rules of the firm, no mixing business with pleasure. We all know that we want what we cannot have, that being said we have to wait until Reckless #2 comes out to find out what happens in the end. Excellent read.
I guess sometimes no matter what you do, or how much you try, it's just not working. That's how i felt about this book. I tried so hard to like the plot and the characters but i just couldn't connect with neither.
This was a fun and wild ride! I came into this book with absolutely no expectations and was pleasantly surprised! The book centers on a rock band, and not only did I devour this book but also devoured the series. I loved it so much that I purchased the remainder of the books on my own!
I AM SO EMBARRASSED ... JUST NOW FINDING THIS ONE ON MY KINDLE/AMAZON. WAS NEVER READ SO NO REVIEW COMING AT THIS LATE DATE. MY SINCERE APOLOGIES.
I have fallen in love with everything Priscilla West! Her stories are captivating and her writing is flawless!
I won't be reviewing this title because I no longer have an interest in this author.
These books are like crack. it's great. Sure, they're dramatic and sometimes a little drawn out, but at the end of the day, I'm still reading them!
The struggle of communicating without the other person misinterpreting, of pushing down walls and letting someone in. Of showing your real feelings. That's what you will encounter in this story. She is interested in a bad boy, the last guy she should like but he makes her feel alive. They are both stubborn but that makes for a very fun read.
I was not able to finish reading this story so I am declining the opportunity to review. Sorry for the inconvenience
