The Dukes Gaurd book eleven is a beautifully written and very engaging love story. It tells of kidnappings, daring rescues, an evil threat, plots and schemes, an angel of the night, a protector, a marriage, revenge, and so many more emotional issues that kept me entertained. I enjoyed their relationship and the beautiful romance that overcame and endured everything for them to find happiness. I highly recommend reading!

Michaela finally gets her love story! Her good work saving women from the streets finally gets her noticed by a very bad man. O’Malley knows how he feels about Michaela. He now has a reason to tell her. The two of them work together with the rest of the Duke’s men to save Micheala and stop a terrible man.

This is a good story about a woman wronged by society finding her place. I like Micheala. She is strong and resilient. I like how the author deals with Michaela’s background. It created reasons for Michaela’s actions and a chance for O’Malley to truly be her savior and safe place to land. I was rooting for her to find true happiness. O’Malley has known for a while that he loves Micheala but now he is confronted with his worst fear. I felt bad for him when he realized she had been taken by a dangerous man. His relationship with his family and the rest of the Duke’s men is really nice.

As always, trouble follows the men in the service of the duke! This story takes place in London in the 1800’s. It is part of a bigger series. You can read them stand alone. I enjoy reading the series in order. I will definitely read more from this author in the future.

I have been looking forward to Emmett's story and was not disappointed. I could not put the book down from the moment I picked it up until I turned the last page. Though as tough on the outside as his brothers and cousins, his caring heart makes him an excellent healer. Several books ago, he met Michaela, called the Angel of the Streets, and has been smitten ever since.

Ten years earlier, Michaela's future and dreams collapsed when a suitor violated her and threatened to ruin her and her father's reputations if she said anything. After working at her doctor father's side for years, she began to assist women who had suffered the same fate secretly. It is a dangerous endeavor, and Michaela is frequently one step ahead of those who wish to stop her. One night, her luck runs out, and she is kidnapped.

When told of her abduction, Emmett immediately heads out to find her. I enjoyed seeing him call on his sources throughout the city to track her down, determined to find her before it was too late. They've worked together several times, and Emmett realizes how much he loves her.

I loved watching Emmett and Michaela's relationship develop. Both are healers, so they have that in common. However, Michaela believes that her reputation keeps her from having the future she craves, even though she tells others everyone deserves a second chance. Emmett has his work cut out to convince her that his love is unconditional. I loved their interactions, as Michaela's stubbornness easily matched Emmett's.

Matters are complicated by the danger that lurks for Michaela. The man from her past wants revenge and is determined to make her pay. Michaela's protectiveness toward her father and her understandable trust issues make her reluctant to reveal his identity. The suspense is intense as Emmett and other Guard members close in while Michaela remains in danger. The ending was a nail-biter and had me glued to the pages until it was over. There was an interesting twist involving Emmett at the end of the confrontation, with a hilarious follow-up in the last few pages.

The eleventh story in the Duke's Guard, Emmett O’Malley and Michaela's story held my interest and kept me turning pages. They will have to overcome a lot to get their happy ending especially after what was done to her. I found their story to be well worth reading. I want to read more in this series. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love the Duke's Guard Series and all the intriguing Irishmen that are full of honor, are a protector for anyone who needs it, and willing to give their life for those they protect.
This is Emmett's and Michaela's (the Angel of the Street) love story. Their road is not easy as Michaela becomes a target for helping to rescue women from the streets. Emmett and Michaela have worked together before rescueing women. Both are healers, and Emmett also wants to heal the hurt that Michaela carries inside and hides from others.
This story has wonderful strong characters, plenty of action, suspense, and an excellent plot.

This happens to be one of the longest series I've read and I love every minute of it. It doesn't matter which one you read first yet once you begin, I promise you will want more and more and more. Michaela is a healer who knows Emmett but until she has to depend on his help isn't interested in him. Emmett on the other hand has loved her forever. Don't miss out on this truly awesome series by a master tale expert.

We can be heroes...

Michaela was ruined as a young lady. She then began to help other fallen women or women of the streets looking to leave that profession. Emmett O'Malley likes and respects Michaela and he rescues her after she's been kidnapped. They both have a good moral compass, though O'Malley tends to think with his fists first.
Recommend.

The Duke’s Man-at-Arms by CH Admirand is another in her series of books surrounding the duke’s guard as well as his several households. He has hired a family: brothers and cousins and has never looked back. As always it is an endearing story of love and rescue. Michaela is a woman adjacent to the ton, of quality that is. Her father had wanted her to marry and had selected several potential suitors with whom she could spend time at balls and other events. Her first evening out, one of these hand-selected men ruined her and then threatened her with exposure, which would ruin her life and her father’s. So for years she has vented her hurt and rage by assisting young women in similar circumstances as well as fallen ladies wishing to leave the trade. It is during one such rescue she met Emmett O’Malley. After she had been kidnapped and is hog-tied and deposited on a cold floor, he is all she can think about. Against all odds, he is notified of her disappearance and using his many resources, find and rescues her. It is just the beginning.

Emmett, like his brothers and cousins is a well-written character who lives up to the highest standards of manhood. He and his cousins have appointed themselves as protectors, not only to the man who pays them and his family, but to anyone who needs them. Michaela is a strong woman, obviously by her avocation, but she is beyond furious this time. She knows her abductor and is hesitant to disclose his name to Emmett has he tends toward violence and she wants to tend to him herself. This is a cunning story of people who care for others and do not hesitate to act on it. Probably far from the truth, but it sure is fun to read. Great characters, good setting, excellent plot. True love, acted upon. Terrific book! Great series!

I was invited to read The Duke’s Man-At-Arms by Dragonblade. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #Dragonblade #CHAdmirand #TheDukesManAtArms

In this historical romance we are back with the brave men who are the bodyguards of the Duke and all his dependents. They are mostly from the same Irish family. Our hero this time is a healer as well. Obviously because of their profession, his skills are often needed. Our heroine is also a gifted healer who learned from her father. After a life changing attack she has dedicated her time to saving women who have suffered similarly.
There is a lot of danger for all our characters but also plenty of fun and laughter. It is a little steamy .
Although this is part of a series most of the books can be read independently. Each book is very different but equally good.
Great fun.

I'm a big fan of the series and the loveable members of the Duke's Guard.
The engaging plot is very well written and full of heartfelt emotion, action, suspense, danger, a bit of steam and humour, especially the banter and bickering between Emmett and his friends and family members. Both protagonists are endearing personalities: Emmett is a dutiful and protective cinnamon roll hero and Michaela is a strong, independent heroine who dedicates her life to helping others in need. Their feelings and admiration for each other are palpable from the very beginning.
You don't have to have read the whole series to read this book, but I recommend at least reading "The Duke's Enforcer" first, as the events of that instalment tie directly into the book and follow on from the events, the earlier protagonists also play a part in this story and Emmett and Michaela have met.

A decade ago, Michaela Colborne was robbed of her future and her dreams when the man her father had chosen for her as a suitor violated her and threatened to ruin her reputation and her father, a respected high society doctor, if she didn't keep her mouth shut.
She withdrew more and more from her father and secretly began to help women who had suffered a similar fate and became known as the "Angel of the Streets".
Emmett O'Malley, the man-at-arms and healer of the Duke's guards, has had dealings with Michaela a few times and admires her greatly. When she is kidnapped, Emmett immediately sets off in search of her and manages to find the injured woman. He realises that he loves Michaela and is prepared to protect her with his life, but she doesn't make his task easy, because although Michaela seems to know her kidnapper, who wants revenge on her, from her past, she is not prepared to reveal his identity or the events from her past to Emmett...

if you like historical romance novels with serious topics, strong characters, action and suspense, you are sure to enjoy this book!

Emmett O’ Malley, Protector!

Well, a fine story to end the year’s reading on. I loved healer Michaela Colborne and Emmet O’Malley’s story of endurance, of the healing power of love and laughter, all tied up with a wicked Lord given his comeuppance. Oh, and a couple of guardian angels thrown in for good measure.
When an injured Michaela, the healing angel of the streets is kidnapped and left tied up in an abandoned building with rats honing in on her, it was a close run thing as to whether Emmett would find her in time. O’Malley is the head of the Duke of Wyndmere’s guard in London.
Michaela is rescued, but her past is now rushing into the present. What happens is both shocking and uplifting. Emmett is a rock for her in her time of need.
A swoon worthy tale, a new episode in my guilty pleasures reading of Admirand’s fabulous Duke’s Guard series.

A Dragonblade ARC via NetGalley.
Many thanks to the author and publisher.

I am glad that I read the previous book in this series, as I was better able to follow the plot as Emmett O'Malley leaves no stone unturned to find the missing Angel of the Streets. As many survivors of trauma have found, Michaela turns to rescuing women from the streets, treating their injuries, and helping to find a new direction to assuage the burning humiliation she had suffered. Unfortunately, she stirs up a hornet's nest resulting in her abduction and she can only hope and pray that the man who has assisted her in the past will find her in time. Emmett is already drawn to Michaela and his determination to find her goes beyond doing his duty. He wants to make the brave woman his own and to help heal her inner wounds. As the tension ramps up, the attraction between them increases and although Michaela is keeping secrets, she knows that if anyone can help her lay the ghosts of the past it is Emmett. The novel comes to a dramatic conclusion, bringing healing and restoration of relationships in its wake. I received a copy of this exciting romance through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Emmett O'Malley and Michaela have met briefly through different circumstances. Although Emmett's heart has always belong to this Angel who is also a healer, but her heart hasn't been ready. Until they are thrown together. She has to lean on O'Malley and trust him. Her and his friends will help her realize that loving is people at their best.
I have so enjoyed this series and these books only got better and better through the series. There is no reason for you to read the entire series. One book doesn't stand on the rest. But you will want to. They are just that good!!!

This is a great story that is beautifully written and it captured my attention from the very beginning. I loved Michaela and the strength of her character even after her betrayal. Emmett is my hero and his growing love for Michaela only adds to depth of this story. They have their HEA with an unexpected surprise at the end. This is definitely a story worth reading.

4.5 Stars
Michaela is a healer & helped her physician father until an event changed her life, now she rescues abused women. Emmett O’Malley is one of the Duke’s guards & has been smitten with Michaela for a while, when she is kidnapped he’ll move Heaven and Earth to find her & punish the man responsible. Working alongside the angel of the streets has opened O’Malley’s eyes and his heart to someone who shares the same need to heal others. They both believe that every life has worth and everyone deserves a second chance.
The eleventh book in the series & another well written fast paced story. Emmett is hard on the outside but with a soft caring inside, he’s also a healer so he & Michaela have much in common. Michaela is one very strong woman who protects the ones she loves. I loved their journey to a HEA which is fraught with danger. The villain is vile & deserves everything he gets. I loved how everyone rallies to help when needed & are supportive & not judgemental
I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own

Wow!! What an absolutely wonderful, emotional heartwarming story!! C.H. Admirand did a great job on creating a story that was both emotional and endearing to the end. I really loved Emmett and Michaela’s story and couldn’t put the book down. The secondary characters were just as fantastic and really added to the story. The story was full of action, plenty of entertainment and lots of love!! I highly recommend this book!!

I am not sure why, but after the first few books in the series, i did not particularly liked the books. They all follow a rote storyline. In this one, we have an abused physicians daughter who works tirelessly to protect other victims of abuse. She is strong enough to overcome her past. Emmett is her protector in all ways, her heart body and soul, but will she open up enough to let him in. There's trauma, there's fighting, there's kidnapping and of course characters from previous books to keep it interesting enough.

I so love this series!Emmett and Michaela’s story has long been awaited and it was well worth the wait.Having been part of the #MeToo movement, I identified readily with Michaela and Aimee’s reactions to their abuse. Emmett’s love and care for her is so very sigh-worthy and seeing all the other family members is so satisfying! I absolutely ADORED the fight scene in the kitchen and the end results. The epilogue was hysterical and brought tears to my eyes at the same time. It does go to show that physicians are the WORST patients! An actio-packed, love conquers all story not to be missed!

I received the story for free and these are my own opinions
