This book is not at all what I was expecting in the best way possible. It was romantic, yes, but also so deep and so mind blowing in its own way. I enjoyed it very much. A beautiful unique concept with some amazing characters.

This book has a really original and fun premise. It gives these fun vibes but it actually has a lot of depth and emotion to it. It makes you think about things in an interesting way while also being packed into a fantasy/sci-fi package. I will say, this is not a book that you can autopilot your way through. It makes you think about both the plot and the underlying messages as you read. It is an interesting concept.

unfortunately this was a dnf for me. the writing style originally was hard to get into but once i got into 22% of the book a random pov from a side character we’ve only met once and the chapter was so absolutely random it made it hard to continue. When I was already struggling with the writing. The story line felt like it could be great but the characters are hard to immerse with.

Truth be told, I went into this book thinking it was a cute rom-com based on the blurb and the gorgeous cover, but what I got was so much more. Though, there is a part of me that still mourns for what I thought this book was going to be. I am in love with what I did read. This book felt like a love letter to the 'star-crossed lovers' trope. It was beautifully written in a way that reminded me of when I read "The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue" by V.E. Schwab.
This story is something deeply emotional and thought-provoking. It made me feel things. It made me hurt in the best way. As soon as I finished it, I had to the urge to re-read it immediately.
The closest comparison I want to make is this book plays out like a Doctor Who episode honestly. There is this "timey wimey' feel to the story, but it makes sure to let you know choices ripple across realities, where love can defy all logic. If you love stories where time itself isn’t linear but deeply personal, this book will absolutely resonate with you.
The writing and the characters reminded me of Emily Henry's books, where the characters feel so real. The relationships (both romantic and platonic) are deeply layered and deeply felt. And on a side note, I desperately want Tressa Fay to cut my hair. And I want a defining love that her and her friend group have for each other.
This book changed me in ways I didn’t even realize until I sat with it for a while.

The plot and concept of this story was super interesting to me, weaving together elements of time travel, parallel universes, and the idea of soulmate that you're fighting through the parallel universes to save. The idea of yearning, and fighting for that connection really drew me into the story.

However, despite the fascinating concept, I found myself struggling to connect with the characters and their journey. While the multiverse aspect offered plenty of potential for tension and excitement, I didn't quite feel emotionally invested in the outcome. I was curious to see how everything would unfold, but didn't feel the connection between the two main characters as much as I wanted to.

The story had its moments of intrigue, and the premise was unique, but in the end, I was left feeling somewhat detached from the narrative. It's an interesting read for those who enjoy speculative fiction and love the concept of alternate realities, but for me, the emotional depth I was hoping for just didn’t quite land.

what…did i just read? i am going to be completely honest i had NO idea that this was what i was getting myself into purely based on the title and cover (i don’t typically read the blurb, is this my fatal flaw? 😭) i thought it would be more romantic/romance forward and while there were love stories, this was definitely an…interesting concept (i can’t say too much spoilery stuff here. unless it’s in the blurb again 🤦🏻‍♀️)

This was a very different book than I was expecting! It's so warm and heartfelt, and the plot veered off from the usual and became something so much more.

My one complaint: polyamory is not monogamy-plus! It's not just made of groups of three people who act like couples!
