Perfect reading journal!! This color palette is much better than the previous journal release. The palette is bright and colorful instead of dark and basic colors.

The free apps for using this journal are not free. There is a subscription.
It is very difficult to import stickers etc.
I found it not very user friendly.

A great and inspiring journal! I already printed a few favorite and alphabet pages, and I wonder if there would be a physical copy of it or not!

As someone who exclusively uses a desktop PC, I've been happy with my extensive spreadsheets to track my reading each year. But a proper reading journal is very appealing, particularly because I want to make more of an effort to review everything I read, or at least jot down at least some thoughts on each book.

Y'all the digital journal landscape is BLEAK. I knew it was going to be rough using a desktop instead of a tablet, but the "free" apps aren't free, and worse, everything is chock full of inescapable AI integration. Obviously that part isn't We Are Bookish's fault, but I was still really taken aback at hard it is to get started in this hobby. The built-in PDF editor on Firefox is the only thing that was remotely usable, but there's still a big lack of functionality that I assume the ipad+stylus folks are getting. (trying to resize covers consistently and center them above the ratings was a nightmare, I wish there was a faint outline or something to help line everything up properly)

Overall, I love the idea of this, and it's a cute journal, but oh man I don't recommend for people without tablets.

It's a lovely gift for readers and practical for those who like digital planning. Thanks, NetGalley.

Good journal, bad updates

Look, this was a great starter journal last year, but changing the color palette doesn't do ANYTHING for it. Making the new pages a zip file rather than putting them in the journal itself...why though??

The art does not match the new palette. The art is very sad beige. (According to my kid, "The March art isn't even Marchy!") I covered it all up with stickers because it was so bland.

For people who focus most of their reading on NetGalley, it's fine (if still kinda fug). For me? I'm moving on.

Whoa I actually love and will probably use this. If nothing else, the more general reading tracker w a space for the cover, dates, and ratings.

I have kept a reading journal for several years, and I've dabbled in digital journals for the last couple. This reading journal was great for cataloguing read books visually. I prefer more lists/checklist styles, but I was easily able to insert pages that match my preferred format to the based journal. I also enjoyed the sticker pack that was included. I will definitely get a lot of use out of them! I had hoped this may be slightly different than last year's reading journal, and while I love the updated color scheme, it was the same otherwise. Looking forward to using it and tracking my NetGalley books.

Earlier this year I bought a new iPad and a pen and now I can use this journal properly! I love it a lot!! It’s so easy to use and so colourful, I can’t wait to start 2025 and to add all the books I read on NetGalley in it. Totally recommend it, especially if you’re an avid reviewer.

This was an interesting concept. I like the options for keeping tabs on books that need to be reviewed, which is always part of the struggle. I liked that adding book covers was encouraged and there were prompts thet would help things organized for end of year wrap ups. Some of my complaints with the 2024 version, still exist for 2025, however. As an Android user, I would have preferred if both editing app options were also Android friendly. Goodnotes looks like an interesting option, but I would not be able to use it. I would have to use Xodo and that's another account to make and deal with. I would be curious to know if there were additional options for Android users; we get a little short changed.

This is an excellent reading journal, especially for someone with a never ending TBR and who is newer to the ARC reviewing community! Thank you Netgalley for the resource!

Nice journal for keeping track of all your reading! Lots of space for tracking all the details of your reading journey throughout the year. The stickers make it even more enjoyable! I definitely recommend the reading journal.

This is definitely an upgrade compared to last year's book journal!

Love the colour scheme, as it features more darker colour and is more comfortable for me to look at.

Personal favourites are the monthly check-ins as well as the challenges at the very end.

Overall a great journal!
