This retelling of Humpty Dumpty's tale is effective both visually and aesthetically. Its inclusion of additional nursery rhyme characters was fantastic. However, the intended age group may find the storytelling a little disconnected and the transitions between pages a bit confusing.
Josh Cleland's stunning and colorful illustrations are what really make this book stand out. Overall, these incredibly charming illustrations perfectly convey the colorful fall theme.

Humpty's Great Fall missed the mark for my 4 year old son and I. The illustrations were cute, but the story line seemed very random and disorganized. I understand the lightheartedness the author was targeting with Humpty suddenly remembering additional tasks, but the execution didn't seem to flow the best. We loved the parts that rhymed and it added a fun cadence to the reading, but it didn't last throughout the book. After teasing Humpty's fall so many times, my son actually laughed out loud at the very end.

This was really cute and I loved how it incorporated all the little nursery rhymes into the story as well! It definitely made me miss the autumn season and I think it is the perfect children’s story to keep them guessing on what may come next in the story. It’s engaging and fun and most important of all it’s silly which makes it perfect reading material for children to enjoy!

I received an electronic ARC from Two Lions from NetGalley.
A terrific read aloud and a delightful book for younger readers. I appreciate the suspense points and can see readers having fun guessing before turning the page each time. This reconstruction of Humpty's story works well visually and as a story.

My daughter and I felt the book was a bit cumbersome to read.
The story synopsis is moderate and a simpler wording would have been better.
The illustrations was fine.

Oh my gosh this was so funny. I actually laughed out loud a couple of times.
This was very cute and sweet. I loved that it had other nursery rhyme characters.
This would be great as a read aloud in a young elementary classroom to introduce an activity for writing about your fall traditions! I might have to grab this for some teacher friends.

I read this with my 4 year old daughter who is familiar with the original adaptation. She would yell “fall!!” whenever we were set up with “Humpty Dumpty had a great…..” and he sat there with wide eyes every time; giving us the impression that he was about to indeed fall. But then the next page didn’t finish the sentence like we expected— It just carried on with a different scene. The storyline seemed very disjointed and didn’t transition well from one page to another. I get what the author was trying to do here and appreciate the nods to original nursery rhymes. The ending was cute and cheeky. However, the delivery missed the marked for us: The illustrations were bright, detailed, and captivating.

Delightful festive read with familiar faces from other fairy tales. Glad I picked it up, it had a fun rhythm to it that culminated in a very fun/satisfying finale. I could see my kids asking to reread this over and over. Cheerful, fun, and cute vibrant art.

Cute book with a nice play on words and I liked how there were lots of other children's nursery rhyme characters popping up

This picture book is great for the fall and young readers will love this story! I can't wait to purchase this for our school library. The story was funny, but cozy and cute at the same time.

A bright and cheerful book, though a bit overwhelming for young readers with its abundance of details and plot twists. The illustrations are lively, but the storytelling might feel a bit too packed for the intended age group.
However, I absolutely loved the clever wordplay—did Humpty Dumpty have a great fall as in a big tumble, or was it actually a wonderful autumn season? A fun twist on a classic tale!

This one was absolutely ADORABLE!!!
As a homeschool parent I can absolutely see how this book would be so fun to incorporate when we are learning about the fall! It could easily be applied when we are talking about the leaves changing colors and why that happens every year. We could incorporate it when we talk about traditions and what they look like for different people.
This book would be a fun way to remember to enjoy the season you’re in by giving lots of great concrete ways to celebrate in the fall. (Apple picking, baking, apple cider, playing in the leaves, etc.)
I also love that this gave an alternate way to understand Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. So precious! Wonderful book and really delightful illustrations!

“Humpty’s Great Fall,” written by Amy Moore and illustrated by Josh Cleland, is a delightful and super cute take on the classic nursery rhyme. The story follows Humpty Dumpty as he realizes he’s forgotten something on a crisp autumn day while relaxing on his wall. As he journeys around the neighborhood, Humpty sees his friends enjoying the fall weather and starts to get clues about what he is missing. The vibrant illustrations capture the fun and warmth of the story and bring the tale to life. Overall, “Humpty’s Great Fall” offers a new twist on an old tale. 4.5 stars.

This picture book was hilariously cute and suspenseful Humpty Dumpty sits on his wall, and keeps remembering things he's supposed to be doing. It was so much fun watching his adventures with his nursery rhyme friends.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this..

Five stars. This author reimagined Humpty Dumpty in such a creative way. We meet Humpty, friends Jack and Jill, Little Miss Moffett, etc. And he has a great fall, but he doesn’t crack. The way the author integrates the other nursery rhyme characters and changes up the story works so well. Plus the illustrations are sublime. They are a perfect match to this fun fall book.

This is such a cute spin on Humpty! Fall is always such a good time of year. Time to be cozy, and have all the yummy treats. I loved how we got to see other fairytale friends throughout the book! The art was absolutely adorable and gave me the Fall vibes it was intended to give!

What a fun twist on a classic tale ! This story was a wonderful read and I plan to purchase it for my kiddos ❤️ The art style was refreshing and the messages were great. I look forward to more stories by this author 😁
