Okay, this was so cute! I'm a Harley fan and a big animal lover so this was such a fun read in the perspective of her hyenas Bud and Lou as they reluctantly team up with the heroes, Ace and Jumpa. The artwork is colorful and just what I'd expect for DC Comics. It's quick, fun, quirky and definitely worth a read. I'd love to read more stories from the heroes'/villains' animal friends!

Thank you DC Comics for the drc via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

"Bud and Lou: Trouble Times Two" is a middle grade graphic novel by Ben Hed. Bud and Lou are Harley Quinn's pet hyenas in the DC universe. Harley is currently in prison, so they are left on their own. When they are set up to take the blame for the theft of Wonder Woman's lasso of truth, they team up with Batman and Wonder Woman's pets to clear their name and hopefully get to see their beloved owner. Humorous with bright illustrations and silly quips from the animals, this is a must-buy for all middle grade graphic novel collections where DC is popular.

Bud and Lou are Harley Quinn's two pet hyenas and all they want is for her to come home. When a caped canine and a wonderous kanga ambush them looking for a stolen lasso, things get interesting between friends and foe.

This was such a sweet, fun, and heartfelt DC comic. Perfect for younger kids getting into the comics and still full of action.

I liked this way more than I thought I would. I am not usually a huge DC fan, but I liked the idea of Harley Quinn's hyenas being main characters. It was very funny and cute!

This is a story told from the point of view of Harley Quinn’s two pet hyenas, Bud & Lou. I could easily see this being a fantastic cartoon. It was so fun and entertaining. I love Harley Quinn comics and I adored seeing Bud & Lou missing Harley while she is locked up. I really liked the idea of them being double crossed by other villains pet companions and needing to team up with Batman’s dog and Wonder Woman’s not a giant kangaroo - kangaroo. Such a fun idea that had Bud & Lou really parallel to Harley’s whole villain yet not hero yet also not struggle for what is right and what is wrong !

An excellent and all around adorable tale! Perfect for both kids and adult fans of DC looking for some fun, quick reading.

Bud and Lou are two characters that I had never given much though before now, but Ben Head's writing really brings the characters to life and gives them their own distinct personalities. And I really, really love the inclusion of all of the other super pets. The penguins and the way they spoke was one of my favorite sections.

I love Harley Quinn and I have read quite a few Harley Quinn graphic novels. It was cool to be able to read a book from Bud and Lou’s perspective and also meet other villains and heroes animal sidekicks. This novel was humorous and an enjoyable read.

A graphic novel that follows Bud and Lou, Harley Quinn's hyenas, as they set out to try to help Ace, the Batdog, and Thumpa (Wonder Woman's kangaroo-like creature) try to find the Lasso of Truth.

I loved this! It was so fun, and the illustrations were great. The story was easy to follow, and even though it's "for" children/middle grades, I still really enjoyed reading it. I definitely would read more of their adventures if they happen!

I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a fun take on the pet sidekicks from the DC Universe. In it, Harley's hyena duo are forced to team up with Batman's Ace and Wonder Woman's Jumpa to track down WW's missing Lasso of Truth. Along the way we run into Mr. Freeze's polar bears and the Penguin's penguins. Just so much fun! I'd love to read more adventures of Bud & Lou!

DC Comics provided an early galley for review.

This was a super-quick and super-fun read. The story does a great job introducing the various animal cast members and moves the plot along at a good pace. The personalities are varied with distinctive voices (this would make a fantastic animated film). The art style takes inspiration from animation as well, with colors that are more subdued and grounded.

This is an adventure that can be enjoyed by all-ages (both the young and the young at heart).

Another excellent graphic novel from DC. This volume is funny, lighthearted, and even a bit emotional at times. The characters are humorous yet relatable at the same time. This book was everything that I hoped Super Pets would be. I'd absolutely be interested in seeing more adventures with Bud and Lou.

Harley's Haynes Bud and Lou get there time in the spotlight with this great graphic novel. This was a fun read from start to finish that had me chuckling. I like how Bud and Lou each had their own distinct personalities. also like that Bud and Lou are shown to be smart in their own ways. the artwork was great as well just what you would expect for the creator of the Pet Foolery comics.

A wonderful and fun read. The art and dialogue were amazing. I learned about Ace, Kanga, and the Polars. I was not aware of the superhero pets, outside of Bud and Lou. I so look forward to more from the pets.

Did you know that hyenas are closely related to cats? Me either.

Bud and Lou, Harley Quinn's two hyenas are getting into lots of trouble as they wait for Harley to come back from her stint in jail. It's been almost a year (minus a day) since Harley got caught. Then, Ace (Bat Dog) corners/captures them because he thinks that they know where Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth is (Wonder Woman's humongous Kanga Jumpa is looking for it. And so the story takes us on an adventure to a bunch of Gotham villains' sidekicks as they look for it.

And, look, I already knew I'd like it because I love Ben Hed's other comic -- Pet Foolery--, but, even so, somehow this comic surpassed even the super high expectations that I had going in. It was so amazingly awesome. I mean, the author got two hyenas to have the same vibe (aww-- the scarf thing was awesome) as Harley Quinn. But, it was also different enough to be interesting. Honestly, 5 stars isn't enough.

This was absolutely adorable.

Ben Hed's artstyle is so iconic and pleasing to the eye when it comes to drawing animals so he was a perfect fit to this little story.

The comedy was on-point and Bud and Lou are just the cutest duo.

I would love to see more of DC's animal heroes and villain minions done in this style.

Literally can't complain about a thing here. Solid comic for kids and DC fans alike.

Absolutely hilarious! This is my first book by Ben Hed and I loved it. It follows Harley's hyenas and a few other Justice League animals. It is a cute story that young readers will enjoy. The art fit the story very well.

5 stars
