I am loving this collection and guide through the Psalms for my Lenten Journey! The entries are not long, holding to the 3-minute premise offered in the title. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, each day I enjoy: a brief reflection on the text, an invitation to rest a moment with the Lord, one simple step to renew my faith, and a brief prayer that draws me back to the opening psalm verse. It is quite simple, and yet quite profound. When I offer my heart and my meditations in these short moments through the Psalms, the effects are powerful. Often, God guides me deeper into the prompts and promises, which is also a beautiful thing. I know this book is dedicated to 2025, but I am hoping to be able to reuse it beyond this year.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

This starts on Ash Wednesday and runs through to Easter giving a text from the Psalms and a reflection. It is easy to read and in places challenging.
thanks to Shannon Wimp Schmidt, netgalley and Ave Maria Press

This is a great book for people who don't have a lot of time. The short devotionals are easy to sit with throughout the busy day. They are also truly inspirational and good to have during Lent. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the arc!

Nice, short devotional for the season of Lent. Starting on Ash Wednesday and going through Easter, the devotions take a few minutes each day. Each week during Lent and Holy Week, a theme is presented and repeated. There is an opening verse to set the tone, a short devotional, a moment of silence to reflect on what you learned, and then an ending with a prayer.
I've been enjoying this devotional; the themes presented and the prayers. I could also see using this devotional anytime throughout the year.

This is a quick read for the season of lent with a Bible verse, guiding thoughts and then a guided question or statement to engage God in prayer. For those looking for a daily devotional that is easy to engage with during Lent this could be a good option.

I loved this so much. It was greatly helped me grow in my faith, the more Christian books one reads I do feel the better we go to being able to connect to God on our own

This devotional takes a short 3 minutes each day to complete. Each week during Len and Holy Week, a theme is repeated. There is an opening verse to set the tone, a short devotional followed by a moment of silence to reflect on what you learned with the Lord. Finally, the day ends with a prayer. This is perfect for busy moms or parents to read with their children as it is not too long for their shorter attention spans. I recommend this for my Catholic friends during this Lenten Season of 2025. Thank you, Ave Maria Press, for letting me review this wonderful devotional through Netgalley.

I received a free copy of, Praying with the Psalms, by Shannon Wimp Schmidt, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book starts on Ah Wednesday ans goes through Easter Sunday, every day there is a 3 minute devotion. Easter is late this year, April 20th, this is a perfect devotional and prayer guide for everyone. I really enjoyed this book.
