Information that can help many. I help clients with body shaming and I could use some of these pages to aid them. I also learned a few new techniques and information
I don't give nonfiction star ratings because unless its just inaccurate information I do not deem it necessary. This book has great information in it and I do really think that it will help people. I however do not think the writing will be for everyone because there definitely are times where I felt like it was written as if you were talking to a child and it felt a little odd but otherwise it was great and had wonderful information that will help loads of people (netgalley requires us to give a star rating which is the only reason this has a star rating)
I ended up enjoying this book so much! I am left feeling like this book really touched me in a way where I see this topic in a different light now. I think that the case studies/scenarios were really helpful in terms of understanding the topic the author was talking about. It is a pretty quick read, but so light hearted for such a deep conversation. The author offers insight, questions, and breaks so that you can truly understand these topic.
I think this book should be picked up by people who are struggling with this. You might just learn something new about yourself.
thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this e-ARC.
This book was pretty good. I do like that it included real stories of people and their own experiences. I think it was easy to read, kept me entertained, but it is not like a full on guide, just like references to refer to.
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!
Lots of the same old/same old until you get to the case studies, which are actually pretty interesting.

This book is different from other books I've read about dieting. "Solve Your Out-of-Control Eating" gives specific examples of people whose childhood/adolescent issues caused them to have significant issues as adults with food, and eating. Through reading their story details, I was able to connect and even realize for the first time, how much some unhealthiness in my family dynamic influenced my disordered eating. There are no diet plans or calorie lists here, just stories and gentle reminders throughout to take care of yourself even during the reading. This book is a helpful treasure. Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for the ARC. Pub Date: August 22, 2024.
