I really like how the creators of this book decided to breathe new life into a classic lullaby! I also enjoyed how the author added a lot of surprise and excitement to this story. They really keep the reader guessing from beginning to end. One notable way the author did this was with a clear pattern. Every activity was set up the same, and it allowed readers to catch on a little bit, but still be engaged and caught off guard (in a good way). The author also made Humpty's story genuinely fun and joyful, rather than sad and hopeless like the original story. Lastly, I want to give credit where credit is due to the illustrator. The drawings showed a lot of life and emotion, mainly through color. The illustrator did a spectacular job of taking autumn's color palette and allowing it to shine through on every page. This keeps the pictures on-brand with the writing/idea, which is awesome.

Super cute and charming book about all the fun fall activities Humpty Dumpty gets into with his nursery rhyme friends.
This could be a great book for a circle read aloud. The art is very cute and engaging. The repetition and the anticipation to hear “great fall” could make it a very fun book for young children, I can picture my class now giggling when I turn the page and it doesn’t say “great fall!”. I like the references to other nursery rhymes and all the fun things my students might do in the fall. I would want to give extra time for students to have share time, ie: “I go apple picking too!”

I thought that Humpty's Great Fall was a fun read with a great twist on the normal story!

It was well written, held my daughter's attention throughout and she liked guessing what was coming next. The story was easy to follow and understand, and it was an enjoyable read.

I thought that the illustrations were cute and worked well with the story and it was a nice touch to see so many other characters from well loved nursery rhymes in the book too.

It is 4.5 stars from me for this one, rounded up to 5 stars for Goodreads and Amazon - highly recommended!

Humpty's Great Fall is not about what you probably expect. Aren't homonyms cool? We see Humpty participate in various fall (the season) activities and have all sorts of fun. The illustrations are colorful and cute and my kiddos laughed when they realized what was actually going on. This is a great fall book and brief enough to be good bedtime pick.

This is a very cute Fall book for kids. My son loves Humpty Dumpty and enjoyed this book. The illustrations were beautiful too.
