An emotional, angst-filled trip that made me relive all of the bittersweet loves I've experienced! I'll Look for You Everywhere is a must-listen for lovers of slow-burning romance, family drama, and unresolved tension because of its excellent narration, which enhances an already captivating story. The narration is fantastic! What a fantastic book!

Sadly, this book was not for me. The writing was flowery and poetic, and I really liked that aspect, but I just could not get into the story. Maggie was young, but Theo was not, and somehow, he was more immature than she was. There were a lot of typical virginal FMC / playboy MMC with secret trauma situations, but I didn’t find any of the characters particularly likable, so that made it difficult to see past the trope. I wasn’t really rooting for anyone. They all just seemed a little miserable. Theo was honestly mean a lot of the time and gave me emotional whiplash, which I think was the point, but it just didn’t work for me.
I think the author did a good job of writing unlikeable characters. I wanted them all to find peace and healing, so I suppose I was rooting for them in a way, but I also didn’t really care? Theo was an asshole to Magdalen, and she was extremely quick to jump to conclusions when he wasn’t doing anything wrong and to forgive him when he was. They just seemed to be struggling a ton (understandable, given their tragic pasts) but we didn’t get the satisfaction of seeing them grow and develop.
There was an overall feeling of melancholy throughout the entire story, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it would have been nice to have some levity at some points. It made it a bit difficult to finish.
I also wasn’t a huge fan of the pacing. It seemed like we got hints of what the main characters were dealing with throughout the book, and then as soon as there was a revelation, it was over. And I didn’t love the ending, though I suppose it was maybe the most realistic ending for these characters. But I do wish we got something a bit more satisfying.
Overall, I don’t agree with the reviews that say this is just about hooking up in Italy. Because there wasn’t actually very much hooking up. There were a couple of spicy scenes, but nothing crazy.
The audiobook narration was well-done, so that was a win. The narrators appropriately conveyed the melancholy feel of the story.
Thank you to Hachette and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this ALC.

The tension between the two main characters was sizzling. After years away from their town, when they return, old feelings resurface. Can they overcome all the obstacles in the way and finally give into their feelings?
Thanks to Net Galley for the ALC copy!

A New Adult but also coming of age love story set in gorgeous Chivasso Italy.
Magdalen and Theo are back home for the wedding of Magdalens sister. Mag back fro.Oxford and Theo after 7 years of fleeing to the US.
We see the story unfold with hidden childhood trauma, shyness and overuse of sexuality to cope. Who knew over the summer they would find themselves and each other.
My only gripe is the ending, we don't really get true closure on Magdalen and Theo's story. Maybe this is a first in a series? 🤔

I unfortunately had to DNF this book. It just wasn't for me, but thank you so much for considering me for the opportunity.
I will not review on socials or goodreads.

DNF @ 25% - I could not get into the story. I had the impression that this was a childhood friends to lovers, but they were just acquaintances?
I didn't care for where this book was going.

“I’ll Meet You, Somewhere” is a slow-burn romance with characters who experience a lot of push and pull throughout the story after not seeing each other for several years. They are reunited in a way due to a wedding. I did have some challenges with the pacing of the story. I liked Magdalen
and Theo's characters and enjoyed the narration. Still, there seemed to be more about what was happening with them and not necessarily about the underlying plot itself. The ending was not something I expected for this type of story.

I wanted to love this. At first I understood Magdalen’s self deprecating, low self esteem. I struggled with my own self esteem deeply growing up but this just felt like the ramblings of an angsty teenager as there was next to no character development on either part of the FMC and MMC by the end of it. 🥲 even as a second chance romance, I found I difficult to understand why they even like each other outside of crushes as young teens.
I did think the narrators did a great job other than the fact that I thought her name was Maudlin or something and I was very confused to see it was not lol.

This book is not a romance. The person who classified it as such was mistaken, and it was the first step to the ‘disaster’ that this book became.
I enjoyed the plot, but it was slow and long, filled with indecisions, miscommunication, trauma, and family drama.
There is no happy ending, so don’t expect one. However, you will find a fantastic description of Italy (Chivasso and Torino), a lot of unresolved family drama (which remained unresolved), and mental health struggles.
I’m not easily triggered, but I felt there could have been some kind of warning about drug use, abuse, and infidelity.
I listened to the audiobook partially, and the dual narration wasn’t bad, but I enjoyed the ebook experience more.
By the end of the book, the main characters had not developed at all. They both ended the same way they started.
If you’re a fan of reading stories about Italy, then you should definitely read this book.

I didn't find the story to have much substance. The attraction was purely sexual if I'm being honest, and the ending just seemed to prove me right. The major revelations in the plot gave little to no connection to the "love story" and it was all about their individual trauma and how it messed them growing up.
There was a lot of cursing and this book rates 3/5 in my spice scale.

This book is a tricky one to review! It’s an opposites-attract romance about childhood best friends reuniting as adults. The story is sexy, messy, and beautifully written, exploring themes of reconciling with the past and rediscovering love.
I’ll admit, that some critiques I’ve seen about the lack of plot resonate with me. However, I think the book’s focus is less on a traditional plot and more on the emotional journey and the answers these two best friends find.
The descriptions of the setting and characters are stunning, with moments that will resonate with readers in their late 20s and early 30s. The dialogue has a way of evoking deep feelings. That said, at times, the two main characters felt overshadowed by the sheer number of side characters and backstories, making it feel like a big, chaotic reunion.
As for the ending, I think it could have used something more unexpected or impactful to tie it all together.
Overall, it’s a beautifully written book, especially for Paris lovers. The cover gets 5 stars, and the characters 4 stars, but the lack of plot and abundance of characters might make it a bit overwhelming for some readers.
I also wanted to mention that your experience as a reader will be very different if you listen to the audio instead of reading e pub.

I knew this would be angsty and I was fine with it, thinking this was romance and expected a HEA.
Theo and Magdalen are childhood friends and return to Italy to celebrate the Magdalen's sister's wedding. Magdalen has always had a crush on Theo and having Theo back brings all the feelings back.
Theo is a major asshole and treat Magdalen poorly. They are both pretty immature but I guess given their age, I get it but frustrating none the less. You learn of why Theo acts the way he does and felt there was no growth in his character.
The ending left me feeling underwhelmed.
I don't know if I missed this in the story but I dont know why Magdalen had an English accent in the narration. I know she is at school in Oxford but I would not think she would lose her Italian accent. Aside from that, Cam Wilder and Grace Blyth did bring out the angst in the story.
Thank you @readforeverpub @hachetteaudio for a copy of the book.

The audio itself was great. The voice actors did a great job I just wasn’t the biggest fan of the story itself. Great audio though and would recommend.

I really don't want to give another bad review for this book, but I have to review it, There was no plot, not much story or character development it was a struggle to get through.

This cover is beautiful! But I struggled a bit when it came to this story. I was finding myself not paying attention to the story and instead easily getting distracted. This may be a story I need to reread with my eyes instead! Give it another chance!

I was so excited when I was given the opportunity from Forever Friends to read this audiobook. I have been trying to incorporate audiobooks into my reading life because I’ve recognized how useful and productive they can be to my reading goals.
This one was unfortunately a miss for me. Romance is my preferred genre ATM and there was something just incredibly unlikable about the MMC. I loved the fact it was in Italy and it had a small town vibe because if you know me then you know that’s my jam! But I suppose not everyone can be a win!

This book was much more poetic than I expected, which made it a slower start but overall more beautiful. The characters sometimes read like characters and not real people, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing for a book I am reading for an escape.
Both of the narrators were great and kept me going with the story.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me listen!

After both leaving their small Italian hometown, Magdalen and Theo find themselves back at the same time which sparks old feelings that both had tried to hide. There are many underlying complications which hinder their relationship. Then once a secret comes out it's unclear if they can recover.
I was excited about this one but unfortunately this one just didn't grab me. The narrators were great (I had the audio only) but the story had my mind wandering while listening. I never fully connected with the characters and so their story wasn't so intriguing to me. There was nothing wrong with the writing, I just never really got into this one.
3.5 stars
Thank you to Hachette Audio and NetGalley for the ARC to review

This had a slow start for me but overall a good read. You can definitely feel the attraction and chemistry between the pair. Plus who doesn’t love a brother’s best friend story?!

I wasn't feeling this debut. It has been getting great buzz and I understand why with its Colleen Hoover vibes but as a second chance, dual timeline, dual POV romance that deals with heavy family issues, it just somehow didn't work for me. I listened to the audiobook and didn't love the narrators so maybe that contributed to me mediocre feelings but overall this was a skippable read for me. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.
