A great retelling of the movies Frozen and Frozen 2. The artwork between the two movies is slightly different which creates a nice shift in tone to symbolize moving from the first movie to the second. The illustrations are great, the dialogue is well done, and overall they captured the essence of the movies which is quite difficult to do with how scenes are based around various songs. Very well done, it's a great compliment to the films.

I'd already seen Frozen, so the story wasn't new. But, I was impressed by how they made a very song intense musical, where a lot of the songs weren't just there for fun, but pushed the narrative forward, into non-singing narrative. I haven't yet watched Frozen 2. But, I assume that they did the same with that story (and it was a fun story, I definitely need to actually find time to watch the movie with the hopefully all great singing). All in all it was two really fun reads.

This is a great retelling of the original movies! If anything the story of these movies might even come across as more clear to our younger audiences. It's always good to have stories be told in various formats as some kids process a story better as pictures and words on a page instead of a moving animation on a big screen. I enjoy the art styles used in this graphic novel retelling, and I imagine this would be a good pick for any child who loves the movies or the story of Frozen.

This graphic novel was lovely to read! The beloved stories of Frozen and Frozen 2 were captured so beautifully in the art style.

The writing was captivating and the length was perfect for the age group it is targeted for.

I think anyone who enjoyed the movies would enjoy reading this as well!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eArc of this book!

Thank you to NetGalley and Papercutz for providing this book, with my honest review below.

My niece and nephew adore Frozen (all of them) so they were my target test audience for this graphic novel. One of them is 8 and starting to hit his stride in reading and this was easy going for him, and engaging from the jump since he loves the movie. The other is 4 and doesn’t know how to read but the pictures were what she was all about and she equally loved this. It’s hard to get the kids away from begging to watch a movie and this managed to do that as they skipped their usual song and dance and instead were happy to read (or follow the pictures)!

This book loosely follows the events of the Disney movies Frozen and Frozen 2. Some details are lost, but the overall story is the same.

We love to watch Frozen so when the kiddo saw this book they immediately asked to read it! Wonderful illustrations that help tell the story were fun to follow along. Text was easy for my kids to read and understand what was going on.

** Thank you NetGalley, Papercutz, and The Disney Comics Group; Alessandro Ferrari for an eARC copy of Frozen Graphic Novels.
