When I picked up The Accidental Countess by Valerie Bowman I was excited to read it, as Valerie Bowman is a wonderful author, but I think she missed the mark when it came to this book.

In The Accidental Countess, we find Cassandra who has been waiting for the man that captured her heart (Captain Justin Swift) to come home from war and when he does, she finds out that he is engaged to her cousin... now I could go on with this story, but we both know how predictable it is going to be, and I find that disappointing.

All I can say is that is wish the storyline was better, its predictable and that makes me sad, as the authors' books are normally more original than this one.

I give The Accidental Countess 3 stars
