I have read (and reread many times!) several of Sonja’s books. There is always so much to get out of them, so I was very excited for her newest book. This is the best one yet! Those of us who are striving to become saints, often don’t realize that healing is a necessary part of that journey. Painful events/wounds from the past affect our present behaviors. We act out of those wounds in our bad habits, sinful behaviors and negative attitudes. They impede our ability to love well and our progress in the spiritual life. We need healing in order to expand our capacity for love and this book shows you how in simple and practical ways! It’s a fantastic book that you’ll want to share this book with your family and friends!
This book is the perfect step 2 to Sonja's Pray Like Mary. She does review Pray Like Mary in this book so you do not have to have read it. However, as I have read both I recommend you spend time with Pray Like Mary since you have to wait until Feb 28, 2025 to read this book anyway.
Love Heals is a fantastic book for teaching you how God uses not only His Word to speak to us but He uses our very bodies! If we allow Him, He will heal us Mind, Body and Strength so we can love Him more completely every single day. However, we will only be able to do that because He first loved us so much He healed us in those areas. As a result, you will love yourself as He loves you. This book will help you do that and then born out of this beautiful Healing Love you will be able to love your neighbors' as yourself and that will mean beautifully love them!
This is an amazing book for anyone who feels worthless and have fear about things we can not control. This is the first time reading from this author and I was amazed on how much this book spoke to me.
I received a free copy of, Love Heals, by Sonja Corbitt, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book shows us how to heal with scriptures. How scripture can get us through most anything. How to heal ourselves and maintain a closer relationship with God. This was a valuable read.
