3.5 star. "The Paris Chapter" was a charming and atmospheric read that successfully transported me to the streets of Paris. The setting was beautifully rendered, and I thoroughly enjoyed the vivid descriptions that brought the city to life. The story itself was sweet and heartwarming, and I found myself rooting for the characters as they navigated their personal journeys. While it offered a delightful escape, some of the plot points felt a bit predictable, and I occasionally wished for a little more dramatic tension or unforeseen twists. Nevertheless, it's a lovely and engaging read, perfect for anyone looking for a dose of Parisian romance and charm.

I've loved all of Victoria Walters books so far and i couldn't have been more excited to get to read this one. I loved Tessa from the moment she stepped onto the page, she was just so relatable and i think we've all been her at some point in our lives. I absolutely adored the message behind this book, that you need to love yourself and who you are before loving someone else and i completely agree with it. But i also loved the romance between Ethan and Tessa, the fact that they both had hang-ups to work through just made the whole story so much more realistic because no one goes into a relationship with no baggage from their past.
As always Victoria Walters writing style was amazing and flows beautifully, drawing you into the story so that you loose time and are in no way upset about it.

This funny, flirty, and charming rom-com is your next cozy binge read. This story mixes heartbreak, haute couture, and a sizzling one-bed situation which makes this rom-com an absolute delight to read.

Tessa is a romance writer who can’t write about love anymore—which is a bit of a problem. Her solution is to jet off to Paris for some solo soul-searching. But she's in for a big surprise when she arrives and finds her ex’s best friend, Ethan (tall, charming, can apparently cook?), is already crashing at her Airbnb.

With Paris Fashion Week in full swing, zero spare hotel rooms, and one very small apartment, the forced proximity trope kicks in with full force. Sparks fly, banter bounces, and you guessed it, there is only one bed.

Ethan is the kind of book boyfriend who ruins real men forever, and Tessa’s journey from heartbreak to hope is so sweet to witness.

A delightful story full of chemistry, charm, and wit!

I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Okay, so A Paris Chapter—this book got me with the cover first. It’s stunning! And then the title? C’mon, A Paris Chapter—who wouldn’t want to be in Paris, even if just through a book? Every romantic girl out there has dreamed of it at some point—whether for a vacation, a fresh start, or just that dreamy, bookish life.

Now, coming to the story—this book had me hooked. Not just because the characters are great (which they are) or because the story is awesome (which it totally is), but because the whole feel of it is just chef’s kiss.

Let’s talk about Ethan first—he’s a chef (yes, a cook!!), and I loved everything about him. He’s the kind of character who just makes you want to sit in a cozy café, eating pastries, and listening to his stories. Then there’s Tresa, our romance author FMC, and she’s just as lovable. Their dynamic? So, so good. And Ethan’s friends? They add such a warm vibe to the book.

The writing? Simple, easy, and makes you feel Paris. You read it, and boom—you’re there. The streets, the monuments, the cafés—it’s all so vivid, like you’re walking through the city with them.

Now, the romance—this gave me second-chance but also ex-boyfriend-friend trope vibes, and I loved it. But what really stuck with me is how much this book focuses on mental health and self-love. There’s this saying I love: Self-love is love; everything else is a bonus. And this book? It gets that. It’s a reminder that loving someone is great, but loving yourself? That’s the real deal.

I’m obsessed with the whole romantic, dreamy, Parisian feel of this book. If you love stories that make you feel warm inside, this one’s a must-read!

A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!

A cute romance set in the city of love - Paris. Tessa fleas to Paris in the aftermath of a breakup, suffering from writer's block despite a looming deadline from her publisher. On arrival, she is dismayed to find her Air BnB is inhabited by a friend of her ex. Accommodation is impossible to find as it is Paris Fashion Week, so they decide to share. Let the sexual attraction begin! Ethan appreciated Tessa in a way her ex never did, but after so long with her ex, is she really over him? A sweet love story that includes a lesson in self love and self respect. #theparischapter #victoriawalters #netgalley

This was a new author for me, and reading about Paris seemed like a nice escape during the winter. I was a little disappointed in this book, it was good but could use a good edit. The main character was funny and I loved reading about Paris, but it's a solid meh from me.

There is nothing more romantic than writing a love story set in Paris a.k.a the City of Love. The Paris Chapter follows the insightful journey of Tessa, a writer that went from not believing in love anymore to realizing that love is everywhere and will not cease to exist. That realization stemmed from her stay in Paris as well as with the help of Ethan, a chef who also happens to be friends with Tessa's ex. Intantly, their chemistry hooked me and I especially loved the fact that it's so refreshing that they were completely honest with each other about their feelings and that they're not rushing into things. It made for such an great slow burn that absolutely made it worth it once you get to their happy ending. I love that they inspire and bring out the best in each other!

What I love about Walter's books is how she writes strong female friendships and it is written so beautifully in a way that it shows you how girls really show up for each other through thick and thin. Carly, Tessa, and Juliette's friendship is one of the highlights for me. Juliette, despite knowing Tessa for a short amount of time, touched me with the way she openly accepted and cared for Tessa. I just love these girls and I wish every girl in the world have their kind of friendship.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book! I'm not really fond of the love triangle trope but I like how it drove the character development of Tessa for this story. I love stories that highlight the importance of self-love and how it is the most important foundation to let you know not only the kind of love you deserve but also to accept yourself for who you are. This book does an amazing job of driving that message! Every girl deserves an Ethan in their lives who will cook you food, speaks French, learn chess for you, read your books, and be head over heels in love with you ;) It's so romantic reading through the moment of them slowly falling in love with each other whilst they travel the around the most romantic spots in Paris! Oh to be loved ;")

many thanks to NetGalley and Victoria Walters for providing me an e-arc of this novel!!

I must say the plot was good but i loved the way Victoria portrays toxic relationships and hardships in this book. I felt like the characters were so real in that sense.

My favorite part would have to be Tessa discovering that yes, she is worthy and deserves better, I loved that she didn't think it was right and was adamant about her decision to not get back with Joe.

the only reason this is not a five star read is because to me the sex scenes felt a bit awkward. Not that they are not good, but I felt like I skipped a lot of them due to the cringe dialogue. Also, sometimes even though i loved how Victoria portrays insecurities i felt like they asked "are you sure" a little too much sometimes. But honestly I loved how they communicated through the entire thing, it's so rare nowadays!!

Victoria did it again, im so happy and hope to read more of hers soon!

You can’t go wrong with a romance set in Paris! Tessa and her fiance booked an air b&b for their honeymoon. When he calls it off, she decides to go to Paris alone. She’s shocked to find her exe’s best friend Ethan already at the apartment.
They both decide to stay, and sparks fly between them as the time passes.
I enjoyed this escapist romance, 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley, I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Wasn’t a bad book but didn’t grab me and keep me either. Was entertaining but nothing special. Interested to read other books by her!

New to Victoria Walters as an author, but the word Paris in the title is my weakness, and even though it's a familiar story (the broken-hearted heads to Paris to try to find love again), I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Because of the common enemy of the evil ex-boyfriend, what a jerk he is to have offered the apartment the leading lady paid for to his friend and even lied about having paid for it!

Happy endings are my weaknesses - but I will not be providing any spoilers. I enjoyed this book - highly recommended for a romantic light read, and I will be looking for other books from this author to read as well!

Tessa, a romance writer, just found out her boyfriend was cheating on her. Newly si how she decides to go to Paris, she and Joe were planing to go together. She decides to use the non refundable apartment she payed and get back her inspiration for the book she has a deadline on and didn’t even started.
When she arrives, she finds a stranger coming out of the shower with minimum cover, turn out it’s Joe’s friend, Joe, her ex- boyfriend.
Being there during fashion week makes imposible to find accommodation for Ethan, he is there for a cooking course so he cannot leave the city, They decide to share the place.
Maybe the city will help Tessa believe in romance again.
I enjoyed the story, the characters and the narrative.

I have read many books by Victoria Walters and they never disappoint!

The Paris Chapter is the perfect cosy romance, in the most dreamy of settings....the city of love!

I adored the characters romance progression throughout, which was both realistic and captivating to the very end, basically, a perfect read for us romance readers who love LOVE!

*Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Victoria Walters for my ARC of this book in return of my honest review.*

Thanks to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Victoria Walters for the chance to read this e-arc in exchange for an honest review. The Paris Chapter is about unlucky in Love Tessa who after a heart-breaking break-up decides to go to Paris and mend her creative writers block in the city of love. There she finds Ethan sharing the same apartment she was meant to stay in. The two clash, while Tessa tries to mend her broken heart. Will Ethan become the friend and confidante she has always dreamed of and written about?

I really enjoyed this book, nice, short and sweet. The plot moved along really well and there were a few twists and turns which I always like in a romance. I did like that the main character was a romance writer trying to find inspiration for her next book while going through romantic mishaps of her own. The romance built steadily and I really liked the setting in Paris and the other charming characters who she becomes friends with while in Paris.

I would highly recommend this book and I would love to read future novels from Victoria.

In this fun and charming new Parisian romance novel, readers follow romance author Tessa Elliot upon her arrival to Paris, looking for inspiration and healing from a break up, when she realizes that her ex’s best friend Ethan is also in her rented apartment. With no available places to rent during Paris Fashion Week, Tessa and Ethan decide to share the apartment since they’re working on other projects -- a new novel and a cookery class, respectively -- but the shared evenings in the apartment might just force them to confront this proximity and simmering attraction before they return to their separate lives. With a host of fun tropes and charming characters set against the consistently romantic backdrop of Paris, readers will love Victoria Walters’s new novel and her two protagonists. From roommates, only one bed, forced proximity, a love triangle, and a trip to Paris, the tropes in this novel are well-chosen and work well with Ethan and Tessa, who are both funny, complex, and relatable with the perfect amount of chemistry and animosity. Fun, deeply enjoyable, and a great mix of charming and spicy, readers will love this new novel and the progression of Tessa and Ethan’s relationship in the iconic City of Love.

A fun easy-read romance. Is it predictable? Sure. Does it have Emily in Paris vibes meets the Flatshare? Yep. New love interest, one-bed situation, creepy ex, new best friends... The Paris Chapter has everything you need for a light-hearted romance. Doesn't break the mould, but you don't always need that.

Aaaah, just loved this one, set in Paris, what’s not to love. Wanted to be friends with Juliette, who was my favourite character.
Interesting to read the relationship with the writer and her editor and publishing house.

Cosy up and transport yourself to the city of love ❤️
