My Kindle tells me I've read this before, but apparently I forgot to write a review. I didn't remember reading it, so I re-read it.
Skylar and Gage are hot, and Skylar thinks she only wants one night. That one night stretches into more. Gage finally opens up to her, and they have a HEA.
Now his friends, everyone knows exactly why Reed doesn't "like" AJ's girl. Everyone meaning us, the readers
One thing I’ve come to expect from author Elle Kennedy is scorching hot love scenes and One Night of Sin has them in spades. This is one hot and sexy book but in addition there are some really great characters as well as an entertaining story. So grab a cold drink or your significant other because you’ll need one or both while reading the latest from this author!
I love chance meeting stories and this is a perfect example. A young lady is at a nightclub with a date and finds she can’t keep her eye off of one of the employees, the thing is he notices her as well and has decided she isn’t for him; too young, too sweet and too innocent. While that may be her usual MO around him she is anything but and the sparks fly the minute they touch.
Gage is an ex-MMA fighter or he was until his brother got into some trouble and now he’s fighting again to pay off his brother’s debt. He doesn’t want it and he doesn’t need it anymore now that he’s opened up the nightclub Sin with his two friends. He also doesn’t want a woman in his life but for some reason the minute he meets Skyler all of his convictions seem to fly out the window. Skyler was just as confused; she doesn’t do casual sex but she can’t seem to keep her body and mind from wanting Gage and she aims to get what she wants. These two are just so combustible when they are close and their attraction leaps off the page. They embark on a “sex only” type relationship but it becomes more fairly quickly and I kind of enjoyed watching Gage’s reaction to it. He ran scared but Skyler didn’t let him get away with it and it was kind of funny seeing this big, bad fighter brought to his knees by her.
While a novella, I still got a good feel for the characters and their backgrounds not to mention that although their initial arrangement was based on lust it soon became evident there was more to them than just sex. Would I have loved a longer story about them, absolutely but that’s me being greedy because there was enough here to answer my questions and satisfy my need for background.
I’ve been reading this author for many years and she never disappoints. A full out sexy romp that turns into more makes One Night of Sin pretty damn delicious!
