As you may guess by the title and book description, this is a romance that is HEAVY on the pregnancy theme, so if you aren’t into descriptions of how she feels in her changing body and the associated smut, I’d recommend skipping this one.
Overall, the story was okay. I liked Trista’s dedication to animals and that Wyatt just allowed her to grow a farm over the course of a few months. Otherwise though, this wasn’t really my jam. I get the allure for some folks on the overprotective grumpy dad but Wyatt kind of annoyed me a bit. I also didn’t love the author’s writing style personally, I felt like there were times where some more creative descriptors could be used (like she talks about the ink among the ink in a tattoo, which I didn’t totally understand). Either way, for me I think I’ll pass on the rest of the series.
Thanks to NetGalley and Canary Street Press for the advanced reader copy in exchange for my review.

what an absolute joy to read this book. I loved the plot.
Give me grumpy mountain man and a sunshine of a gal who keeps showing up with animals?
The surrogate story line was so freaking cute, the set up of all the brothers for more books in the series.
The flow of the story, the banter, the spice, the humor, all of it, chef's kiss.
I couldn't put this book down, I kept smiling, and routing for Wyatt and Everly the entire time.

📝Synopsis 📝
Wyatt is looking for a surrogate to have his baby but has had no luck. He finally agrees to the 13th candidate and if you’re a Swiftie you know that’s the lucky number. Only thing is Trista number 13 was raised by two parents who didn’t really want to be parents, so she clearly has issues and doesn’t want to personally have kids. Mr. Wyatt is also convinced he wants to be a single dad, but they start having feelings for each other.
💭My Thoughts 💭
Oh My Goodness this was such a fun and fresh read. I read this book in 2 days and if it wasn’t because I have to adult and work I would have probably finished it in a day. It was hilarious yet spicy. It also had so many references for us Swifties🫶🏻 Anyways, the plot was good, and I just absolutely loved all the characters…especially the brothers and can’t wait to read about them. I also loved that Robin was not an active part of the plot😆
I loved that the main character was a curvy girl, and he was all about the Gordita love.

This book is delightful! The characters are perfect and their resistance to a relationship in their own ways is realistic but there is a wonderful whimsical nature to the story as well. Amy Daws has created a plus size FMC full of sassy and sex appeal which is desperately needed in this world! I absolutely love the animal counter and it had me dying at how much of a simp this man was for her!

This was my first Amy Daws book and I absolutely loved. It had great plot, great romance, great characters, great comedy without sacrificing the emotional aspect. The entertainment factor was a solid 10/10.
I can't wait to dive into more Amy Daws books and can't wait to get more stories in this series.
The audiobook was so well done. The narrators (Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton) really knocked it out of the park with the duet narration.

This was a much anticipated read for me through social media posts by bookstagrammers as well as Amy Daws herself.
IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!
I loved it so much that half way through I ended up purchasing the audio book because I needed to hear Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon portray these beautifully written characters.
Trista is a fierce FMC and I loved everything about her. Amy’s ability to allow the reader to connect with her, even if you have never been through these experiences is what makes this such a wonderfully written story.
And Wyatt! Yes! Yes! Yes! Every bit possessive, sexy mountain man! I could not get enough.
Their love story is not traditional and yet so relatable. Two people, traveling on different paths end up finding what they needed in each other.
I smiled throughout the whole book and could not stop reading. I listened every chance I had. This will for sure be on a re-read list and a highly recommended short list!
Overall: the characters were fantastic, relatable, sexy and fun; the spice was spicy; and the HEA was everything I needed.

OMG!😳 The prologue in Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws is hilarious and sets the tone for a delightful mountain small town, grumpy/sunshine, found family rom-com that readers will adore. I was thrilled when I heard about this book's release, as I was hoping for appearances from beloved characters Everly, Cozy, and Max from Last on the List. Even if you haven't read their story, you can still enjoy this first book in The Fletcher Brothers' series.
Wyatt, the reclusive and grumpy yet sweet baby daddy, is a masterfully crafted character. He's the kind of man that everyone needs in their life, especially Trista, who has struggled with abandonment issues her entire life. After her family left her before she turned sixteen, Trista only trusts the animals in her life. She decides to become a surrogate to fulfill her dream of starting an animal rescue and the money she needs to make it a reality. In her quest to help her uncle find the perfect surrogate and his soulmate, Everly, Wyatt's spirited niece, stumbles upon Trista outside of the infertility clinic. Unfortunately, Trista had just been turned away due to her body type and weight and her inexperience with pregnancy, which didn't meet the clinic's standards. Interestingly, it was the same clinic that had previously rejected Wyatt after he had interviewed a dozen of their potential surrogates. Determined to help Wyatt and Trista, Everly quickly arranged an interview for them to meet. As Wyatt and Trista sat down to discuss their surrogacy goals, it was quickly evident that they were on the same page. They drew up a detailed nine-month contract to ensure that everything went smoothly which includes Trista living in an apartment above his barn.
However, as they spent more time together, they couldn't ignore the intense chemistry between them. Despite their differences, they began to share their secrets and soon decided to bend the rules of their contract to include a "friends with benefits" arrangement. As they say, opposites attract, and in this case, it was no exception. Trista brings a menagerie to their reclusive mountain because there is nowhere for them to go. Even though Wyatt grumbles, he is quickly accepting and even enjoying his new barn guests. Wyatt's trust issues and his strained relationship with his brothers made it difficult for him to fully open up to Trista. He was afraid of getting hurt again and had a hard time trusting others. Meanwhile, Trista had a challenging childhood that had taught her to rely only on herself and never depend on anyone else. However, as they spent more time together and shared their struggles, they began to understand and support each other. With patience and perseverance, they work through their individual challenges and grew closer, eventually finding a deep and meaningful connection that might lead to a HEA!! Make sure you have tissues available because some of their thoughts and conversations are heart wrenching.
One of the things that made the story so engaging was the clever banter between Trista and Wyatt, as well as between Wyatt and his brother. Amy Daws has a talent for crafting witty and entertaining dialogue that brings the characters to life. The supporting characters added depth and complexity to the story, making it even more enjoyable. I’m eagerly awaiting the next book featuring Calder and can't wait to see what Amy Daws has in store for him next. With her talent for creating relatable and entertaining characters, it's sure to be another hit. Overall, this book is a must-read for anyone who wants to laugh, fall in love with unforgettable characters, and enjoy a heartwarming story.
Thank you Amy Daws, NetGalley, Canary Press and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ebook ARC!! All honest opinions are my own.

I’m just starting to get into some of the more cozy books and this had a blend of smut and cozy that kept me intrigued. I loved the opposites attract from the main characters and the family dynamics you got to experience. It was a constant push and pull throughout the book and that’s why I decided on 4 stars. While it didn’t have me completely hooked it was one I was still happy to finish. Thank you to NetGalley and harlequin trade publishing for the arc. This is my honest opinion

Y’all know I love a grumpy man AND when pregnancy is involved in a book, so of course I had to read this one! It was so good! I was not only crying, but laughing as well. This is a sweet, spicy, romcom that I highly recommend ❤️🔥
Tropes:
- pregnancy (surrogacy)
- romcom
- grumpy x sunshine
- forced proximity
- plus size fmc

Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws is an irresistibly fun and heartwarming romantic comedy that blends quirky humor with sizzling chemistry. The story follows grumpy mountain man Cash, who, after deciding to become a single father, posts a hilariously awkward “help wanted” ad for a surrogate. His brothers may have pushed him into this decision, but they inadvertently set him on a path toward Trista, a spunky, opinionated woman who’s as wild as she is perfect for the job.
From the moment Trista arrives, Cash's life is thrown into chaos. She’s everything he never knew he needed—energetic, grounded, and unexpectedly charming. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and as they embark on the unorthodox journey of home insemination, the line between business and pleasure begins to blur. Cash, a man of few words and even fewer emotions, is forced to confront the feelings he's developing for Trista, and the two must navigate their growing attraction while trying to keep things professional.
Amy Daws' writing is witty, engaging, and filled with laugh-out-loud moments. Cash and Trista’s banter is a highlight, and the chemistry between them is electric. The quirky mountain setting adds an extra layer of charm, and the supporting characters, particularly Cash’s nosy brothers, provide both comedic relief and emotional depth.
Nine Month Contract is an entertaining read for fans of enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity tropes, with a healthy dose of humor and heart. It's a story about unexpected love, self-discovery, and the beautiful chaos that can come from the most unlikely of circumstances. If you're looking for a sweet, steamy, and laugh-out-loud rom-com, this book is a must-read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5 stars)
Amy Daws delivers a fun, steamy, and emotional romance with The Nine-Month Contract. The premise immediately hooked me—fake relationships, surrogacy, and undeniable chemistry all rolled into one!
The characters had great banter, and their connection felt natural, with plenty of swoon-worthy and heartfelt moments. I appreciated how Daws balanced the lighter, playful aspects with deeper emotional beats, making the romance feel authentic. While I loved the dynamic between the leads, I felt that some conflicts could have been explored a bit more to add extra emotional depth.
Overall, this was an engaging and enjoyable read that kept me turning the pages. Perfect for fans of fake-dating and emotional slow-burn romance! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

I truly enjoyed this novel; the characters were well-developed, and the engaging plot made it a great read.

I recently started this book, but after some oddly placed comments sexualizing children, I was unable to continue reading this book. I thought the idea of it was really cute, but the execution fell way off the track for me. I appreciate the opportunity to read this book, but this book was not for me.

I loved this book so much! I laughed out loud, felt all the feelings and couldn’t put it down! This is my first book I’ve read with a surrogate troupe and I loved everything about it!
Top this off with Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon in duet narration! Perfection!

A not so accidentally pregnant surrogate will unexpectedly fall in love with a mountain man. A contract is the only thing preventing two people from falling in love. Will Wyatt and Trista discover they both desire the same thing but the only obstacle is admitting the truth. Will they ignore family expectations and pursue their own dreams to finally have what they really want?
A smokin' hot sexy romance that proves love conquers all.
From the character arcs to the fun, quirky, and at times emotionally tugging plot arc this is a series that I can't wait to read more of.
.

I read this ad an indie book, and have been looking forward to the bonus content and the new cover and edges. This did NOT disappoint.
The way that surrogacy is handled with respect and humor at the same time is such a wonderful blend. I love all of the characters, and can't wait to read more.
Who doesn't love a meddling niece and gorgeous mountain men brothers?
The body positivity is also nice as a curvy woman who underwent fertility treatments.
I highly recommend this book to everyone.

I had a lot of fun watching Wyatt and Trista navigate their pregnancy and deal with the growing tension. The added animals were also fun! This was super spicy and had some emotional moments I had a blast.

I was so excited for this book. I love reading about new relationships, babies, surrogacy, tough guys that are actually sensitive deep down.. you get the idea. This books started off ok, but I never really started to like the characters. Then, just as the romantic love started, the author skipped over anything that could be sweet and enjoyable, and fast forwarded the relationship, then ended the book. I was disappointed that I couldn’t actually enjoy some of the romance. The book was very spicy, so that was a plus. Overall though, I just didn’t love it.

I really enjoyed this! Trista was so funny and relatable (except calling herself a cow??) The side characters were also so well thought out and fun (Evie being my favorite). I can’t wait for the rest of the books in this series!

I had to dnf it at 5%. I just couldn't cope.
So the author gives an author's note about being very mindful about surogate etc she wrote in this book nd in the first chapter she has an 18-year-old girl being the mastermind behind finding her uncle a surrogate?
Are you kidding me?
Not to mention the very misogynistic, degrading, and a horrible ad she apparently wrote on behalf of MMC who knew nothing about it.
Absolutely not.
